[D6 LE, OPEN] Oshidama Victory Party

“Ah! Yurei-san. It’s nice to see you again. Glad you could make it to the party.” Hide adjusted herself so she could face Yurei better. She took a swig of her beer and gave the ronin a glance over. “Enjoying yourself? The chicken sure looked good.”

"Oh I'm having a wonderful time Matsu-sama, it's been a long couple of days."
Yūrei is clearly a little red in the cheeks as it's likely not her beer. There's also a truly bizarre collection of different tanlines present on the ronin as if she's spent days at the beach in a motley collection of clothes.

"Very busy...lots going on."
There's a pause for a few moments as she seems to lose focus before snapping back to Hide, and throwing a wink at the more distant Kazumi.
"Just trying to give my mind a little rest is all. And how has the World of Dreams treated you?"

Tsuyo takes the shot glass Sakura passes her as the younger Firefly buzzes around the space hostessing, tossing it back just in time to miss seeing the giant splash, though she heard it fine. Eyes up to the open air reminded her of how exposed they all were there. The splash was probably somebody falling, not something crashing from the sky...almost certainly.

She closes her eyes with a shudder that has nothing to do with the alcohol burn chasing down her throat. Any thought of detaching the leg and hopping into the jacuzzi for a soak has burned away with the splash as she moves instead to lean against the bar, setting the shot glass down and looking for the bottle the shots came from. Seeing it sitting on the bar just past Kazumi, she uses her cane to poke the stool next to him to rasp against the ground and catch his attention.

"Evenin' Soshi-san. Great show, amazin' energy. That wrap is stunnin'. And I'm gonna cut the small talk a second and ask you to pass me that bottle, if you've got the time, thanks." It's brusque, but sincere, her grin a tad nervous.

Kazumi would wink back raising their glass in a toast to the woman before taking another drink the masks mouth opening mechanism coming in clutch these days with so many gatherings.

as kAzumi settled back in they saw the Firefly approaching and nodded though the expression was hidden, the eyes gave the impression of a welcoming smile. The vibe was matched by the tone of their voice when Kazumi responded

"Why thank you Hotaru-san." the unique mid toned voice with a hint of rasp was usually found to be pleasant to the ear if a bit unusual as the receiver would have trouble determining the gender of the speaker through voice alone "I rarely get a chance to wear it these days but a mantis party seemed just about right."

Kazumi gracefully reached for the bottle and handed it to Tsuyo "and I'm glad you enjoyed the show, it was an honor just to share the stage with two super starts like Hinata-sama and Yakumo-sama."

The Scorpion looked at her for a moment "Not quite your crowd?" they asked with one eyebrow raised.

"Hmm rare chance to wear it, rarer chance...hmm, more like choice...ta sing. All sorts've significance to the night."

She takes the bottle with a nod of thanks before pouring her glass full once more, then gesturing vaguely up with the bottle. "Too much sky really, and then all the splashin'. Keeping both legs on'll be better for my nerves than a hot soak." Tossing the shot back before pouring again, she adds, "though a bit more of this an' the sharp edges'll fuzz a bit."

She holds the bottle up in his direction in an obvious offer to pour. "Have a glass?"

Better late than never, right? Nishdia arrived quite late to the party, but quickly joined the samurai and made small talk with a few lowly Mantis samurai. There was no better moment than now to have a look around.

[Bayushi Mariko]

Sakura followed, bowing deeply. "Bayushi-sama! Is there anything I can do to help?" She deserpately wanted to help her in any way, preferably to stay, but things weren't easy. Despite being the co-host, this was Seika's embassy so she only had so limited tools to work with.

"Can I help you dry your hair?"

Mariko ruffled her hair with the towel a bit before Sakura approached. She sighed and hung the towel on her shoulders, not looking too pleased with her two-colour hair in a bit of disarray from the ordeal. Maybe it was too much to expect her hair would stay perfect when around water but what happened was something else.

"I could use a brush or a comb." She frowned as she glance about, her things a bit further away. "...Can you tell me what the actual fuck happened? Was that supposed to be a prank?"

"Kaiu Setsu-sama thought it was agood idea to cannonball into a jacuzzi full of people. I am not sure why the ever living fuck he thought that was a good idea." The usually chipper Sakura's use of cursing did seem to indicate her thoughts on the matter.

"Would you like something stronger to warm you up Bayushi-sama?"

[Asahina Hinata]

Well there had went one pretty lady, as well as the other attractive female that had brought shots. Not much he could do about that though. So instead he looked to the Crane followed by the Lion. "You're probably not gonna want to finish that beer Asahina-san." Jun said after a moment before rising to his feet. "I'll fetch you a new one. Anyone else want anything?"

