[D3 LM] A Serenity of Fireflies

[Hotaru Sakura]

Sakura busied herself, bringing in breakfast, and snacks, and some tea to the office. Well, one of them. Their little court party decided to hold a strategic meeting, and of course, Sakura considered herself the least senior member, so it was up to her to arrange everything. She was just wearing your every day Firefly jumpsuit for now.

[Hotaru Tsuyo]

Tsuyo's well-rested and cheerful as she arrives, the sound of her cane on the floor preceding her. "Oh good, you picked one of the rooms with a magnetized table," she says as she slips into a seat. Her casual slacks and usual gray vest give the artist that informal but elegant look Dechen had tried so hard to curate for her.

She offers a thankful nod as she grabs a mug and an onigiri before dumping a small dish of paperclips onto the speckled surface of the stone table. "You and Yurei-san have fun at the sake rollout last night?" One hand absently starts pulling the little metal clips into slinky structure as the magnetized table sticks them to one another.

Sakura smiled gladly as Tsuyo arrived. "Arigatou Tsuyo-sama. You look dashing today!" She continued placing out all the small things still to be done, before getting ready to take some notes.

"Yurei-chan...I'm sure she had fun. We parted after arriving, to "mingle" as they say. Hopefully she didn't drink too much though. Did Tsuyo-sama have fun?"

[Hotaru Katsutoshi]

"Good morning minna-sama!" Katsutoshi had the benefits of a long sleep, remembering to drink copious amounts of water before bed, and the unfair ability of the young to shrug off alcohol. He seemed quite okay despite how much he had knocked back the night before.

"Mmm, tea. Definitely want to keep hydrated today." First he collected some breakfasty snacks. "Priorities though. So, dud you both enjoy the evening? There were a lot of interesting conversations going on."

[Hotaru Tsuyo]

She inhales half her cup of tea as Katsutoshi arrives, then answers them both. "Was a good time. Decent enough sake and the amusement of watchin' those as can't hold theirs. With so many new folks, the rumors and news are a gettin' spicier, so that was a hint of the season ta come, I think."

"Some fashion forcasts hinting around that I might work into a pitch or two if anyone's interested in hirin' for my work. Extra activity in the blighted spaces with all the newcomers...and some fixtures hoping those folks will turn into new fans or somethin.' Oh, and an oshidama tournament today for the folks who don't mind sittin' under an open sky for hours."

[Hotaru Katsutoshi]

He nodded along as he chewed at some fine snackables. There was a short laugh. "You know, once upon a time I'd have been down for some beach oshidama action. We used to play it, badly, on the ship and I always wondered about playing in full gravity. Now though, not so bothered. Maybe I'll watch though..."

[Hotaru Sakura]

"Ah, perhaps not the tournament than Katsu-sama, but if you'd like, I'd be happy to play with you sometime, just for fun?" She smiled sweetly. "I'm an okay player. My father used to love it. Just a ball, and some space..." She turned a bit misty eyed.

She turned towards Tsuyo. "Anything certain Tsuyo-sama, or just people expressing interest in your work?"

[Hotaru Tsuyo]

"It's so much more precise in freefall, honestly. Full gravity just seems unnecessarily clunky. Anyway, not interested in gettin' sand all into the leg gears here." She taps the prosthetic. "Happy to watch and cheer you lot on though."

At Sakura's question, she shakes her head a bit. "No interest expressed last night. I expect more after Soshi-sama's shindig. I'm just tryin' to keep an eye on the trends so I've got some ideas in hand. You hear anythin' useful at the party? It's early days, but never know what'll pay off in court before we're done for the season."
