“Oh, yeah. Been here a little over a week. It’s been quite the adjustment. But at least I get to be here with my wife.” Hide seemed more than a little proud of that latter bit. “How about you?”

"Congratulations on the marriage!" Sakura seemed geuninely happy! "You look so happy when mentioning her. Oh, did Matsu-sama enjoy the Oshidama? You were playing with my girlfriend."

She put a slight emphasis on girlfriend, unconsciously. And he smile widened.

"Oh, me? I'm born and raised here."

[Asahina Hinata]

"I don't know how helpful this will be for those people," she says, a touch of warmth in the tone but yet it seems distant and false. Like a woman resigned. "But most of these people might be those you know." Getting up, she moves over to Hinata's side of the table and sits beside him. This way they had the same viewpoint for her to work from. Leaning in a bit she peers among the shadowed interior to try and pick out the faces again.

A soft, more earnest smile. "Over there is Yakumo, your erstwhile companion and dear friend. She appears to be speaking to Ide Yamako, a woman I met earlier on. She's very kind, Ide Yamako. We spoke at length about such banal topics and I thought I could keep going on forever. Woman has a strength of presence that is welcoming, and even I felt taken in by it."

He started to wave at Yakumo before stopping himself. She was busy.

"Oh I met Ide-samaaaa last week. Helped her get to know the kitties at Hakumyo."

"Those cats are precious," she remarks, and can be honest about that now that she was so far separated from them. Something about her seemed to interest a few, maybe it was the heart she carried and the shadows it held. Maybe it was just because she couldn't be bothered to pay any of them any mind and just let them have their way. Koyuki was not an expert on cats, and she would never be.

"Over there," she shifts their attention, "Is Miya Nishida. A man who was once Yasuki, and so has the strength of his blood to carry him through great endeavors. He is also a man that possess' an inquisitive and curious mind, and is fueled first most by a compassion for those he feels he can help. A man that does not leave any stone unturned if he feels that he might save a life, or even cure a planet."

[Matsu Hide]

“Also thank you for the congratulations. It’s only been a short while since we have been wed, but I had to on duty so soon after. Finally getting to spend time with my wife, Eriko, has been wonderful.”

[Asahina Hinata]

Sakura could've hugged Hide right then and there.

"Oooooh. Can I get you another drink?" She was beaming, a very wide smile that was sure to be painful if it didn't stop in 3.4 seconds. "Well, then I am quite glad. Have you and your wife, Eriko, been able to enjoy some nice couples entertainments? Let me know if you'd like a guide, or some tips, or anything, really. I am in your debt."

[Bayushi Senshuken]

It was a slightly bewildered Rei, dressed in his formal greys and whites, that found himself standing next to Senshuken. He smiled, taking a sip from his sake cup, but his eyes were just a little wild as they darted in, the normally alert Hare just a touch overwhelmed by the sheer variety of sights and sounds.

Turning to the nearby Bayushi, Rei bowed. "Bayushi-san. Good evening. I hope you're enjoying yourself?" His smile turned into a thoughtful frown as he studied her features. Darn it, she looked so familiar, but his thoughts were all a jumble...

The Scorpion is startled at first but soon she smiles a very broad smile that reveals both drunkness and cheerfulness. She bows as well. "I doooo! How about yourself, Usagi san?" She asks before chuckling. "Goodness! Might you be the Hare everyone is talking about today?"

Shifting, "And that is Hotaru Sakura. Another kind woman with a mind for the game she plays. Very bright, and very willing to be helpful even when it most certainly would have benefitted her most to shut her door on those begging her favors. I will feel indebted to her for as long as I live, I suspect."

Or you could do it now, I can wait for you to return," she says, settling back into the seat a little.

Lord Magistrate gave her a seconds pause, a hesitation in the flow of her step.Shaking it off she continues, "Matsu Hide is a bright woman and I think you two would get along very well, Asahina-san. Before you leave today, I would suggest popping over there and asking her for her contact information that you might find some brief time together. Or you could do it now, I can wait for you to return," she says, settling back into the seat a little.

"Oh but they're talking. I shouldn't interrupt them now . . . . I think?"

He looked conflicted, or perhaps confused . . . or both?

"Senshuken. Bayushi Senshuken." She mirrors his introduction. "I wouldn't worry if I were you. Something about combining abs with brains." She pretty much lies, but heh! It's for a good cause. "I'm not sure who has checked which. Perhaps my sources are not reliable." She adds with a playful wink.

Rei grinned. "Oh. Well. In that case, everything you heard is true." He joked back. He didn't quite wink, but he raised his sake glass to her. "Although, who knows? It's a long season. Perhaps you'll get access to new data." He teased.

His head tilted. "The racer, right? I thought I recognized you at the club. That's been bugging me all week." Well... when he remembered, anyway. He met a lot of people.

Rei grinned. "Oh. Well. In that case, everything you heard is true." He joked back. He didn't quite wink, but he raised his sake glass to her. "Although, who knows? It's a long season. Perhaps you'll get access to new data." He teased.

“Ah! No need. I’m cutting back on drinking a little.” Hide herself could not stop smiling. “Well, we did go to the concert the other night! Though, we have been busy with a few other things I do hope to have a couple of nights out with other couples. I offered to Yurei-san once she spoke with you that I would be happy to have a double date kind of meal, my treat.”

[Susumu Yuji]

Reki turned to look at the new comer, she had a certain disdain in her eyes...though it faded a little at the man's surprising calm, some respect even shown in her eyes. "Not exactly the words I would use, Susumu-sama." The Lion opted for caution in presuming their relative positions.

"Akodo Reki, Gunso." She added with a dip of her head, the confined space and general atmosphere made the formality of a bow seem inappropriate. "The Scorpion do seem to have a taste for these gatherings though, and I am essentially a guest on their world. So I defer to their whims in entertainment."

"Gunso. I'm honored then. I am the aide to the Spider Ambassador here upon the World of Dreams. A very different battlefield than what you may be used to." He responded with a similar dip of the head.

"As do we all. As gracious guests, of course. Still, sometimes the... lack of subtlety even with the airs that are put on can take one breathless. I'm pleased to see that not everyone gets so easily swept up in it." His smile, painted vibrant red, stood out from his features.

"How have you found your time here so far?"

"It can wait," she says. Koyuki's manner wasn't as comforting naturally, perhaps. Yet, there was a certain finality to it when she said certain things that ultimately was comforting. Like suddenly the worry wasn't there because permission was granted to a different solution.

"Should I continue then? There are a few more familiar faces. Some new ones came in too."

He looked at her, eyebrows going up. "Although that was rather specific. Is there something like that on your mind, Bayushi-sama?"

Rei considered that a few moments. "I mean... not recently." He said, smirking. "But, well, we've all been there one time or another, right?" He, likewise, was also probably joking. Well, 70% joking anyway.

He looked at her, eyebrows going up. "Although that was rather specific. Is there something like that on your mind, Bayushi-sama?"

Definitely been there more than a few times but she just nods. "Definitely. Kissing girls," she nods again, "and boys sometimes, why not, is always on my mind. Especially if it comes with the extra perks of liking it and forget who they were right after."

She raises her glass for a toast. "May you relive it soon, Usagi san. Not recently just won't do. Not under my watch!"
