[D9 ME] Playing Around

[Soshi Kazumi]

Kazumi pulled up to Yurei's place parking their motorcycle. After a few, not so mildly flirty, texts were exchanged Kazumi planned to pick Yurie up for their date.

Kazumi was in a slightly stepped up version of their usual look with a black button down shirt and pants under their leather jacket. Kazumi walked up to her place and knocked on her door hands in their pockets while they waited.

There was maybe a touch more nerves than usual, a small fluttering in their stomach that they usually didn't get. Kazumi shook their head gently dispelling the nerves.

[Yūrei]

Yūrei sticks her out of her room's tiny window
"Hey Kazumi-sama! I'll be right down!"
The head withdraws briefly and then there's the sound of a door closing and someone running down old and battered wooden stairs before the front door is fairly wrenched open.

Trying to look casual, leaning against the door frame with a loose strand of hair falling down her face.
"I mean, uh. Hey, you. Fancy seeing you here."

The ronin wears a pair of flowing black silk pants and a vibrant red blouse, both far nicer than her usual clothes. Her own throat felt a little dry and her smile was maybe a touch nervous. But hey, this was Kazumi, right? No need to be anxious.

[Soshi Kazumi]

The nerves were fairly quelled upon seeing Yurei. The smile could be seen in their eyes as she opens the door and leans against the frame. Kazumi reaches out and gently tucks the wayward strand behind her ear

"Well hey yourself." Kazumi gave her an appraising look up and down "Well hot damn Yurei-san that's a new outfit. It suits you." They say, their gaze lingering on her a moment before motioning back with their head "ready to get out of here?"

[Yūrei]

Snip's a new outfit. It suits you." They say, their gaze lingering on her a moment before motioning back with their head "ready to get out of here?"

She grins, jamming her hands into her pants pockets
"It has pockets! Ide-sama bought it for me as an investment in my future." Looking a little embarrassed "Umm, a client who's been very kind. And has good taste I think."

Yūrei runs an approving eye over Kazumi's outfit in return with a smirk before nodding.
"Let's get out of here. I haven't ridden a motorcycle in aaaages."

[Soshi Kazumi]

The display drew a quick exhalation out their nose "it is nice when an outfit has pockets. I'll never understand why women's clothes seem to assume you'll never need to carry anything." It had been an annoyance with some of the dresses Kazumi had bought so they fully understood the elation of having pockets handy.

"Well luckily it's easy to do just hold on and lean where I lean." They said smirking behind the mask catching her look.

Kazumi walked to the bike it was black and red sporty model with some red lights running through the body that were becoming more visible in the waning light. Kazumi mounted the bike gracefully and scooted forward to give her room to slide in behind while offering her a hand of stability.

[Yūrei]

"I know, right? Can't a woman just carry a knife on her without it being a big deal?"
With a little flick of her head she accepts Kazumi's hand and straddles the bike behind them, looking impressed.

"You know, I think this is one of the fast ones. There's another scorpion I should introduce you to, she's big on bikes and speed and everything that coms with it."
Wrapping an arm around Kazumi's waist.
"If I fall off I'll try and land on my butt."

Kazumi also passed her back a helmet as they took off their mask, securing it in a bag before placing their own helmet on "It is one of the fast ones." Their voice only a little raised to come through the helmet.

They start up the bike with a kick as the engine growls to life, fire kami agitating to get the engine running "Maybe hold on with both arms, I rather not see harm come to your butt!" They said near shouting over the engine. When she was settled in Kazumi would take off quickly building up speed.

The benefit of the motorcycle being able to weave in and out of traffic and even zipping between cars if there was enough space. Kazumi drove fast but not irresponsibly or dangerously so but what was the point of a motorcycle without a bit of speed?

They were stopped at a light and Kazumi looked over their shoulder "how you doing back there?" They shouted one hand coming to squeeze hers around their waist.

[Yūrei]

Yūrei's eyes are wide behind the helmet and her hold has translated to a death grip. It takes a few seconds for the question to reach her.

"Uh, I'm good! I think! You know, these are a lot faster when you're on them."
She relaxes slightly at Kazumi's squeeze and takes a deep breath.

"It's got my blood pumping though. You definitely know how to get a girl excited. That bit when we that guy opened his door and you just calmly swerved aroud him, that was pretty cool! Terrifying but cool!"

[Soshi Kazumi]

Kazumi chuckled "Hey trust me, I got you!" They somewhat shouted over the din of traffic and gave her hand another squeeze before the light changed.

The second part of the trip was much like the first a little weaving here and there but they casually cruised to parking near the Blue Moon. Kicking the stand down and removing their helmet "Well got you here in one piece." They said with a happy amusement as they turned the engine off.

