(D1, LA) Meeting New Friends

"I believe they do." he assured the Crane. "It looked like they had plushies of everything."

With the Detective bounded along beside him as he led the way to the souvenirs.

Hinata was like a kid in a toy shop . . . which . . . . yeah.

He picked up several plushies but always put them back until he found both a spinedragon and a rainbow pangolin. He looked at the other plushies trying to decide how many he could carry.

Kiyoshi purchased a bag of gummies for the Detective and a small pangolin plushie.

"May I help you with some of those, Asahina-sama?"

"The big plushies are so good but I think I can get more of the small ones . . . but they're all so cute. I don't know which ones to leave."

The rainbow pangolin and spine-drake were in his grip though. Those would be leaving with him.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Well, you have one for the land and one for the sky. Can I interest you in a tiger squid?"

[Asahina Hinata]

"Ooooooooooo, yes you can!"

One for each biome was fitting, not that Hinata realised that, he was just taken by the plush tentacles. Nine bu this haul would cost. The Embassy was probably very happy to have gotten across to him that he couldn't use the Winter Budget for shopping.

"Excellent choice." he grinned. "We've enjoyed spending the afternoon with you Asahina-sama. I hope we can do this again sometime."

"Oh definitely, there's so many more animals to see."

He juggled his plushies while trying to pay for them, not wanting to put them down.

"Here, let me help you." he offered to hold a plushie or two, careful not to take any without permission.

Could he bear anyone else touching his plushies??? . . . Of course he could. He wasn't one of those Plushy Purist weirdos.

"Oh thank you!"

He offloaded to Kiyoshi, paid for his haul and then reclaimed them from the Fox.

"Yay. These are going to look so good in my collection back on Harusame!"

"How large is your collection?"

He grinned.

"Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge!!"

His armful of plushies prevented him from trying to mime how big.

"We get lots of rabbit plushies thrown to us on stage! I get to keep most of them."

He grinned.

"It's mostly monkeys for me and bananas for the Detective." the Fox grinned. The monkey looked up expectantly at the mention of bananas.

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh are they plushy bananas or real ones?"

He looked down at the Detective, hoping it was real ones and that the poor animal didn't try to eat plush ones.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"A mixture of both." he answered. "The Detective prefers the real ones, of course, but plushie bananas are a lot softer to be hit by when thrown by over eager fans."

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh!"

He looked really surprised.

"People throw bananas at you?"

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"The Detective is usually beside me on stage." he explained. "Some fans have poor aim."

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh folks don't throw things at us. Well there was that one time Tomoyo-kun tried to catch a rabbit and missed it, but I'm sure they didn't mean to throw it in his face."

He looked down at the Detective again and suddenly thought of something.

"Oh I mean a plushy not a real rabbit."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"It was just the bananas that were thrown." he shrugged. "Our audience was generally a younger crowd and they liked seeing the Detective react to all the flying bananas. We never really cared for it, but you do things for the fans."

[Asahina Hinata]

He nodded, remembering countless interviews where he'd been forced to sit still and answer questions for far too long.

"Oh yeah. I hope you enjoyed all the bananas, Detective-saaaan!"
