“Don’t forget the festival where I had to carry your giant bird plushie.” Hide just shook her head, chuckling. “Oh, I’m gonna have to carry the shark, huh? Well, I guess we can give the leftovers to Akodo-sama. Think she’d want them?”

"Oh right, Birdo. Well, that thing was too big at the time! Of course, you had to carry it. Only because you had the arms for it and I was still recovering." She grinned Hide. "A bird is a bird, but this is a shark. I think I can carry this one just fine."

"About, Akodo-sama, let's find her before the night is over?" She offered

Toting a modest little stack of tickets, Reki stood in the arcade now wondering what she should use these tickets on....

She couldn't help but frown at the number of prizes that were 'popular person in mildly suggestive pose'. A part of her longed for emotion responding cat/fox ears. They were funny and completely ridiculous. She liked that about them. She had not enough tickets, so like countless children...only desire and longing remained.

Putting her tickets away for now, the Lioness turned to find a drink stand.

"Akodo-sama!" Eriko would call out to the lone Lioness with her drink in an informal fashion. They were in an arcade and she was supposedly on vacation, after all.

[Hotaru Sakura]

"Oh," Mariko said in the realization that she was a local. Despite there being a lot of visitors to Winter Court and 'tourists' filling up the streets, locals weren't exactly extraordinary. She supposed she might have missed Sakura because she was a Hotaru and she couldn't recall dealing with too many of them. "I do hope you have some success this season. It does seem you're taking time to enjoy yourself, which is important when tensions can run high."

"Not at all," she shook her head at the concern with a small smile, especially when it was Mariko that put forward the idea. It did make her wonder if anyone was going to ask for her autograph. "The trouble, I mean. I'm hardly swamped at the moment and it seems you've caught me miraculously on my lonesome. You must be pretty lucky. Do you want me to sign somewhere...? Maybe on your communicator application?"

Oh, yes, Shosuro MD. After the cancellation of Medical Ops, Unit Go!, the studio did float the idea that perhaps her character from the same show could guest star on Shosuro MD as a reoccurring character to put both shows vaguely in the same universe. It was a quirky idea at first but soon became sideline when they figured they could write in a military medic character full-time rather than dragging out Mariko only once in a while. After season 5, she never showed up ever again. Probably best that Sakura didn't bring that show up.

"It really depends on the scenes. Medical dramas were pretty easy to work on, especially when many of them took place on the hospital sets that were shot in the studio. Action movies were a whole different matter, especially ones that had to be filmed on location. Illusions don't exactly have that same dramatic feeling and it's always better to do things with actual scenery." At least, that's what the directors drilled in her head. She never bought into it fully.

Sakura smiled and gladly offered her communicator for signing. "Arigatou then Bayushi-sama." Her tone was almost chirping." She smirked. "Bayushi-sama is a good actress, many didn't recognize her. I was just merely Fortunate." She glanced up at Mariko. "I will certainly do my best! I hope Bayushi-sama is also enjoying herself? Ah, I see, I see. I think I can see that...can I ask what was Bayushi-sama's favorite show to work on?"

"If someone has deep enough pockets and control enough over their schedule to casually hop from planet to planet for leisure, I would expect them to send a servant to queue all night in their stead honestly. You've really got that many merchant bosses, high rank officers and lords among your devoted fans?"

Kanna was doubtful. Any niche activity always appeared to have some suspiciously wealthy sponsors keeping it afloat. But emphasis on "a few" there.

"Hrm?" The Scorpion seems confused for a moment. "Yes, they can send a servant, indeed, but that's not my point. The fans of virtual sports enjoy the process of waiting, it's part of the attraction of gaming. Sacrifices of a sort. I'm merely comparing the crowd that follows motorsports and virtual sports to those that go to an... oshidama tournament." She says nothing about her own fans. This Kitsu seems like the typical reporter. They just want to make her say things she doesn't mean to or mean in general.

"I hope that I could help you more with your article, Kitsu san, but I'm only now starting my career in professional racing and I'm only a casual gamer. As for sports," she shrugs, "I only see them as a pass time. I'm no expert."

"Utaku-samaa is right, I've got tons of plushies back on Harusame. Lots from fans, but quite a few I bought myself."

But then the Soshi explained herself and Hinata actually noticed some of the sad and immediately attributed it to the extinct animal.

"Oh that's sad. There should be more plushies of them then, not less!"

Sumiko had watched the Firefly gush over the Scorpion with some amusement. She didn't understand why it mattered if the Scorpion woman was famous or not, but others seemed to.

