Next attempt. The character can keep helping you later, of course, but it wouldn't make sense for the help to continue while Sakura decides to jump down the shaft for instance!

I'll post on that soon, but it can help! The elevator didn't seem to be in perfect working order though, so expect you'll still have to fiddle with it a bit.

Sure will! You can climb down relatively effortlessly if you want to, really. Will take you 3 Time Steps.

I could try to go with Kiyoshi so he's not alone - but it's only slightly better than a 1 in 3 chance even with popping a void.

Not a fan of splitting the party, especially with one decent bushi and only shuggie going one way

I assume we either keycard it or hack it? Going to leave that up to Dai/Sumiko to make adecision, imo, as we'd probably prefer a working elevator to going downwards.

If people want to help Sakura keep her crappy smartphone working, I won't complain, but feel free to spend your stuff doing other stuff.

I guess Soshi Ohana worked here. With the ID card in hand, you can use it on a panel besides the elevator, close to the jack. While you'll quickly find out this doesn't make the elevator work automatically as it probably did when the lab was active, doing this and accessing the network shows you are granted some user privileges. Trying to reactivate the elevator using these privileges needs 1 Time Steps and a Use Computer (Programming)/ Intelligence check vs TN 20, as you try to jam things into working again. Calling Raises here also helps ensure the Elevator is working properly.

I mean it looks like both hacking and ID card do the same with ID card being quicker and easier.
