"This one offers her deepest apologies. This one failed to acquire the item you requested of this one. Given this one's failure, and changes in the current situation, this one must regretfully cancel our arrangement. As a token of apology, this one will not request compensation for the funds expended in this ultimately fruitless endeavor. This one thanks you for your consideration and wishes you well in all your future endeavors."

She showed the text to Nishida, to signify the severing of her previous arrangements so she would fully devote herself to his bidding.

She felt like dutiful steward wasn't what NIshida had in mind, though she would not fault him if it were. One might scoff at simply maintaining what is already in place, but that laughter swiftly ended when such leadership could no longer be relied upon.

She took a moment to compose herself. It wouldn't do to get shot by the Miya's guards for attempting to hug the Miya.
