Hato had been requested to meet with a certain Yogo at one of the least popular stores in the mall. I mean, who wanted paper books these days? Still, the scent of old books did touch one at a deeper level. Hato hoped the Scorpion was not going to take so long she got kicked out of the store for loitering.

He hadn't bothered to inquire Jun about the origin of the idea on the meeting ground, but as the smell of paper filled his nostrils, he was pleased and reminded himself to do it later. The heimin might deserve some reward.

Meanwhile, the proprietor with the brightly colored hair was likely internally seething at the Yogo's habits, but the old woman knew better than to confront the Yogo.

Yogo were weird. She wasn't sure what the Yogo's intentions were, but she didn't see harm in his actions.

She didn't want it to go out, or refuse to take it, so she planned to just keep her contacts brief. She didn't notice the influence of the fire kami while holding the pipe, simply because she wasn't thinking of anything particularly difficult at the moment.
