He said nothing for a moment, letting the suddenness of the question disappate as he again drank, watching her, watching him. Then breaking the silence, "Just wondering they matched the winning smile is all, Akodo-san." He did slowly draw back, "We've only just met, after all. I certainly wouldn't be implying anything improper." Then a hint of mischief.

"But if I ever saw those fangs, it wouldn't be the end of the world."

A charmer Reki-chan.

The Akodo sighed and swirled her drink, "I see." She took a sip and then fake smiled wide enough to show her teeth. The Lion meant it to be sardonic, instead it was just comical

"And now you have seen them." Another laugh came from behind her.

You looked ridiculous, Reki-chan. She smiled at that looking back to her side a genuine one, a small blush on her cheeks. A lot of good memories accompanied that familiar laugh.

He was self-aware enough to know that wasn't because of him. Still, the Susumu found himself intrigued by the Lionness.

"We've made a tactical error, Akodo-san. We're drinking together, but have not decided what we are drinking to. How shall we rectify that?"

Reki opened her mouth to say something, but she was gone. Her mouth closed and her smile grew melancholy. A small shine appeared at the edge of her eyes. Picking up a napkin she wiped her eyes. "Seems the drink was stouter then I thought."

A bartender leaned over, "...My apologies Akodo-sama...it's 15 proof, we don't have anything weaker."

The Akodo's smile turned predatory and she turned to look at the bartender, giving the Spider a glimpse of the real 'fangs'. From behind half closed eyes came a promise of violence.

"Oh...my thanks for you pointing that out."

The bartender nodded slowly, "...I need to go see to some other patrons. Over there. On the other side of the bar."

With that unpleasantness out of the way, Reki found herself smiling again. Maybe the World of Dreams had finally lived up to its claims. Regardless a real warmth briefly filled the hole in her.

"To cherished memories."

"And I'm calm because I've found a more engaging diversion than blatant vulgarity." There was a flash behind his glasses, a gleam of something.

She leans slightly closer and speaks in a softer voice. "They do say that courtiers are the sensitive type, no?" A soft chuckle. "I would begin gently if I were you and check the reactions I would get." She waves her hand dismissively. "But I'm not you. Approaches can vary a lot and you should not expect me to do all the work in your stead."

He gave a casual shrug. "And every conversation is a bit of give and take, but I assure you, when needed, I am certainly willing to give." Rei covered his smile with a sip of his drink. This flirting actually was a rather good time, he had to admit.
