[D2, EN] One Last Round (Expecting)

[Kaiu Setsu]

As planned the other day, Setsu gets ready for one last round of drink with his old team mate now turned Imperial. Dressed in his usual suit, he makes sure to get a good table so they can enjoy some lounge music and a good view of the whole area as they drink and talk about the past and future.

[Miya Nishida]

Nishida finally arrived at the Golden Frog after a slightly longer walk after the sake tasting. He thought he had had enough sake for one evening, but he could not refuse his old teammate.

"Setsu-san, greetings," he greeted him and sat down at the table. Akechi and Himei stood not far from the two, probably not very enthusiastic about having to work a long shift today.

[Kaiu Setsu]

Not sure he should address an Imperial with an entourage by his chosen name, the Crab provides a polite bow and greets them back. "Miya-sama. Minna-san, please take a seat."

Moving to serve an extra dose to the Imperial, Setsu mentions while pouring, "I imagined some Crab sake would do good after the tasting prior. Correct the palate. How has the event treated Miya-sama?"

[Miya Nishida]

Nishida laughed. "Miya-sama, really? Looks like my old senpai has become quite polite."

Nishida accepted the sake, albeit hesitantly, his demeanor at the sake tasting not exactly regal.

"The scorpion stuff was pretty interesting, but nothing beats the stuff from home. It's good to meet a crab again" he said and stretched a little.

[Kaiu Setsu]

"Heh." He mentions, looking at the Imperial bodyguard. "Better safe than sorry. Glad you're still you."

With a grin, Setsu adds, "You made it to the top, eh! So fucking proud of you." The Crab looks to the Imperial bodyguard again and shrugs as if to apologize, "Any cool projects going on that I don't need to get burned after you tell me?"

[Miya Nishida]

Himei's facial expressions were hard to see under the mask, but she didn't look like she was interested. Akechi in turn smiled, the old man was probably also happy to be among crabs.

"I haven't had any real projects for a long time. The IRS has other focuses, especially in finding people to back their koku." he winked, "The last big thing I pulled off was selling a Spirit Furnance to the Phoenix."

He took a sip of the sake, "How about you? Still on the old project?"

[Kaiu Setsu]

He shakes his head negatively, "I wish. They have assigned me here to oversee the local manufacturers. I kind of snapped out on some of them for the lack of quality and HR reassigned me to the Embassy to chill out and meet people. The old project is still in the backburner, hoping for a glorious new chance to shine. I tell you, with the technology we have today, it would definitely be feasible."

Setsu takes a sip and comments, "I haven't seen many Phoenix samurai around, I confess."

[Miya Nishida]

"Heh, typical Hiruma HR, with a Yasuki or Kaiu it would be different" he laughed, "But hey, at least you have some vacation now, no? Make the best of it."

He looked around the room. "I've only seen a few, too. They're probably busy with some mystical hocus pocus again. After the miai on Asakaze, though, I've seen enough phoenixes for a while."

[Kaiu Setsu]

"I've been here a while. Good thing the Scorpions are good to look at the ones that aren't often wear masks." He laughs and raises the cup to cheer . "To vacations which are not actually vacations, then. Kampai!"

[Miya Nishida]

"Kamapai" he drank the sake and put his cup back on the table. The sharpness of the crab sake flowed down his throat and surprised him slightly, which became apparent by a breath between his teeth.

"It's been a while." He confessed, "I should probably stock up on a few bottles, it's hard to get it on the Imperial worlds."

[Kaiu Setsu]

"This is the second best thing about this place. It has virtually everything one wants. All the major trade routes converging here, after all." He mentions as the sake is refilled, "Which makes me wonder that if my old pal needs something specific, I might be able to help, somehow."

[Miya Nishida]

"I'm actually working on a robot right now, it was part of a Miai competition on Asakaze, which it won hands down." he picked up the newly filled sake glass and continued, "I want to improve the chassis and improve the code and the motors. The goal would be to maybe one day have a bot that can get close to a Heimin."

[Kaiu Setsu]

"That is a brilliant plan, and congratulations on the achievement." The Kaiu nods positively a couple of times, "Don't want to intrude, but fuck it, sounds cool. When can I see this robot?"

[Miya Nishida]

""If you have the time, tomorrow," he said, taking out his Densai. "Around afternoon is best?"

[Kaiu Setsu]

Setsu finishes his drink and clacks the cup at the table with a sounding confirmation. "I'll make it happen."

[Miya Nishida]

Nishida laughed, "You seem to be very motivated." He also put down his Glass, "Are you expecting insight for the old project?" he smirked.

[Kaiu Setsu]

"You know me." He laughs, "Artificial intelligence in a defense mechanism is definitely something useful. It could turn why rely just on skills and the machine can help you out."

[Miya Nishida]

"Well..." he started, rubbing the back of his head "Then I hope my bot doesn't disappoint you, it's not exactly a defensive platform."

[Kaiu Setsu]

“Which kind of setup have you made it for?” He asks, wondering what Nishida would say.

[Miya Nishida]

"On Asakaze it was tested under specific aspects, one being finding things, repairing technical equipment and serving samurai." he explained, "It doesn't have any defensive or offensive systems,.... not that you can upgrade, but at that time there was no opportunity, and well, you know the Phoenix, pacifist through and through. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't get parts there."