[Yūrei]

She sighs and rests her head against Kazumi's shoulder for a moment.

"That you did. I think all my pieces are still here."
A little wobbly, Yūrei swings a leg off the bike and stands, stretching everything out.
"And I'll admit, that was pretty fun, guess you wouldn't be the type to drive an old sedan."
She takes her helmet off and shakes her hair for a moment before getting it back into shape.

[Soshi Kazumi]

Kazumi took off their helmet and replaced their mask. Standing they pushed a hand through their hair to give a little volume from being flattened.

Then they looked over Yurei a couple times "yeah I'd say everything is where it should be. Looking as good as always." Kazumi winked.

They motioned toward the stairs to the arcade and started heading that way "but yeah she gets me where I need to go. A lot of Advantages to a bike in a city like this. Some downsides but not too many."

[Yūrei]

"Just so long as my look doesn't scream 'ronin terrified of falling off bike' "
She winks back and follows Kazumi to the stairs

"Easy to get around, easy to park, not too expensive. I can see the attraction. Have you ever fallen off? You'll note I ask this after we've arrived."
The sound from inside the Blue Moon hits them like a truck as they enter, the loud beeping and chinking of machines, excited conversations, money changing hands and a busy bar, all lit by pink and blue lights.

[Soshi Kazumi]

The sound wasn't their favorite thing but the bright lights and flashy displays were a vine they could appreciate in the right mood.

"Nah I'd say you got a really cute sexy ronin look going on." Kazumi said "but yeah I've taken a few spills here and there, few people are just born knowing how to ride. Though I hear some Moto claim such things." Kazumi chuckled.

He took her hand before moving deeper into the arcade "Come on let's find something to do. Been here before? Have any favorites?"

[Yūrei]

Snip

She grins, letting them leader her through the crowd and into the arcade proper.
"Oh yeah, I love this place! Usually I'd just watch though, you know how it is on a ronin income."
Her grip tightening slightly in excitement.

"But there's that two player dance game? Dragon Dragon Remembrance? Where you have to follow the tattooed monk rhythms. Or the shooting cabinets"

"I'm pretty good at those. I'll enjoy pretty much anything thing here so long as it's winning with your...or beating you."

[Soshi Kazumi]

Kazumi looked to her with a smile in their eyes and chuckled a bit "Well maybe you should be leading me around then if youre more the expert here." They teased a little but had no trouble being decisive on the right situations.

"Let's see what your body can do. Dancing that is!" Their tone was playful as Kazumi walked toward the dancing game with Yurei stopping in front of it they released her hand to start fiddling with game "hmmmm let's seeeeee, any songs in here that don't suck" Kazumi flipped through the catalogue of dances "aha! This one's not terrible." They said hitting a button and then waiting for Yurei to hop on her platform.

[Yūrei]

"I do know the best way to sneak into the kitchens when it's closing time."
Looking them up and down
"You might be able to squeeze in there with me. But for now-" She leaps up on the platform and dances a few quick steps to test the machine "-It's time for you to put your money where your mask is."

She holds out a hand for Kazumi to join her as the upbeat dance number begins playing.

Kazumi laughed a little "hey anywhere you can go I can figure out too!"

Then they took her hand and started moving along with the song. It was faster and therefore inherently a little more difficult but it wasn't expert or anything. Kazumi as always when it came to dancing relied more on feel and natural Agility more than skill when it came to dancing. They were alright at matching the moves on the screen pretty well.

[Yūrei]

"Ah huh, I'd kill for your figure!"
Yūrei gets right into it, rapidly hitting the different squares as the fast song starts.
"Not bad Kazumi-kun, not bad at all!" She jumps and spins, hitting two points on different sides of the platform with a whoop
"Okay, now it's gonna get tricky, you ready?"

[Soshi Kazumi]

Kazumibwas breaking the lightest touch of a sweat discarding their jacket over the nearest surface and rolling up their sleeves they got down to it

"Let's get it Rei-chan!" They said with some energy as the game picked up to the finale of the song requiring more coordination and more energetic moves. Kazumi surely didn't do perfectly but they gave it their all

[Yūrei]

Snip

The two jump, swap places, rapidly hit several of the flashing panels and finally Yūrei yells
"Grab my legs!" Before launching into a handstand and rapidly whacking the final sequences with her palms as the beat crescendos and then fades away. The screen lights up with a happy jingle of 'high score!'

A little muffled from below them
"Yeah! That's how we roll! Was that cheating? I don't think that counts, this is definitely allowed."
