[Usagi Rei]

"That sounds like good advice." Rei smirked back.

He waved a hand. "Yes, I've noticed. Especially here. World of Dreams is all about appearances, as you've no doubt become quite aware of in your time here. Sometimes it's an advantage..."

Once more, he turned that smile back on her. "I just want to make sure you know that you are attractive. And that you should find love again someday." He closed his eyes slowly. "When it finds you. When you're ready."

[Akodo Reki]

"I imagine you say that to quite a few people," Reki hide a smirk behind her drink.

Setting her drink down again, her more sincere smile returns, "...yes, but that is something for the future. The pain is too fresh. But...for whatever reason the fortune Benten still seems to smile on me. She has shown great kindness once and I believe she will show me kindness again. But in her wisdom she also leaves me time to mourn. Or I like to think such things, I am no real theologian."

"And you as well Usagi-san, I hope Benten will show you her blessings."

[Usagi Rei]

"Fewer than you'd think." Rei said, hiding his own smirk. "Because I like to mean it when I say it."

"But thank you. And I'm glad." He went on, raising his drink. "Well then. To blessings for both of us, eh? In proper time." And with that, he would toss back the rest of his sake.

Then he rose to his feet. "I need to be going to my next engagement. It's been a pleasure, Akodo-sama. As always." He gave her a bow, but his smile remained.

[Akodo Reki]

"To the future." She raised her glass and finished her drink in turn.

"...and thank you again Usaigi-san." Reki stood up as well, "I...am happy to have met you. I wish you could have met Naomi." Her smile waivered only a fraction, an improvement at least. "I think she would have liked you as well."

She returned the bow.

[Usagi Rei]

Rei smiled sadly. "I would have liked that. And I would have liked her, too." He took a breath. "Talking to you, I'm getting enough of a sense of her, that I can tell."

"Until next time, then." His sad smile turned playful. "I'll get my swimsuit ready."

And with that, he left.

Reki closed her eyes and smiled, in her mind's eye she saw Naomi beside her as they spoke to the Hare. Her wonderful smile.

Yeah...you would have liked him too.

With that she made her leave, time to see what sort of beastly party the most current Scorpion prince of decadence had planned.
