(D1, LA) Meeting New Friends

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata looked blankly at the Fox.

"I dunno. Do Scorpions like deserts? The primer I got on here said it was fully worldshaped how they liked it."

He returned to looking at the lizard.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"We saw lizards like this when we filmed The Danger of the Desert Devil, but they didn't have the crest." he shrugged. "I always liked location shoots with wildlife."

The Detective chattered at the Fox.

"With more wildlife, I mean."

[Asahina Hinata]

"Desert Devil? Sounds scary."

He was still looking at the Monitor, wondering if it had any tricks or surprises it could do, or if being brown and having a shiny crest was it.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"It was a bandit dressed as a demonic cactus trying to convince the headman of a village that he had been cursed." he explained. "I can't remember why. I think it had something to do with the headman's daughter."

[Thimacek]

For its part, the lizard didn't seem particularly interested in showing tricks. It did seem interested in Hinata, though, its unblinking eyes still staring at his.

If they kept paying attention, they'd see that the crest seemed to swerve and "look" in another direction, though. Kiyoshi? Not quite. The Detective, maybe?

The lizard's tongue flickered out a few times. It made a clicking noise, suddenly jerked some more inches forward in its rock, stopped again.

The eyes, though, kept unflinching and staring.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"It really likes you, Asahina-sama."

Kiyoshi was curious about the monitor's behavior. He could understand being a fan of the Crane, but most animals didn't fawn over idols, not in his experience. Animals generally liked him, but he couldn't remember any staring at him like this.

[Asahina Hinata]

"Err I'm kinda getting the vibe from one of _those_ fans here now. You know . . . the ones that wait after a concert and say no one else is as big a fan as they are . . . "

He took a step back, still monitoring the monitor.

[Thimacek]

The monitor takes a step forward, almost as if mirroring the Crane. Its tongue flickers again, one, two, three times. Hinata and Kiyoshi may just now hear a fly that was buzzing by. It settles on a rock some feet away from the monitor. The lizard's eyes still focus on the Idol... the crest-fan turns around. Tongue flickers again. The fly gets suspicious, takes a few side steps, tries to take off.

A very quick flicker of the monitor's tongue, and that's the last you hear of it.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Yeah. The kind that talks about the show as if it was real." he nodded. "Perhaps we should move on."

[Thimacek]

It's almost as if the critter heard Kiyoshi's words. Its meal guaranteed, it quickly scurries into a crevice in the rock, its eyes now finally leaving the Asahina and apparently scanning the area around it.

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh ick. It ate that fly! Grossssssssssss!!"

He backed up some more, but the potential of something cute and fluffy ahead soon dismissed all memories of fly eating lizards.

"Yeah, those are the bad fans. Yuta-kun usually keeps them away from me, but he's not here."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"I'm sure you've had to deal with them more than I have, but I think the Detective and I can distract any that might be here." he offered.

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh it's been Ok here so far. Not everyone knows who I am and the Scorpion have a lot of their own famous people around that the locals would much rather admire."

He looked ahead.

"I hope there's something furry in the next enclosure!"

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"True. It's easier to hide here." he agreed. "I think the pangolin may be ahead."

[Asahina Hinata]

"Pangolin???"

He blinked, looking rather excited.

"What's one of those? Is it furry and adorable?"

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"I dont think so." he shook his head. "The plushie looked like it had scales."

[Asahina Hinata]

"Awww hope it isn't another brown lizard that eats flies then."

He seemed quite disappointed that pangolins were not furry.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Rainbow Pangolin." he read the sign as they approached. "It should be colorful, at least. And, I'm sure there must be something furry here somewhere. A fox or wolf, maybe."

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh Foxies are cuuuuuuteeeeee!!!!!"

Still that would be the future, the present concerned a rainbow pangolin.

"Uh, is this another burrower? I much prefer the ones that aren't in holes in the ground."

Don't tell him foxes dig holes in the ground.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"I'm not sure." he admitted. "Hopefully not. If it's rainbow colored I wouldn't expect it to spend much time below ground. I do wonder what other animals they have here. I always look for monkeys or apes."