Still, left without a partner to talk to she just sat by the entrance drinking her drink and seeing what else was going on.

[Bayushi Mariko]

Mariko would happily take Sakura's communicator to give her an autograph. If it was one of the more modern models, she would bring up a holographic window to sign with her finger (which she had enough practice with doing so). However, if it was an older model, she would hassle herself to fish out a stylus from her purse. It would be her 'stage signature', of course, written with bold strokes that line up the characters of her name in an artful fashion. 'To my lucky fan, Hotaru Sakura' (double-checking her spelling of her version of Sakura). was added in with a drawn face that had a half-smile with her fingers on both corners of her smile. "There you go, I hope you enjoy it."

"It's been a busy last few days but I do try to enjoy myself whenever I can, despite how my agents might feel about it," she said with a faint smile. "Medical Ops, Unit Go! with always be my favourite show. Regardless of how short the run was, it was always an opportunity that I hold dear to my heart. Nikutai Soshi Akane was a beloved character and in my headcanon, she's still travelling the galaxy and helping others however she can."

"Right? It's almost as if its passing was...."

Emotions held back again. A long breath.

"Almost as if... it could be just forgotten." She looks back. "Well... a plushie would not bring it back, of course..."

She seems to space out for a moment, as if remembering something.

"But if the rumours are true, and what Hotaru-san said...", she seems to mutter to herself. A wistful smile creeps into her face as well, but the sadness is slowly replaced by hope.

"Maybe... maybe it can be back and not forgotten, ne?", she then says to the Utaku and Asahina... perhaps somewhat mysteriously. "... still wouldn't bring Omoi-chan back, of course". Wistfulness creeps back into her smile, but the hope is still there. "But it would make her happy..."

The winner of the whole thing sipped his drink, wondering if his wife would rather enjoy a brand kimono or a deluxe photo shoot. And how the money can help budget new things for the household.

The Scorpion was a bit confused herself, for a moment, but probably just because of the Asahina's sudden burst of happiness. She goes along with it, though, and shaking her head to bury the sadness inside again, she focuses on the prize booth.

"I wonder what I could get with this... have you two decided already?" she asks, unaware of the ticket transaction that happened just before.

"Good evening Matsu-san, Matsu-san." She had to shake her head at the white paint on Eriko, not a Deathseeker, "Normally I would ask why you summoned me over still in the legionnaire mode you see, but this is supposed to be a fun night, eh? And I have to admit it was more amusement then I had expected."

Having been called out, Reki turned to see the married Lionesses. Making her way over she took a moment to look over the two.

"Good evening Matsu-san, Matsu-san." She had to shake her head at the white paint on Eriko, not a Deathseeker, "Normally I would ask why you summoned me over still in the legionnaire mode you see, but this is supposed to be a fun night, eh? Eriko smiled at Reki when she approached, giving her a quick bow once they were within speaking distance. "Hey, good evening! I'd like to think that we had a blast. We won quite a few bit of tickets together, tied even! There was some hope that I could make the big bucks and ace that dog-pilot game but my luck wasn't so great this time around. Aw, well. I'm glad you're having fun too. I hope we didn't interrupt you from..."

She paused for a moment to look in the direction she came from. If there was some sort of treatise writing going on, she doubted that she took her away from that. "Well, you looked like you were read to consider meditation or something. You looked like you could use the company! I was just talking to Hide-san and we have some tickets left over. Seeing as you're the ranking Lion between all of us, maybe you could make use of them?"

And remember this gift when I get in trouble..Some brownie points for later?

Hide gave the Akodo a polite bow before she looked to her wife with a slight tilt to her head. Eriko did seem to be less than comfortable with the Akodo. Maybe drinks one night can fix that right up. “Yeah, we got some spares if you would like some. It was like… 300 I think?”

She glanced around, hesitating before continuing. "I am sure Bayushi-sama is quite busy this season, but if she is free, there will be a party at the House of Storm in a couple of days I'd like to invite you to."

"The Oshidama tournament?" She said questioningly at first before she fully realized the one that Sakura was talking about. While she remembered the Yoritomo, her mind didn't really note the Minor Clan samurai who was her partner.

"Oh, yes, that's right. I was there for that. Very well done on your part, Hotaru-san." She put her hands together in a singular clap. "It's no big feat to defeat two celebrity opponents. You would think the weight of their presence alone would have been crushing enough, not to mention any of their rabid fans who might jump to their defence. Thankfully, they weren't so petty to send them in your direction. It was an earned victory. I didn't know there was going to be a party afterwards. What sort of theme? I'd like to get an idea, if I am to make an appearance. "
