"No stabbing anyone here publicly, anyway. Public stabbings tend to be way more complicated than private ones...but I'm sure I can ask some questions and figure out what's going on with who. Probably go for someone a bit less rough around the edges, more refined...they tend to roll over the easiest in a dark alley."

"Hey, you gotta qualify for our, uh, meat grinder." Seika winces slightly at that turn of phrase. "Our navy has the best ships in the Empire, you know? Can't just grab anybody off the street to crew those. But, like, if you want to do that you could, probably. I don't think anybody's gonna make you. We're not the Spider."

As for the details of his local work... she waves that off with a hasty flourish of her chopsticks. "It's better if I don't know any of that stuff, right? I am, like, really bad at lying about things if people ask me straight up, for one thing."
