(D2, LE Kochako Fried Chicken) A little food before drinking (Expecting)

[Matsu Hide]

Hide’s eyes widened as the spotlight was shifted to her. She slowly turned her head to face the other two as she swallowed the bit of chicken she still had in her mouth. “You want me to tell it?”

Of course Eriko did. She did like to leave the talking to Hide. “Errr… Well yeah. Not sure how much you know about the stuff that happened later in the miai, but if you know about the whole kidnapping situation well… The kidnappers might have wanted a bit of revenge. So they crashed our wedding! Took a shot to the shoulder in the process. It was kind of funny to see the shock on the poor Kitsu priest’s face, though.”

Hide glanced over at Eriko and grinned wide. “My mother was so pissed. Not at you. But at the wedding crashers. Remember how she grabbed one and flipped him? I think I heard his arm break.”

[Miya Nishida]

"Really?" asked Nishdia in surprise, "Some of those pirates tried to kill you at your wedding?" His gaze moved from Hide to Eriko, "They seriously attacked a Matsu wedding?!"

[Matsu Hide]

“It really did seem like a last-ditch effort at revenge. But yeah, they attacked a Matsu wedding as crazy as that sounds.” Hide leaned back slightly in her seat, maybe a bit amused by Nishida’s reaction.

[Matsu Eriko]

Eriko chuckled on an anxious note with a few glances at Hide. "Ahaa...Are you sure she wasn't? I kind of thought I mentioned it beforehand, or maybe I didn't. I mean, she's kind of a hard read most of the time. Sometimes I think she's just always mad. It was kind of in the open, and Inari’s Cradle is kind of close to Mantis space, so there's more than a bit of overlap there. Matsu Prime might have been a better location but I think your family thought the golden fields looked far too familiar to the Lion lands on Rokugan."

[Miya Nishida]

Nishida laughed a little, "Seems like one of the most interesting weddings in Rokugan. At least the ones I've heard about lately," he said with a smile, "Did you get them all? Or should I get ready to box Eriko-sans out of the Court again?"

[Matsu Hide]

“Well the ones at the wedding, yes. But I didn’t see the guy that was hiring the ronin on Asakaze. So there’s definitely more out there.”

Hide turned her attention to Eriko and smiled. “Oh, if my mom was mad at you, you’d know it. She’s very direct about those things.”

[Matsu Eriko]

Eriko chuckled on a semi-nervous note. "Just the ones at the wedding. It's kind of hard work when you've got almost an entire organization mad at you. It seems that being in the Lion Clan was the best fit in my circumstance, that and I have such a courageous girl who picked me despite knowing all of the trouble I caused in the galaxy."

She gave Hide a few nudges of her elbow and a genuine smile.

[Miya Nishida]

He nodded, "Then I hope the pirates will leave you alone here" he said and stood up, "Please forgive me, I should be going now, an old friend is waiting for me" he said and bowed.

[Matsu Eriko]

"Hopefully! I don't think they'll try anything while I'm in an upstanding district like this one. The last few were a bunch of one-offs. Nothing to worry about," she said confidently. However, a bunch of one-offs wouldn't make them one-offs, would they? Eriko wasn't going to concern herself with the specifics of that.

Eriko hassled herself to get up for her seat and return the bow as well, given their history and his importance. "Of course, have yourself a good evening, Nishida-sama. It was swell seeing you again!"

[Matsu Hide]

Hide followed suit and got up from her seat to offer a polite bow to the now-Imperial. “Have a nice evening. And it was good seeing you again!”

[Miya Nishida]

"Likewise! Maybe we can catch up some other time, i guess i can reach you via the embassy?" he asked, before eventually making his exit

[Matsu Eriko]

"That's where I'm working and rooming, catch me any time!" She would tell him in parting.

After sitting back down, Eriko took a peek at what Hide was having in her bucket and help herself to another piece casually.
