He was doing his best to cover the cracks and contain the liquid.

Two or three minutes later, Kioku has two new vials with some culture medium in it. It has some smears, considering she's still bleeding, but it should be enough for the Olms.

Hey, maybe they'd even like the extra nutrient...

"Here, Kitsune-san!", she says as she moves as fast as she can despite her limping to bring Kiyoshi the new vials. "Right... let's move them. I can have a look at them and see that any damage to them can be healed after they're safe."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"And, let me heal your wounds, Soshi-sama." he added as they transfered the olm. "You need to be healthy, too, for Omoi-chan."

[Soshi Kioku]

Immediate danger over. Non-immediate?

"Soshi-sama, Kitsune-sama, are the realms stabilized or should we worry about more creatures showing up?"

After the gilled larvae are properly settled again, Kioku turns to Kanna and bows to her again. "Kitsu-san... I may be able to create a memorial, after all. A very particular one", she says with a warm smile. "And... seen by eyes I thought I'd never see again, too", she adds, looking warmly at Omoi.

"They'll be ok, Omoi-chan. They'll grow and play here. I promise"

"And, let me heal your wounds, Soshi-sama." he added as they transfered the olm. "You need to be healthy, too, for Omoi-chan."

She then nods thankfully at Kiyoshi. "Thank you for this, Kitsune-san. I... I could normally treat myself, but this whole situation... it made it so hard to think..."

[Soshi Kazumi]

Kazumi looked over their shoulder and nodded shrugging and sliding their communicator back into their pocket. The Kitsune and Soshi scrambled to the samples and Kazumi watched before heading to the downed ronin

"You're one crazy wolf, brave for sure, but crazy all the same." Kazumi said as they approached hands going into pockets, their tone was light and amused.

[Dai]

Dai shakes his head a little in commiseration, "Not sure I'd disagree, Soshi-sama. I'm used to running like hell not going toe to toe like that. But I couldn't let them destroy the chance of bringing back what was lost or hurting the innocents."

Another soft smile through the pain, "I am very glad to hear that. As long as the computers keep running it should keep going."

The girl smiles warmly at the Ronin again "Oh, that's great, Dai-san!" She stops and thinks for a while. "I... may not need it myself for a long anymore, though. This..." she gestures at her mother and the vials with the creatures. "I've gained so much! I... don't even feel that craving anymore, you know!, she adds, happily.

She seems thoughtful again.

"Although maybe.... Maybe Dai-san can help some of the others there too? They might have good memories that could help their cravings too!

[Dai]

The girl smiles warmly at the Ronin again "Oh, that's great, Dai-san!" She stops and thinks for a while. "I... may not need it myself for a long anymore, though. This..." she gestures at her mother and the vials with the creatures. "I've gained so much! I... don't even feel that craving anymore, you know!, she adds, happily.

She seems thoughtful again.

"Although maybe.... Maybe Dai-san can help some of the others there too? They might have good memories that could help their cravings too!

"That's not a bad idea Omoi-chan. I had thought I might offer to help your mother get more samples. I know there were others we did not have a chance to help."

Not to mention gathering up and trying to figure out how to help those trapped in glimmerstone.....

[Soshi Kioku]

The bleeding in her legs now stopped, she takes her hand to the Olms' vials and murmurs a prayer to their health. With another nod of thanks to the Kitsune, she places both these and the Newt vial the Fox had retrieved from the half-destroyed desk on a support and moves over to Dai.

"Seems like Omoi-chan's taken quite a liking to you, eh, Dai-san?", she says with a warm smile as she places her hand over the bite and scratch marks still visible on his torso and starts whispering prayers to the water kami.

"We... might be able to do something to help.", she then says, nodding to Omoi. "You... will be here to see them grow, ne, Omoi-chan?"

Omoi's words... they made sense, of course. A spirit could not stay around forever.

That didn't mean they didn't hurt. It did. So much so that it made talking to the Water Spirits harder - she was still able to heal Dai back, despite some bruises and cuts remaining. But it took longer and much more effort than usual.

Unlike the hurt she felt for the last five years, though... this time, she didn't feel the same emptiness inside, the same despair. She... had still lost Omoi. Her daughter's words now made her clear. But seeing her happy like that, and the chance to make her happy bring life back... it felt much different.

Much better.

Hopefully Omoi could stay at least enough to see that come to fruition...

With everything seeming settled, Kiyoshi returned to the snake.

"I'm sorry for calling you here so abruptly." he said.

[Kitsu Kanna]

Kanna laughed, releasing some of the fight tension:

"You're a bit of a tsundere Dai-san, aren't you? That's the second time I personally see you take tremendous risks for little gain then pretending that no, baaaaaaaaaaaaaka, it was all about the money or protecting your investment. I know it's a World of Dreams thing to pose as a bad guy without an ounce of morality while twirling one's mustache but let me reveal a secret to you: It doesn't make anyone looks cooler."

Then she turned to the spectral elephant in the room. It was weird for Kanna's to see a non-evil ghost for once, but she guessed not all non-evil human spirits shunned her.

"Omoi-chan it is then? Kitsu Kanna. Nice to meet you."

The snake slithers close to Kiyoshi, wriggles herself around one of his feet. "What wasss thissss all though?? Ssssemed sssserious... and ssscrewed up"

"Hai! I'm Soshi Omoi. Am? Was? The girl's eyes went up in thought for a while, but she quickly shrugged the thought off.

"Nice to meet you too, Kitsu-sama! You a friend of mom's too? You're all really brave, standing up against... that for mom and the others! I'm really glad mom's met such good friends!", she adds, somewhat naïvely.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

He sat down with her. "Many of the animals of this world are gone. This place is trying to help some species survive and hopefully thrive again. They've also been trying to bring back a few. A way was found to do that, but these spirits were angry about how they died and attacked the one they thought abandoned them."

He pointed towards Kioku. "To be honest, I don't understand everything that has happened here. I just want to help the animals."

Speaking of which!

As a result of their help here, Kitsu Kanna and Soshi Kazumi gain Soshi Kioku as 1/1 ally

Dai and Kitsune Kiyoshi already have her as an ally, so for them Kioku's Devotion is increased to 2 instead (so she's now a 1/2 ally for you)

Kanna, Kazumi, Kiyoshi and Dai also gain +0.2 glory for their help saving the Spine Drake Centre! Their names will be displayed in a plaque at the entrance of the Centre after its renovation is done.

Those whose activities allowed the Sanctuary to present the Dragon Newt and the Rainbow Olm to the public also gain additional glory, depending on their contributions. You will find those in your PF so I don't have to list it all here
