[D5EA] Crossed Streams

[Yūrei]

Yūrei politely waits for the other two to start eating before there's a blur of motion and what sounds like a chainsaw and her plate is suddenly empty as she sips her tea.

"Oh Winter Court is the best time for most samurai, all the glamour, the events, the intrigue. Anyone who's anyone comes to the World of Dreams eventually."
she dips her head in Yakumo's direction.

"It tends to be a little more dangerous for ronin. But the rewards can often be well worth the risks."

[Susumu Yakumo]

Yakumo scooped off a bite of cheesecake for herself with the fork, and at the first taste she just knew that cake was going straight to her sides. Kamidamnit, why did Tian's have to make such good stuff... if she came back here during the winter, she just knew the tabloids would switch from making up stories about revolving-door of sexual partners to "Idol gained weight! Is Yakumo pregnant? or Yakumo's contract in danger as idol lets herself go?!.

She held in that sigh, not wanting to think about that now.

"But ronin still get to attend some of the events, yes? You were at the sake launch-party, I recall?" Oh goodness, Yurei had already finished her cake!!

[Yūrei]

Snip

"Oh, I wasn't officially invited."
Dropping her voice conspiratorially
"A friend brought me as their plus 1! Which was a bit of a risk for her, people like me aren't supposed to attend things like that."
Looking apologetic
"It brings the class of the event down. But it worked out in the end."

[Susumu Yakumo]

"Oh please, the only one bringing down the class level was that boor who thought to make a scene of you being there," Yakumo scoffed, preferring to not think too much about that particular creep.

"You are so sweet, I don't think you could bring anything down."

[Yūrei]

Snip

Yūrei shoots her a look of adoration.

"Oh, Susumu-sama doesn't miss much! I'm just glad it didn't get my friend into trouble, she's very sweet."
Pausing, looking a bit guilty.

"Umm, before I forget. And only if it wouldn't be a huge trouble. But... couldyousignmydress?"
She blinks big eyes at Yakumo
"I promise I'll never wash it again if you do!"

[Susumu Yakumo]

Oh no! But what if that one of the few clothes she own! She can't go without washing it... she might only have one more change of clothes without it.

Never had Yakumo been this concerned about signing anything for a fan. Should she offer Yurei to buy her a new set of clothes, or was that some sort of offensive etiquette to ronin?

"Of course I'll sign it!" she quickly decided to avoid overthinking herself into being unable to think. "I'd be more than happy to... ah, since we're making odd requests, do you think you could help me carry my bags to my car when we're done here later?" Perfect, a cover for giving her a tip that should be enough to buy something new.

"Ah, do you have a pen?"

[Usagi Rei]

Rei, sipping his tea, frowned. "Uhhh... Yurei-san, isn't there anything else that she could sign? Something that maybe has a little less utility for you? Or at least something that it's okay if you don't wash?"

[Yūrei]

"Of course Susumu-sama! I'll make sure you and your bags get there swiftly and safely."
Her tones suggests a pledge to guard them with her life.

Handing over a felt tip pen.
"Right in the middle, maybe?"

She turns and bows her head slightly to Rei

"It's fine, really. I don't have much. But that just makes it more special. This is worth so much more than one dress. It won't even be a dress anymore, it'll be a sign that I met Susumu Yakumo and she met me."
The very thought has the ronin smiling goofily.

[Susumu Yakumo]

"I would feel really bad if you lost one of the few things you have to wear..." she was thankful that Rei voiced her concern, but she did take the felt tip pen and uncapped it.

"How'bout I give you a generous tip for being so very helpful, and you can get something new?" Yakumo suggested as she put a hand on Yurei's back to smooth out the fabric to make it easier to write.

[Yūrei]

Yūrei's eyes widen. She's touching me!...Oh no, she'll feel how warm I am...wait no, the gloves! I hope they're thick...oh but they're so soft.

Unsurprisingly it takes her a few moments to full process what Yakumo had said.
"I...only if that is what you wish. I wish I could have been even more helpful."
She does her best to keep any excited vibrating to a minimum.

[Usagi Rei]

"Susumu-san is very generous." Rei said, smiling, as he continued to sip his drink, feet casually up on the chair. He seemed to naturally adopt a casual pose whenever possible.

He did, however, crane his neck to see what it was that Yakumo was writing.

[Susumu Yakumo]

"You've been more than helpful, Yūrei-san," Yakumo assured her as the pen moved across the back.

For the Cutest Yūrei - keep on shining.

"There! All done!"

[Yūrei]

"Oh thank you, thank you ever so much!"
She does her best to resist the urge to twist and try to read the writing.

"I'll treasure it always...oh, and wear it to the concert tomorrow! Then I'll treasure it always!"
Beaming at the two of them
"Thank you both for making this humble samurai very, very happy. Sakura-chan is going to be so jealous."

[Susumu Yakumo]

"Oh you're so precious, Yūrei-san," she said with a warm smile. Internally Yakumo was squealing and imagining herself squishing the ronin's cute cheeks. "I was more than happy to meet such a nice fan as yourself. It really makes me happy to know that my music reaches everyone in the Empire."

At some point during Yūrei's help with getting to the car and loading the bags, the ronin would be happy to later find one bu for her troubles from Yakumo.