"Oh thank you, Hotaru-samaaa!!"

He gave up the bottle without any further fuss and just enjoyed the water and jacuzzi jets, now it wasn't flying around.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

The Fox got a nod from Jun as he exited the jacuzzi and went to the bar. It would take a few minutes to come back but when he did it would be with a punch bowl in his hands.

Apparently he had commandeered the bowl and filled it with ice as well as an assortment of beers and even a bottle of sake. Setting the bowl by the side of the jacuzzi, he slipped back into the water before proceeding to pass out drinks to those in need.

"Perfect. Thank you." Kiyoshi accepted a bottle and immediately drank.

While she didn't know with absolute certainty, now she had some testimony behind it. "It's a jacuzzi, not the community pool at some heimen hovel. A miracle he didn't break something." Choke on a rice cracker.

While not pleased about the situation, her mood has at least improved enough that she wasn't going to storm right out anymore. "Yes, get me something sweet. Please, Hotaru-san."

I think Bayushi-sama's reinvention has been a rousing succes so far, at least in my modest opinion." She raised her eyes towards the Scorpion's shoulder. "Bayushi-sama's confidence is certainly inspiring."

The fresh beer was sampled, Hinata not really noticing any different but he always assumed others knew better on such things.

Kazumi fished a glass from the bar "I don't drink often but tonight seems like an occasion for it, at least a little have to drive back later and all that. I'd love to share a drink with you Hotaru-san" kazumi said happily offering up the glass.

[Susumu Yuji]

Also getting another beer was the wide-eyed researcher from the Sanctuary that had been too late to participate the Oshidama tournament, but had been cheering by the court up until the end and stayed behind talking to Sumiko afterwards. Her eyes went back to Setsu now and then - the Kaiu had mentioned Crab stereotypes a few days back, but she still didn't expect something quite like this.

Her eyes not quite focusing on what she was doing, she almost stumbled on Yuji as she came closer to where the beers were.

"Ah! I'm sorry, Susumu-san", she says, then bows to him, as politely as would be appropriate in such a relaxed situation. "I... had my attention elsewhere, with... that going on."

"No need to apologize." The Susumu returns the bow to her, holding his beer in one hand. "It's uh.... pretty shocking display." His voice was reserved, quiet. The Deceiver reached for a second beer, offering to her. "At least let me get thisbbeer for you, because of the commotion."

She half considers shoulder bumping Hide but decides over familiarity is rarely appreciated.

"I'm sure whatever it was it regretted troubling a pair of Lion."
She takes another sip of beer as a strange expression crosses her face for a moment.
"Matsu-sama, um, and tell me if this is too personal. But is...is courting a woman different to courting guys? Just asking for a friend, a ronin friend."

[Susumu Yakumo]

Busying her gaze, she glances through the crowd as they speak. Keeping tabs on who was present for the party as a small mental exercise to keep herself mindful of the details. Details in both her surroundings, what she was saying, and of course all that she might pick up on from Yakumo herself. Sipping idly at her drink with that casual air of a woman rather enthralled with the opportunity presented her. Well, as much as Koyuki could look 'enthralled' that was.

"I wouldn't know. I have never had the need to inspire myself for something artistic but," she considers the thought a moment. "Perhaps, yes. Tonight I think I might have learned just what that feels like, I think. Thinking of a person and having ideas pop into one's mind, creative ideas," she places the edge of her glass against her bottom lip but doesn't drink. First, vocalizing a small, "Mmm," sound to get that thoughtful sense to her thinking.

"Would you tell me more about what it is about this muse that inspires you? I cannot help but be curious," she says, a subtle amusement filtering into her tone.

"Oh, hmmmm," her lips pursed in thought, "my muse is a very elusive one! Not one to speak many words, but there is a way that a look in the eyes or a simple gesture can speak a thousand words... and it always makes me wonder about questions like what is the story behind the look in those eyes? or where did they learn such gentle touches? especially since they might seem harsh or cold at a glance."

Yakumo paused to catch her breath, and wet her throat. When it came to topics she really enjoyed, she really could go on forever. "Because I really like that mystery that comes with not judging a book by its cover. Sure, an interesting cover might draw your attention but the important stuff is between the pages! The words, the emotions, the experience, hopes, and dreams... so, in a way, my muse is someone who evokes these questions and thoughts within me, and I wish to put it into song. I don't only write my own emotions and experiences, but I often attempt to convey the stories and feelings of others I have met in my life."
