How to Roll Dice (or How to Use Sakkaku)

Post by Tassu »

Sakkaku

Since Orokos the dice roller used in earlier games has some database issues, making it impossible for us to check all rolls made, we are using Sakkaku instead. You can find Sakkaku here https://sakkaku.org/roll-d10

First you need to register an account.

Then you need to navigate to L5R - AEG

There you will see this. In the Campaign field you should write 'Banner of Stars'. Character name should be obvious.

Place the description for your roll in the Description box. This is where you note what you're rolling, on which IC day you are rolling, why, and any Raises that you're calling. If you do not note raises, or other required information, in the description, your roll will not count.

Since there has been some misunderstandings, this means writing down the Skill/Trait combination so that we can check your rolls if and when needed.

Dice pool should be self-explanatory - if you are rolling six dice and keeping three, you simply insert 6k3

In the TN box you can write the TN of the roll if you know it. If you have ability that causes dice to explode on 9's or Emphasis that allows you to reroll 1's, adjust the tick boxes beneath the TN field.

Noting Raises and Purpose

Please remember to note why you're rolling dice and any Raises you might be calling on your roll. If you do not note your number of Raises - or you call one Raise when you intended to call three, or visa versa - then you're out of luck, because what you wrote in the description section is what counts.

I made a mistake, what now?
If you have rolled the wrong amount of dice for whatever reason, you can re-roll the dice. Just write in the Sakkaku text box why you are re-rolling and what you are re-rolling.

If you have any questions, please feel free to start up a topic in your private forum.

The righteous need not cower before the drumbeat of human progress. Though the song of yesterday fades into the challenge of tomorrow, the Fortunes still watch and judge us. Evil lurks in the datalinks as it lurked in the alleys of yesteryear. But it was never the alleys that were evil.
