"Well if that's what it's about..." Nsihida went a little quiet for a moment. A finger point to Akechi and Himei was all that betrayed that he noticed something that was different.

"You should keep in mind that I usually don't miss out on anything."

As he finished his sentence, Himei and Akechi simultaneously drew their weapons and pointed them at the spot from which Hato came.

"Better give up now, you wouldn't be the first person to try to kill me, whoever you are." said Nishida without turning away from Dai.

Hato raised her hands at the threat.

"This one is saddened to hear that there are those who would wish Lord Chrysanthemum ill and gladdened that he has survived all who would stand against him. This one does not stand against Lord Chrysanthemum, or bear him ill will. This one merely bears a package for Lord Chrysanthemum and did not wish to interrupt Lord Chrysanthemum's meeting to deliver it." she offered sincerely.

The fact that the ronin speaking business seems also unsurprised, though his hand slides back away from his gunbelt once the goons are dispatched, might make impromptu testimonial to the skills on offer.

With the weapons sheathed, Hato reached into her sleeve opposite of her gun and produced....

A simple piece of cloth, though the material was specifically meant for cleaning glasses.

"Lord Chrysanthemum left this on Lord Crab's tray at the festival yesterday. This one wished to return Lord Chrysanthemum's property to him, once this one could locate Lord Chrysanthemum." she said, offering the cloth forward.

Dai waits a moment for the other to present their 'package' and whatever Nishida's response may be before returning to talking business.

"The cost of the stone itself can depend on size, clarity, and what tries to eat the person retrieving it. But for first pass at the next specimen, without opening bidding to others, let us say seven koku... ten if you don't want any evidence of it being obtained since then the trip can't be used for a future show."

"This here is Dai-san, also a wave rider, like you. I myself am Miya Nishida. My guards are Akechi and Seppun Himei-san" The two yojimbo bow briefly.

Having already been threatened by the Imperial's guards, it seemed the ronin was inclined to execute the Imperial's command of 'briefly' in the most expedient way.

"Good, Hato-san." Nishdia nodded. "I understand you may be in business with an old acquaintance of mine, what talents do you bring?" he asked.

"Ah, this one was inquiring with Lord Crab about applying her talents in computer programming if he had an upcoming project that needed some temporary help. This one is relatively skilled as such." she admitted, hoping the answer was both brief enough while still providing enough information.

Dai quietly decides it's uncouth to try and one-up the other ronin into some sort of programming-off in front of a potential client... as tempting as it is.

Nishida memorized the number and gave Dai a look. "Would you like anything else from our sudden guest?"

Dai looks up, not quite deer in the headlights, "Ah, no, that's fine. I don't need anything in that regard."

"Well den Hato, it was an honor" he said, nodding slightly. "Should I need you, I will contact you."

Hato bows deeply to the Miya and his entourage, knowing a dismissal when she hears one, and not wanting to get 'escorted' by the trigger-happy guards.

"Of course, Lord Chrysanthemum. Carry the Fortunes."

A small bow for Dai as well, not enough to offend the Miya, but enough to be courteous.

Dai offers an acknowledging half-nod/half-bow in return.

Nishida took one deep breath in and out. "Forgive me, it's not always easy being Imperial. Where were we?" he asked, relaxing a bit.

[Dai]

Dai politely waves away the apology. Patience was good for business and letting important samurai decide their own proceedings was good for survival.

"Not a worry, Miya-sama, I believe you were deciding if you wished to finalize an arrangement?"

[Miya Nishida]

"Ah, right." he adjusted his glasses, "The interest is there in any case, Dai-san. Should you be able to procure such a stone, I am sure we can meet again."
Should you not die in Desolation, he thought to himself.
Nishida took out a card, which he handed to Dai.
"My Densai number, I don't gee it to everyone." he said, knowing that it was the best way to make the ronin understand that Nisihdia was really serious about the Glimmerstone business.
