Located, as it was, near some of the more vice oriented parts of the city. A ronin walking by, as long as they did not linger too long, aroused little suspicion.

Of course with Dai's recording equipment all it takes is a moment to 'adjust his shoe' to get footage of someone entering through the guards that he could later review until he had an idea of their procedure.
