(Day 10, EA) Flying Fancy Free

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

The Detective and Kiyoshi walked along the pathways of the sanctuary, approaching The Aerie and the spine drakes.

"I'm afraid we won't be able to dance with any monkeys today, but maybe we can show Goldwing some moves." the Fox mused.

[Asahina Hinata]

Wandering somewhat aimlessly ahead of them was a blue clad short samurai they had met before. In one of his bunny eared hoodies, shorts and thigh highs as usual he was looking somewhat lost.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Asahina-sama?" The Kitsune called out, while the Detective loped forward to greet the Crane.

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata turned at the sound and spotted a monkey running at him!!!!!!

Fortunately it was one he recognised and not an escapee!!

"Oh hi, Detective-sannnnn!! Kitsune-samaaaa!!"

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Hello Asahina-sama. Are you to visit the spine drakes too,?" Kiyoshi asked. "I hope you've been well."

[Asahina Hinata]

After giving the Detective the 'sorry I have no gummies or bananas' look, he skipped closer.

"The Spine Drakes are close???"

How to admit you're lost, for the second day running, without saying you're lost.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Yes, they're just up ahead." he nodded. "Would you like to join us?"

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh!"

He span around almost expecting to see drakes right in front of him, only to be greeted by the exact same path he'd just walked over.

"I didn't realise I was this close to them. I'd love to see them!"

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"This way." he gestured down the path. "We really enjoyed the concert, by the way."

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh thank you!!! It was so much fun to sing with Yakumo-samaaaaaa!!!!"

They kept walking to the Spine Drake enclosure.

"I got to talk to one of these a few days ago. She really liked playing in trees."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"They're very playful." he nodded. "And, I imagine we'd play in trees too, if we could fly."

They arrived and a few spine drakes could be seen flying about in the enclosure. One with golden scales approached the glass, hovering in front of them.

"Hello Goldwing! I'm happy to see you, too."

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata was just in awe.

"Oh . . . . . "

He stared at the golden one hovering in front of them.

"They're soooooooo pretty."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"This one us Goldwing." Kiyoshi smiled. "We've become friends."

[Asahina Hinata]

"Hi Goldwing!!!!!!!"

He waved at the tiny fluttery reptile.

"Oh you can't hear me through the glass can you?"

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"She's very perceptive." Kiyoshi nodded. "And, fast."

The Detective waved at the drake as well, chattering happily.

[Asahina Hinata]

"Airi was really fast as well. Especially when chasing her ball."

Eyes glued to the flittering spine drake still.

"How did you meet Goldwing, Kitsune-samaaaa!!??!?!?"

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"I saw her here. Then I was speaking with Soshi Kioku-sama about her, and I called her closer. Like this."

He beckoned Goldwing to come closer and she did as before, flying around the glass and over to the monkey and two samurai.

Not for the first time, Hinata stared in awe.

"Oh . . . . . . . . . . "

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

The drake remained hovering out of arm's reach.

"Goldwing this is Asahina Hinata-sama." Kiyoshi introduced them. "He'd like to be your friend."

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata was smiling widely and waving.

"Hi hi Goldwing-sannnnnnnnnn!!!!"

Already having forgotten the spine drake probably could not hear never mind understand him.
