"Perfect!" Hide picked her drink back up and took a sip, seemingly happy to have at least calmed the ronin down. "I'll give you my comm info. I really look forward to meeting this friend of yours. And introducing you to the wife."

"I think it was that, something about a Mantis Shrimp anyway. He never said anything about a public concert but he wasn't there long."

"Yes," she chuckles, brief as it is. An almost strange thing to hear from her. As if she wasn't quite sure how to accomplish the right sound with it the tone of it shifts from the start to finish. Brushing along the glass with her thumb once before returning to turning the thing in her hand. "It is usually threats that we seek out. Subtle changes in a friend or lover that might suggest they are not who they once were. Perhaps the subtle changes in the surroundings to know you are being crept upon. Threats.. everything holds a level of threat. But.."

"Yes," she says, "I do like spotting out the subtle curiosities in people myself. I admit. Understanding people is.. I like to have that which others do not about another. To be more, I think," she twists her lip, shaking her head. No, that wasn't quite right, "To understand more about a person than anyone else ever has, or ever will."

An action that was not inspired by her thirst, nor her need to gauge the woman like she'd intended to allow it to seem. No, simply she considers all the ways she might word what she knows best. Something that was perhaps a touch more difficult than the other prospect might have been.

"First I would look at your eyes," she says, as if walking Yakumo through her minds eye. "You can tell almost everything you need to know about a person through their eyes. What are they paying attention to? You have paid attention to me from the moment we started talking, but you also paid attention to your cohort when he entered," she says with just a touch of a smirk. "You are interested in what I have to say but do not limit yourself to just what is in front of you. I would say this shows that you wish to experience as much of life as you can in what time you have, fleeting as it is for all of us."

Knowing the weight of that, Koyuki breathes in deep and settles the slight prick of her nerves on the exhale. Settling back down, forward again, onto her legs just before the knee.

Words, emotions, hopes, and dreams, you are clearly a seeker of beauty in life but not of the superficial variety. You're not interested in the common beautiful words of one particular suitor over the other and how masterfully they might speak. You are interested in what is real, and substantial. Much to the point that you look in the places others would not see fit to and place yourself beside them, because you know the pain that often comes with the beauty you seek," she lingers on that thought, brushing the glass with the edge of her thumb lightly, anxiously.

"It is-" she swallows- "an uneasy feeling. To be able to look one so opposite yourself in the eye. Someone who sees as much in life as you do," she says, not daring to look up. For the sake of maintaining propriety, it seems only fitting. Koyuki was rather glad of that particular bit of etiquette.

"My... I'd hate to be some soul-sucking cultist or the like in your presence, if that is how well you read people. My cover would be blown right away." It was clearly a joke, judging by her laugh, though some anti-Spider folks would probably take that as a joke in poor taste because all Spiders were secretly baby-eating oni-worshippers! Or something... she had no idea what they actually thought most of the time except for hating them.

"I don't think anyone has gotten such a good, and accurate assessement of me in such a short time. You must do your sensei proud."

Sakura nodded. "I haven't heard about that style, but now I'm at least partially intrigued." She titled her head in curiosity. "Practice? Really? Bayushi-sama's confidence seems so...natural. Like she was born with it."

Not that you should need it," she offers, toying with her glass absently in her hand. Was certainly truer than most here would ever possibly realize, and that was for the best for everyone involved.

"You...didn't?" Mariko said with a blink of surprise on that rather awkward note. Who didn't know their grandparents? What kind of strange lineage inconsistencies did the Firefly have? Did they just get vented in space once in a while?

Get your things and meet me outside, I will wait for you," she says, with some cool certainty that she would manage to get out ahead of Yakumo if she made an effort of it.

"Oh a secret. Ok!" While it wouldn't take Yakumo long to pick up her things, Koyuki would still get a good headstart ahead of her.

Yakumo cast a last look around before heading outside to meet the Kuni.

"Haha! No problem." Hide smiled wide before she shot Yurei a wink. "Yeah, good food is a great motivator."

"I think you get me."
She winks back before sliding a little lower in the Jacuzzi.

"Food and a double date it is. For now I'm just going to sort of...close my eyes. If I slip below the water can you kick me or something?"
