"Some might say it's plain being one colour, but sometimes that's exactly what you want. Accessories are where the colour comes in, with your clan mon and any other symbols you need."

The top blue stripes of his top sported an Asahina mon and he tapped one to emphasise the point.

"Ah, I see. So..perhaps some gold earrings? Huh." She thought about some Firefly earrigns. "I should check out if they have those somewhere."

She let out a small surprised sigh. "Ah, so cunning! It's very pretty Asahina-sama."

He grinned, totally not revealing it hadn't been his idea at all and that the Crane had been doing this for centuries.

"Oh yeah. Jewellery is def the way to go. I bet the Scorpions have some really good stuff here, even if they don't have Crane brands."

"Oh my bunny hair pins are great, the silver ones . . . but the gold ones and the blue enamelled ones are good as well. Then there's the ear rings and I can never figure out if I like the bunny studs or the crane studs or the hanging bunnies or the cranes in the half moon, or the Asahina mon or the dangly bunnies or the really dangly bunnies in silver . . . or gold. Maybe the diamond studs . . . . . "

" . . . or the sapphires I inherited from my grandmother. They're so shiny! And then I have some necklaces, some with gems, some without and of course some are bunnies, cranes. I even have a snowflake chain, but I only wear that if it's snowing and I really should get a raindrop one for when it rains! I don't have many bracelets though. They get caught in my hair a lot. Don't know why, they just do!! So the ones I do have are tight on my wrists. More like bangles than actual bracelets. Oh wait, some of my necklaces are chokers really for the same reason, and they help hide the wires when I have to use the long distance microphones rather than the lil wireless ones and even those we get patterned with bunnies for Usagi Drop! Thatw as one of my ideas and Naz-kun loved it! So we all wear them now."

He paused again, but not long enough for Sakura to get a word in edgeways.

"My favourite bangle is blue with a filigree pattern of bunnies chasing each other on them, but I left that at home this time. Wish I'd brought it with me to show you! I have a full set of pins for my stage costumes. They help keep the clothes on when we're dancing. Can't have any wardrobe malfunctions! And they make them soooooo cute. Even the angry bunny ones for when we're singing "In the Drop Zone". Not the only pins I have though, the others are for my casual outfits. I wish capes came back into fashion as I have some really nice clasps I got from my grandmother. Oh well, maybe a Kakita will make them fashionable again. Oh you mentioned anklets as well didn't you? Those are totally cute but they don't go with the thigh highs and knee socks I totally love wearing. We have few stage costumes where we're in shorts and have bare legs. I totally wear an ankle bracelet or two with those."

"I don't wear rings though. Don't like them and I prefer gloves I can take on and off quickly without ripping them on gemstones."

"You know might go well, if you are wearing a jacket perhaps, for a formal occasion? Cufflinks! Cufflinks and earrings, and perhaps a necklace? It might be a nice complement all in all!"

She seemed enthused by the idea. "Hm, gold earrings and then an anklet perhaps with the black dress, arigatou Asahina-sama!"

"Don't tend to wear many jackets, and the ones I do have are already covered in ribbons and embroidery. You can overdo it."

He had the look of someone who had not yet, in his opinion, overdone it.

"Inu-Tai is an ace starship fighter pilot, fighting the evil wolf baddies. I think they're suppsoed to be the Yaddatai or something. But I'm Nousagi the Bunny Warrior in it! You should see if it's on the Imperial repeat channel."

Hinata thought everyone knew who Inu-Tai was, and if they didn't then they should!
