Sakura nodded, and knowing the rules of the game, giggled once. "That is true. Sometimes, though, cats can be appeased. Either with some milk, or perhaps, some play?" She stepped slightly closer. "What would improve Neko-chan's mood?"

Unlike this nice-smelling ghost, Yesugen really didn't comprehend the night's purpose. It all seemed so direct, so lewd, all because of masks. Is that why the Scorpion do it? Perhaps that is the true lie...

Yesugen glanced around the room. She couldn't leave before she figured out more about Scorpion, well, lies. "I'm not sure my mood requires improvement, really. It is not as if I'm crying or shouting or... other things."

Her head tilted slightly to the side as well, showing a little bit of the pale skin on her neck between the high collar of her ao dai and her black hair. "Oh, I do agree. Closed and undisturbed studies are essential. If one knew where to be able to conduct such observations in peace, that is..."

"Perhaps the grandest of birds would join me for dinner tomorrow - or then day after that? I am sure I could make it worth your time." The pastel-clad feline asked, stepping closer again, his 'paw' brushing against her sleeve.

As Yamako tries to skillfully put down her champagne glass, far too proud of herself and trying to catch an interesting tidbit from someone further away, she misjudged the distance between the table and a nearby fountain and, tripping over a heel, nearly plunged her head into the fountain.

She would say curiously before leaning to whisper a few things in his ear, giving a quick rundown of a few notable costumes in the room to give him an idea of the other 'characters' present.

She did look a bit unsure and spoke to him with little theatrics behind her words now. "Hm, it might a bit past the beginning now. I get the sense that many here are already getting an idea of what may bloom in the near future. Perhaps now is the time to be a bit bolder in our approach? While we have a little cover with our personas. You might not get this sort of chance at a later time."

Reflexes and attention were often some of Tenma skills, though not always. Catching the other woman would be a difficult feat in and of itself, never mind veing in a dress and heels, or the spilled drink making the floor slippery, or wearing a mask that restricted her vision...

But she gave it an attempt as the shorter young woman tipped over the edge of the fountain.

Offering Yakumo a polite bow, the pastel clad lord of the cats took a few steps back, melding among the crowd, leaving the Susumu songstress wondering what she had gotten herself into.

Her own eyes were twinkling. The music was weird in its rhythm, typical Scorpion fanfare, anything to get you off balance. Still, she tried to move as best as she could, and not step on any toes.
