[D8 LM] Walk among the woods

[Hotaru Sakura]

"Yeah, I guess it kinda is."
She takes Sakura's hand, to affirm this.

"Fun and romantic, and not eating." Not eating??!?!
"We got tonnes of options, clubbing, sneaking somewhere with a view...water-skiing? Water-skiing seems to be in these days."

"Water-skiing? Hm..."she pictured the apir of them, wet in their wetsuits. "I'd be up for that. Not sure if I'l lhave time during courtt. Maybe after. Or who knows." She held on to Yurei's hand for dear life.

"Clubbin is also nice, though I am partying a lot lately. All work though, sadly."

[Yūrei]

Yūrei keeps a hold of Sakura even as the two weave in and out of the crowd, a smile on her face as the two have more than enough agility to dodge, dip, duck dive and dodge.

"Work partying doesn't count. That's work, even if it's a stupid sex party. You're making sure to get proper rest in though, right? And all those square meals?"

"Hm...but I get to dress up all pretty and stuff." She pouted, then leaned in after dodging a couple of kids, hoping to place a peck on Yurei's cute face. "Yes mother. Sleep and eat all I can!" She nodded enthusiastically. "So, what that means is we should have a non-work party sometime? Maybe at our old place? We can accommodate even 2 more people! IF we don't dance. Or breathe."

She gently guides Sakura around an elderly couple who seemed determined to walk right down the middle of the path

"And I'm the older one, so it's my job to make sure you sleep and eat, and brush your teeth! Better be doing that too babe."

"Sounds good...maybe at the Wasp, I guess? Or just stick to drinking somewhere?"

She glances up to see a high ranking scorpion and entourage making their way down the path and leads Sakura aside
"Wasp is easy, everyone knows it and a Wasp party is a classy party. Pretty sure I can find my way home from there no matter what state I'm in."

"And you have, found home in all stated. I witnessed most of them."

She smiled, and winced as someone stamped on her foot.

"Maybe a nice, low key party. The concert was great, but you know. Very intense."

Yūrei squees loudly enough to draw looks from passing samurai.

"And I actually met Hinata-sama too. He's actually the nicest guy, loves chicken as much as I do."

"True...so, I am sleeping over for suuure, just to see it. I'm sure he'll let you use it if you want! He's such a generous soul!"

She nodded enthusiastically. "I don't think it would be a problem! Maybe take some snacks to him in return? He's very kind and helpful! And has good taste in men."

[Asahina Hinata]

A majestic red crowned crane flew down to the pair and alighted fairly awkwardly on Yurei's shoulder. Hinata's voice issued from the beak, thankfully quietly.

"Wow, you're a handsome one aren't you!! Oh yeah . . . Yurei-sannnnnnn!!! I totally left a Nousagi stuffy at the Embassy reception for you. All signed and everything. He's in his drop trooper outfit and he even has a stuffy lil radiant rifle. So cute but I've got loads so I hope you like him and you can pick him up whenever you like. If I'm in you can come up and chat as well and . . . hey don't fly off, I'm not fin . . . . . . "

The bird then dispersed into sparkly motes on the air that drifted off.

She leans back and gently bumps Sakura's shoulder

"Snacks are a great idea! I'll scrounge up some of the good stuff from the local stalls. Might actually have to be a lot though, he has hollow legs too. I wonder how he's-"

Her eyes nearly jump out of her skull as a Crane lands on her shoulder
"What the F-"
And then it started talking, the ronin looked like she was about to have a heart attack until she recognises Hinata's voice

"Oh thank you Asa-"
And the bird disappears

"Did-"She looks back at Sakura "Did that just happen?"

"Either we both tried the same drugs, or Asahina-sama...did his magic."

Oh, she was proud of him.

"Might be worth shooting him a text to let him know you got his bird. Message. Birdmail? You get it. As for snacks...sure, we can check it out. You're not the only local gal after all, you know." She poked at Yurei's nose.

"Aaaand sent. He's so nice, not sure how I feel about the bird. But he is very nice."
With a sigh and a last type she fires off her reply.

"This is nice, you know. It feels like old times, but now we get to hold hands."

Yurei might've forgotten but Sakura is not too shy of PDA. Of course, it was different when she could make fun of it from the outside.
