[D8 LA] Debrief

[Hotaru Sakura]

Sakura slowly raised her hands to wipe away some tears. The adrenaline helped her through the other day, but now, actually experiencing it, she let out a heavy, sigh. She stood up, and moved to Kioku, extending arms to offer a hug, propriety can go fuck itself.

If Kioku accepted, Sakura would sit down, and place her sample on the table. "THis one is for the Deepblack Silk project. Based on the nature of the samples, I am not sure that they can be used for repopulation. I have an idea how to develop it." She sighed.

"A...something like a friend, I guess, helped me remove the curse. What she had to say is that this sample was very heavily influenced by a realm, other than Jigoku, but not a friendly one either. The word she used was sinister."

[Dai]

"I was able to obtain a sample of the Oborozuki Dragon Newt. Seems like there might be enough to bring them back." There was slight conflict in his voice as he pondered the other uses for the sample, "Someone would need to take care of the curse part though."

[Soshi Kioku]

Kioku is startled by Sakura's reaction - but just for a moment. She accepts the hug, some more stubborn tears falling down, but by the time Sakura sits down beside her she has contained herself - mostly. She nods thankfully to Dai again - she hasn't had the time to see the slideshow in detail yet, but she will. Widening eyes suggest some excitement about the possibility of bringing back the Dragon Newts - but she simply nods. "It would certainly be very well received if we could bring them back, Dai-san. Both I and the Sanctuary will be very thankful." Looking at the others, though, she speaks in a lower voice. "But if not for you, I and the Sanctuary wouldn't have the chance to bring back Rainbow Olms either. So... I will let it be your call as to what you do."

Looking back at Sakura then: "The Deepblack Silk project..." she seems thoughtful for a moment. "I wasn't involved in it, but... it was a collaboration with S&Y Materials Research, right? That... It was a complicated mixing of different species. At least some of the species probably still exist somewhere in the world of dreams, I believe. But... a sinister realm other than Jigoku, then?"

She seems thoughtful. "I... assume more than one fits the bill. But really... given the Desolation as a whole? I do not know exactly how that happened, but Gaki-do sounds like a good guess."

She looks at the Rainbow Olm sample again. "Well. Should we... try to work on this today, then?" Her hands reach towards it, longingly. She seems almost uncertain, and stops just before touching it, then looks at you all, as if waiting for what you think.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"I will help in anyway I can, Soshi-sama, but I'm afraid I lack the knowledge to cleanse the sample." the Fox spoke up.

[Soshi Kioku]

She nodded to him. "I understand. We might try to see if we can start the process even so..." Kioku looks to Sakura. "Or, if you think your friend is willing to help, we can leave the sample in peace for now and try this when she can join us." A look at the sample, between worried and anxious. "Preferably soon, if possible..."

Then, looking at the others. "The same goes for the other samples, minasan. As I said, it's ultimately your choice on how to approach this." A friendly smile. "But if you want help, I would not deny it."

EDIT: (As we're after dayflip, we can RP something happening here, but actual rolling will have to happen on D9! Again, sorry for my delay, took me a while to catch up during D8 after our scene!)

[Susumu Sumiko]

"I would be confident to say it's Gaki-Do cursed" Sumiko nodded "although it's a very unusual way for Gaki-Do to act, the level of influence the realm has had in that area is very clear to see from the time we spent there. That would certainly require spiritual assistance, as much as I would love to resolve these issues myself through knowledge it will need your assistance Soshi-sama."

[Soshi Kioku]

"The samples being affected by the same Realm that now affects the whole are would indeed make sense. I... hadn't expected this, to be honest. Probably should have."

She nods at Sumiko. "It is unusual, though. I imagine it may be related to how the connection happened. I am no specialist, but from what I remember ties to Gaki-do are usually linked to how a spirit lived. Here, however... it might be more related less to how they lived, and more to how they..."

Died. Saying the word, after having just seen her daughter's face, would not be easy.

A deep breath.

"Well." Looking at the Rainbow Olm sample, which she didn't touch yet. "We can try this tomorrow, then, as it's getting late. Kitsune-san... may I count on some help from you tomorrow?" Then, looking at the others. "Susumu-san, I will be happy to provide assistance where I can, as I said."

Then to the others. "Likewise to you, Dai-san... regardless of what you choose to do with your sample."

Then to Sakura. "Hotaru-san, perhaps your experience with the Deepblack Silk sample could aid Susumu-san as well?"

(OOC: I assume we're good to wrap up this thread more or less soon and continue tomorrow, or in other threads with Kioku if you want. Although if you want to keep chatting or RPing, that's always welcome!)
