"Oh dear, and I thought the Scorpion were meant to be trouble? I suppose they can both share."
She salutes with her cup and then drink, nodding.

"Eriko-sama is certainly...outgoing. I would not have picked her for a Lion. And her wife, Hide-sama. She seems to have a ferocious intellect and is a first rate tactician. What's your read on her?"

"Well, Kuni usually only shows up when something bad happens. Their reputation as witch and taint hunters is no mere coincidence." he said an nodded, "Hida-san seems to be an excellent tacticain, this reputation begun with her leading the operations for Erikos-sans retriveal of her relicts on Asakaze. I'm sure that her strategic and tactical prowess will soon be recognized among the lion"

He looked up in the skies.

"Or the lion is going to waste her on the field of battle, you never know what the Pride is doing"

"That makes sense. It's weird to think I might know a future chuhai. And she's so modest as well, you'd never know she was a mastermind until you see her in action. I'm sure Akodo-no-kami would be be very proud."
She follows Nishida's gaze

"I suppose that might just happen too. She gets roped into a suicidal frontal charge. Wouldn't be the first."
Clearing her head
"So what's next for Miya-sama? On planet for a few more weeks, and then?"

"After the raid here, I'm going to visit Miyada, set up my residence, and take a look at the country and its potential. After that? Probably bring the first children into the world, visit my parents and figure out what the future of our house will look like. Maybe my sister will take over YamdaCorp, maybe one of my cousins? And after that? Probably do my duty at the IRS."

"Have you settled on a name yet? Maybe after your family, or your husband's?"

"The children will definitely have the Miya name, however, as I mentioned before, one is promised to my old house. If my sister takes over the company, one of her children will probably marry one of my children and their children will probably also go one to the Miya and one to the Yasuki. Diplomatic marriages, pure pedigrees," he explained.

He grabbed another rice cracker and watched Yurei, technically she should know how it goes with families with 'pure' pedigrees, but some were offended by it from time to time.

Seeing her stack of rice crackers depleting, she can't help but snatch up another one herself.

"It is a problem I am not worthy enough to concern myself about, who would want to marry someone without a family name? But I imagine it must have narrowed your own marriage prospects, finding someone suitable?"

he brought a hand to his chin and nodded,
"Maybe Kiku-chan from the House of Black Carp."
he murmured, shaking his head,
"As for you," his gaze traveled up and down Yurei, "Some would have you just for your,... qualities. Perhaps you will be invited to a miai as well? And now that you are a ronin powerhouse, others will express interest in you, for worse or ill. Under normal circumstances..."

he took a sip of tea,
"you would be very lucky to marry a clan samurai. Most likely you would marry another ronin, or, kami forbid, a heimin."
