[D7 EE] Sole Survivor Battle Royale Tournament Spectators!

[Susumu Yakumo]

Among the spectators for the Sole Survivor Tournament was the Spider primadonna, dressed for business and cheering on the contestants.

While she was there to support any Spiders, Yakumo was keeping her idol image on as she was more or less giving cheers for everyone and enjoying the physical challenges on display!

[Asahina Hinata]

There was fun happening, so of course Hinata was there having it. Fun that is.

The Embassy hadn't let him enter this event, saying something about it being dangerous for his image and he had an important party to attend later, but he couldn't help wishing he was part of the real fun happening in the Survivor zone. In the blue trimmed white sailor suit he'd chosen for the day still, he was conspicuous by the actual lack of any food items in his hands for once.

He bounced alongside Yakumo and cheered loudly at Tengoku knows what happening down below.

"Oh wow, look at Mariko-san go!" there was some sarcasm in her tone, as she didn't think too highly of the actress, but luckily Hinata was too oblivious to catch on to it.

As other contestants began to file in, she waved a little flag with the logo of the tournament to cheer them on.

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata spent a great deal of his life in very close proximity to three graduates of the Kakita Academy. He was so used to sass being directed at other performers that he did not notice it anymore. Not that he would have understood much of it anyway.

"Oh it's Hotaru-samaaa next! Go go go!"

He then looked puzzled as Sakura took a different route to Mariko.

"Oh . . . they don't follow each other?"

Yakumo waved the flag to cheer on Sakura...

.... And then was equally confused by the fact that there seemed to be different options. "Uhh... hmmm..." was there a program she could check maybe, to pretend she knew what was going on.

"I suppose, uh, it's some kind of tactical choice?"

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh."

He watched some more cheering Sakura on.

"So it's not an obstacle course then?"

[Susumu Yakumo]

"Obstacle course?" Yakumo blinked. "I thought it was going to be like Nightfall Yamabushi... oh right, that never aired outside Spider territories."

Made sense that other clans wouldn't pick up on the violent obstacle-course show.

[Hotaru Sakura]

Sakura huffed as she exited the contests, after being scored out. She was fairly sweaty in her more leisure clothes, but was happy nonetheless.

She spotted two of the idols at court (so many idols at court), and bowed deeply.

"Hello, minna-sama!" She greeted with a smile.

And for now, didn't go closer.

Two celebrities here, and I'm all sweaty.

[Asahina Hinata]

"Hotaru-samaaaaa!!! You were great!"

He did not understand the scoring, so probably did not realise she'd been knocked out.

[Susumu Yakumo]

Yakumo was likewise a ditz on the scoring. "A good showing Hotaru-san," she clapped excitedly for Sakura as she joined the spectator's area. "Care for some popcorn?"

[Hotaru Sakura]

"Oooooooooh."

While not quite as a food junkie as her ghostly friend, Sakura was not opposed to free food. Especially from the hands of AN IDOL.

"Arigatou, although I would hesitate to call it a good one. Bayushi-sama had my number." She smiled, and had an internal debate whether wiping the sweat off her forehead would be a bigger faux pas, or leaving it there.

"Are you enjoying the game?"

Hinata only managed to catch the very end of Yurei's run, distracted as he was, but he didn't miss the obviously face painted figure soon after.

"Oh, there's Kuni-samaaa!"

[Yoritomo Seika]

"Jun? You're here? Holy shit, what? Since when?"

"Bloop-bloop-bloop. Contestant Thirteen, you have been eliminated. Contestant Thirteen, please leave the tournament arena. Bloop-bloop-bloop..." a tinny automated voice squeaks from her target vest, falling on deaf ears.

Seika is herded out of the battle royale arena, her facial expression the human equivalent of a computer terminal in need of a hard reset.

Yakumo cheered for Yurei... and for the Crab of course. She was so kind to her fans even if they were from rival clans.

"I think we're trying to figure out the rules of the game as we're watching, Hotaru-san. Maybe you could enlighten us?"

[Hotaru Sakura]

Sakura cheered Yurei on. "Go, Yu-chan! Show them!" She waved wildly.

When Seika stepped off, Sakura waved to her as well. "Great showing Yoritomo-samaa!" It probably fell on deaf ears.

"Ah, Susumu-sama, of course! This game is sheer elegance in its simplicity. You see, there are 6 zones in the area, and the goal is to be the last one in the game. Temporarily teaming up is encouraged, but teams cannot win, only individuals. Therefore, there is a lot of duplicity going on, even between friends. Yurei-chan and me didn't speak for a month after we betrayed each other and lost a couple of years ago. It's very ruthless, but also very, very fun."

She took a short breath, and kept going. "People hide and fight and run in the different zones, trying to use the environment for hteir advantage." The environment being cheap illusions and padded rooms. "It's a highly complex tactical game that many a soldier have used to hone their skills."

She finished in a serious manner.

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata was lost by 'simplicity' as it obviously wasn't to him. The rest of Sakura's explanation was replaced by a sudden playing of the Inu Tai ope credits in his head.

[Susumu Yakumo]

Yakumo put in a bit more effort into understanding, but it didn't sound quite as simple to her. But she was kind of understanding that it was a game of duplicity and treachery.

How very Scorpion.

"Hmmm I see..." she said nodding, pretending to understand it all. "Good that you two made up afterwards then!"

[Hotaru Sakura]

Sakura nodded happily. "Hai! It took some convincing, but after the second helping of Unicorn curry, we were back to normal."

She did recall the other events that followed the curry that weekend, but she is NOT bringing that up in polite company.

"It seems like a close competition this month."

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata finally noticed the BSOD Yoritomo.

Jun hadn't been eliminated long after Seika, and the short Hotaru was ejected a short time after her.

He had heard a familar voice call hsi name though, and once he sit the speectator floor he went looking for a certain small mantis. Not that he knew what he was goign to say which was pretty obvious when he found here and proceeded to just stare.
