[D6 ME] The Concert

[Usagi Rei]

Rei appreciated Usagi Drop! more than he was an actual fan. Still, he couldn't help but grin, cheering, as Hinata came on stage. There was no denying that the small man had a powerful infectious energy, as well as a lot of talent.

[Hotaru Sakura]

"It's alright." he assured her. "I'm not really working on anything at the moment. We're waiting to see what the next Detective series might be. I've done a few small concerts, but I'm not sure how much I want to expand that yet."

"Ah, I see, Isee." She wanted to continue but heard Hinata was starting and felt a chill run through her spine.

She yelled DROP at the top of her lungs, possibly scaring the Detective.

"Sorry, sorry. I just never thought I'd be able to get to a concert...ever." she smiled fondly. "Life is certainly strange sometimes."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

Kiyoshi had cheered with her and he and tge Detective applauded.

"I fully understand and, I assure you, everyone on that stage appreciates your excitement."

[Hotaru Sakura]

"Asahina-samaaaaaa! You're the best!!" Screamed Sakura. "I met him, you know. He's so kind!"

"Yes. He really is." he agreed. "He loves animals almost as much as I do."

[Susumu Yakumo]

As Hinata's number finished, the lights dimmed and a familiar melody began to play, and as the lights slowly returned to the stage, Yakumo was there, ready for the show.

The air in the room completely changed as she began to perform, showing that while it was fine to listen to recorded music, nothing could even come close to the real deal.

People in the audience feel an overwhelming sense of euphoria listening to Yakumo sing. This can be opposed by rolling Etiquette (Courtesy)/Willpower against TN 32. (This is a Contested Social Roll against a Spider Samurai, which gives 1 Free Raise to Bayushi Courtier 1) This effect lasts for the entire Timeslot.

"Whoa, I did not know that about him. He's even cooler now!"

She smiled and sang along with the song....offkey of course.

"It must be different enjoying a concert as a professional."

Rei did his best to be cool, but, well, Yakumo frankly wowed him. Despite himself, he found himself grinning, unable to keep his gaze from the stage.

"I'm still a big fan, but it is a bit different." he nodded. "I'm looking at the presentation overall and appreciating the production as well as the performance. "

Tsuyo's enjoyed the Wasp off and on since she came to World of Dreams. No sense missing out on the big concert. She camped out a sturdy seat at the bar to stay out of the dizzying press of bodies closer to the stage, noting familiar and less familiar faces throughout and recording a shot or two on her recorder to send home with her next message to Dechen, who'd never seen the place *this* packed.

There was a comfortable familiarity to Moonshade's set at this point; enough technical flair to the Crane boy's work to interest her, even if the tune wasn't so much her favorite; but Yakumo... Tsuyo sat up a bit straighter, the lyrics yanking hard on the thrill of drawing her visions on the face of small worlds with the power of fire and her own hands.

[Matsu Hide]

Live concert at a night club? Well, Hide certainly wasn’t one to let an opportunity pass by like that. She sat back away from the crowd of people trying to get as close to the stage as possible. Super fans and the like tended to be a bit too much for Hide, something about trying to crowd someone like that was a tad unnerving to the Matsu.

So, with a drink in hand she found herself a seat off to the side. The entertainment was fun and the energy of the crowd made her feel a bit pumped just sitting there.

[Hotaru Tsuyo]

Tsuyo would receive the intentional gaze of the Kuni, waiting until she was noticed before waving the woman over toward the free seat opposite her off toward the edge of the room away from the main floor.

Pushing off her seat and onto the cane's support, boozey bomb of a drink in the other, Tsuyo weaves through the packed bodies, only needing to plant her cane on a foot twice to get through. "Kuni-san! How's the season treating you?!" she calls over the music as she sets the drink down before shifting into her seat.

[Bayushi Mariko]

The end of Realm Expo had her spending a good time arranging to have her table packed up and any remaining products to be shipped away. There was also the invitation to join the volunteer after party but like she was going to dedicate time to an event with mochi, noodle sandwiches, and soft drinks. That was absolutely beneath her and there were better places to go. She changed out of her dress and threw on something a bit more hip with plenty of midriff showing. Given the nightclub setting for the concert, she would have to wade embarrassingly through a theatre for her seat as she meandered in after the first performance. Fashionably late was most certainly her aim.

From the stage:

"A big applause to Asahina Hinata of Usagi Drop!, and your own local star, Soshi "Moonshade" Kazumi!" Yakumo encouraged the audience in the lull between music. "We're, truly, joined by some amazing talent here tonight. And we're joined by such a wonderful audience! Thank you!"

Her smile was warm and affectionate as she looked out at the gathered crow. "Be ready to hear not only some of your favourite songs tonight, but some new work we've all prepared just for you tonight - songs never heard before until this evening!" A moment was given for the cheer to calm down.

"I wrote this especially for this world. This World of Dreams. Hear my Song of scattering of reverberation!"

Upbeat music began to play, soon followed by Yakumo vocalising along to the beat of the melody before the first words came. The special effects of the Wicked Wasp simulated the appearance of fireworks and sparkles to accompany the performance.

But, it was a big musical event and her wife was there! When was she going to score such good seats again? She was dressed in one of her many relaxed suits for the evening.

"Heya there, what are you doing on your lonesome?" She grinned as she took the seat beside her.

Casually winding his way through the crowd, Rei ended up next to Mariko. Just two people in a club, listening to music while happening to be next to each other.

"Good evening, Bayushi-san." Rei said, smiling, in-between one song and the next. His gaze returned to the stage as Yakumo began performing her new (doubtlessly a hit) single.

Sumiko, remainig in her more casual outfit, had gone to the concert as much to support her kin. She wasn't much of a music person usually. The performances were very good, but it was Yakumos that hit her most. She tapped her foot along with the song and smiled, feeling energized and more positive by the moment.

Yeah it was a good idea to come here.
