"Oh I think I'm going to get one of those as well! And those adorable cat ears that wiggle when you're happy!"

He pointed excitedly at the prizes he wanted, waving his tickets at the vendor.

"Those... cat ears?"

She doesn't seem to know exactly what the Crane's talking about, and seems confused...

Was that more of that Crane strategy?

At any rate, she tried to take a look - and also to see which Spine Drake plushies were available. As she did, a small head popped out from one of her pockets, curious about what was going on.

[Hotaru Sakura]

"The Oshidama tournament?" She said questioningly at first before she fully realized the one that Sakura was talking about. While she remembered the Yoritomo, her mind didn't really note the Minor Clan samurai who was her partner.

"Oh, yes, that's right. I was there for that. Very well done on your part, Hotaru-san." She put her hands together in a singular clap. "It's no big feat to defeat two celebrity opponents. You would think the weight of their presence alone would have been crushing enough, not to mention any of their rabid fans who might jump to their defence. Thankfully, they weren't so petty to send them in your direction. It was an earned victory. I didn't know there was going to be a party afterwards. What sort of theme? I'd like to get an idea, if I am to make an appearance. "

"Arigatou Bayushi-sama" She thanked the compliment with a deep bow.

When the question of theme came up, Sakura froze.

"The what now?" Should we have a theme? Are we lame now?!

At any rate, she tried to take a look - and also to see which Spine Drake plushies were available. As she did, a small head popped out from one of her pockets, curious about what was going on.

"Those one there!! Yes please!!!!"

He handed over his tickets in exchange for the small plushy spine drake and a pair of cat ears, that he immediately fiddled with and then donned. Almost instantly the ears began to perk up and wiggle as the Asahina smiled in delight.

"Oh these are great!!!!!!" wiggle wiggle

Yes, Kanna was getting the idea that the Bayushi was a dilettante with too much time, too much money, and little in the way of actual skills.

However, Blue Moon was pretty pleased with the enthusiastic turnout and thought it was best that nobody left empty-handed this evening. Those who received 0 Tickets will receive a special voucher to claim a prize valued at 100 Tickets as thanks for their patronage.

Hearing the announcement, the Kitsu jumped at this excuse to drop the conversation.

"Well, apparently I'm eligible to a bag of candies. Might as well go fetch it. It has been an enlightening conversation Bayushi-sama."

Sumiko, hearing the announcement that she had got a participation prize, had collected a pack of sweets and went back to her spot. Munching sweets and watching.

"Arigatou Bayushi-sama" She thanked the compliment with a deep bow.

When the question of theme came up, Sakura froze.

"The what now?" Should we have a theme? Are we lame now?!

Mariko blinked at the question and maintained a faint smile. "...maybe not a theme? Dress code? Is this a casual house party or something more elegant? I imagine Yoritomo-sama must have something of the latter in mind, perhaps?"

Eriko smiled at Reki when she approached, giving her a quick bow once they were within speaking distance. "Hey, good evening! I'd like to think that we had a blast. We won quite a few bit of tickets together, tied even! There was some hope that I could make the big bucks and ace that dog-pilot game but my luck wasn't so great this time around. Aw, well. I'm glad you're having fun too. I hope we didn't interrupt you from..."

She paused for a moment to look in the direction she came from. If there was some sort of treatise writing going on, she doubted that she took her away from that. "Well, you looked like you were read to consider meditation or something. You looked like you could use the company! I was just talking to Hide-san and we have some tickets left over. Seeing as you're the ranking Lion between all of us, maybe you could make use of them?"

And remember this gift when I get in trouble..Some brownie points for later?

Hide gave the Akodo a polite bow before she looked to her wife with a slight tilt to her head. Eriko did seem to be less than comfortable with the Akodo. Maybe drinks one night can fix that right up. “Yeah, we got some spares if you would like some. It was like… 300 I think?”

"I seemed to only have luck at the pilot game...it was where I got the only 400 tickets I have tonight." Reki blinks as the two offer her 300. "...are you two sure, I am not your immediate superior after all. I mean I do have something in mind that the combined values would allow me..."

She smiles, "Have you gotten everything you have wanted?"

"We talked about it quite a bit," she said before nodding to Hide's direction with a smirk. "Strategized it, even."

There wasn't a wink with that but only perhaps Eriko took everything in her being to stop herself from doing so.

"We figured that the photoshoot prize wasn't exactly our thing. A bit too goofy for our liking and we're going to be sharing our prizing anyway. I'll have a shark, for sure. And also, I and Hide-san will have the bow too. That basically covers it for us and our place isn't that big. I figured I should be a good Lion here and support my superior, even if you aren't my immediate superior but good habits are drilled, right? Right?"

Certain people showing up at an embassy would imply potential support...I hope this is over at the Firefly or Minor Clan embassy?"

Eriko really have her way too much credit with that whole strategy thing. “Really, we just want to make sure all our fellow Lion leave with something they like. There’s a good amount of things available for 700 tickets.”

"Honestly, I am not sure. It's mostly an open invite, and we are trying it to be a non-political affair, so." She shrugged. "Bayushi-sama is free to invite anyone she'd like to, of course."

"Given Yoritomo's very notable win and her status, I'm going to assume that almost everyone I know will be there already. That's probably a reason to come but we'll see," she said without commitment on the matter. There was an image she had to retain somewhat. She couldn't just accept any invitation that was given her way, that's how she got randomly sent to a release party over a silly chair.

"If I am to make it, perhaps we can take a picture with your teammate?" She offered with a faint smile. Because kill me now if I'm going to take a picture now, dressed like this.

Yesugen crossed her arms. Whatever sort of madness the Soshi was dealing with, this wasn't the proper place to express it. So either this Crane was being polite or completely oblivious. She really couldn't tell. "They're able to sense happiness?"

Yesugen crossed her arms. Whatever sort of madness the Soshi was dealing with, this wasn't the proper place to express it. So either this Crane was being polite or completely oblivious. She really couldn't tell. "They're able to sense happiness?"

By then, the Soshi had managed to tuck at least most of her painful memories inside - at the moment, she was deciding which colour of plushie to get.

But... sensing happiness? Was that what the cat ears did, really?

She kept looking at the Asahina with her head tilted. "That... is quite interesting! I wonder how they do it."
