[D2, LE] Tiger Robocop (Open)

[Kaiu Setsu]

An excited Setsu is found at the old arcade machines in the back of the arcade that the new kids perhaps didn't even know existed. Grunting and smashing down buttons, he curses his enemies at each new round.

His tyranny over the machine goes unbounded for an hour now. Will there be a new challenger?

[Susumu Sumiko]

Sumiko had gone wandering for the evening again after changing outfits from the gathering earlier, now in a white jacket over a black top and miniskirt, the mons of the Spider in black on the jacket. The noise had drawn her, sounding like something from decades ago, and seeing a large man beating the machine up pulled her the rest of the way.

"Are you winning?" the small girl asked, looking up at the man from his side with a smile.

[Kaiu Setsu]

"I am beating the shit out of these dudes." Setsu says, laughing manically, and eyes fixed at the screen. He's actually getting beaten up as soon as Sumiko appeared. Pressure from the observation, perhaps.

Will she join up and challenge him so Setsu is saved from potential defeat, or will she wait until fate takes it course in the current battle?

[Susumu Sumiko]

Sumiko looked to the screen, a curious expression.

I think he's losing, pretty badly...

She moved a little closer, and quietly said "that would make me the final boss then. Are you ready to lose?"

[Kaiu Setsu]

"Sure, kiddo." Says the Crab in his innocent way, which could be potentially interpreted as patronizing by the hateful youth. "Let's how final and bossy that statement really is."

[Susumu Sumiko]

"You owe me ice cream if I win then" Sumiko replied with a laugh, being used to being called a kid with her very small size.

Being the final boss, it was obvious which character she would choose

[Kaiu Setsu]

"So you picked that dude." Says Setsu while slowly glancing towards the small Spider. "Let us see who owns ice cream to whom."

[Susumu Sumiko]

"Well, it was only fitting" Sumiko said with a grin as she focused on the game. A game she didn't really know except it was apparently a classic from before she was even born, and likely before her parents were even married.

She did her best, but her best was sadly not good enough.

[Kaiu Setsu]

"It was an honor." He bows to Sumiko and resumes his next round, which he surprisingly does much better. Until, of course, he gets to the next fight, with Boss #2. and gets a whooping defeat.

Turing back to the Spider, he mentions, "Well you gave me second breath but it wasn't enough. That boss is really tricky. Maybe next time."

[Susumu Sumiko]

Sumiko remained close, quietly cheering the man on until he met his match.

"That boss did look difficult, but you almost had it. Really good job, I can see I was no match" she bowed to the man "next time you'll get it for sure! I didn't know this game still existed though."

[Kaiu Setsu]

Getting flattered makes an odd smirk to creep up his face. He leans over the machine while looking at the game, as to show a modesty that wasn't really there –– about how proud he is of his skills. "Well, you did manage to put a challenge. But yeah, it was pretty tough afterwards. Next time there'll be no chance."

With his attention back on the Spider, he says, "I came across this game some months ago while the team came here to blow some steam after a very important delivery. I was really amazed this still worked out. Talking about games, which kind of games you enjoy?"

[Susumu Sumiko]

"It's a very old game, I didn't know they still had it anywhere. Me however? Hmm....I've never really played games, always been too busy. I did intend to try and learn Go, or perhaps Fantasy Flight as it looked really interesting.... Ah, my apology" she bowed "I'm Susumu Sumiko. It's lovely to meet you!"

[Kaiu Setsu]

"I get the felling. Too busy working until you are in a burnout from too much stress and then you either go wild partying up, devouring ice cream or... well... get into the arcade, in my case. You gotta have a way to exteriorize the tension, right?"

He chuckles and provides another bow, "Kaiu Setsu. Nice to meet you to."

[Susumu Sumiko]

"Does it count if you enjoy your work?" Sumiko giggled "however hai, it has been a busy day. It was nice to relax and play a decades old video game, even if it cost me ice cream. Still, it kind of makes me want one as well so shall we go look? Or does another game catch Kaiu-samas eyes?" she looked up at the taller man.

[Kaiu Setsu]

“I love my work. So much I get really angry when things don’t go as planned.” He laughs a bit, explaining, “And that lead me to, well, get HR to talk with me to check how I could reassign some tasks.”

Setsu scans the place after the question, “Nope. No catch. I also can’t eat ice cream. Lactosis intolerant and diet. A coffee would be good.”

[Susumu Sumiko]

There was a chuckle.

"We are alike on that it seems Kaiu-sama, although less so on the ice cream side. I'll buy you a coffee, I'm curious on your line of work if you'll entertain the questions of a curious young women in trade for her company?"

[Kaiu Setsu]

"My line of work. Well." He touches a finger on his chest and then says in a mockingly menacing way, "Some of the things I can say, but I would have to kill you later."

A chuckle, and he starts walking toward the counter, "Kill you out of boredom, maybe."

[Susumu Sumiko]

"I'm a librarian and a historian Kaiu-sama, if you think you can bore me you'd be talking to the wrong person" Sumiko grinned, falling into step with the taller man as they walked "how do you take your coffee?"

[Kaiu Setsu]

“In a cup.” He replies with a ridiculous grin.

After a moment, noticing his dad joke wasn’t that good, he replies, “Erm. No sugar. Dark. Espresso double shot.”

[Susumu Sumiko]

There was a polite chuckle at the terrible joke.

"Coming right up" Sumiko smiled, ordering a vanilla milkshake for herself and a very black coffee that smelt strong enough to wake the dead for Setsu.

"You know, going back even less than a thousand years asking for coffee would have made you look either crazy or extremely dishonourable."
