[D11 ME] System Breach: House of Many Colors edition

[Hotaru Sakura]

Sakura was sitting at one of the computers, doing some research (best places to have a romantic dinner) when suddenly she noticed some pings....lots of them. The system sweep she set up a while ago at the behest of the Firefly ambassador was chiming in.

"Minnasama, we're under attack. They're trying to get into the system! Protect the shipment records! Please help me!"

She yelled out to the non-Firefly section as well. "Kiyoshi-sama, Rei-sama, check your computers! If we're being hacked, you might be too!"

[Hotaru Tsuyo]

Tsuyo comes through the hall, densai in one hand, cane in the other, hitting the floor hard with her hurry. "Somethin's up with the net..." she sees Sakura typing furiously. "well shit." She sets a quick scan to run on the densai and throws herself gracelessly to a seat at one of the embassy terminals and tags into the battle.

"Shit, this's a mess already. Damn planet, everyone stealin' from everyone else and of course this kinda thing's right at home." She was pretty sure Hotaru-sama stored his porn on the section she just fried to block the attacker she'd missed on that initial sweep. Well, he couldn't actually say much about it, but she doubted she'd get any invites to court here again.

[Hotaru Jun]

Jun had stopped by to pick up a few things from his room here when the attack happened, and Sakura's yell brought him out of his room and into the closest computer terminal. "What do they expect to get from us anyways." Jun grumbled as he began his defense. "Damn storage units are mostly full of porn anyways."

Or at least that's what he assumed. Porn and probably a few recipies to take back home. Which is where he led the hackers too. They too could know 42 recipes for Crab clan Ration Crackers. It would likely do they some good."

[Usagi Rei]

Rei had been out and about, but close enough that when an alert came in, he was able to arrive quickly. He came in, a harried expression on his face, quickly finding a seat with the shared terminals.

"Do we know what's happening?" He asked as he began to work, the glow of the terminal illuminating the worried lines on his handsome features.

[Hotaru Sakura]

"Not sure about the details, but our system seems to be compromised." She deftly clicked a few commands. "Why do we have so much poooorn? When I started searching for shipping manifests, I found...something else." She scowled.

"You should check on your network too Rei-sama, just in case we're not the only ones affected."

[Hotaru Jun]

Jun chuckled at that. "When you're on the edge of the galaxy minign rocks a nice pair of tits can keep ya going, even if it's just in picture form. The ambassador here likely just collects it as a favor to the crews that stop in." Well that was the most likely explanation in his mind at least.

He frowned a bit as he noticed one of the porn stashes he had stumbled upon missing. "Sakura-san's right though." He grumbled as he moved on. "If you aren't ccareful they may steal your address book Usagi-sama."

[Usagi Rei]

"I do like being planetside." Rei murmured, smiling briefly. He frowned again as he concentrated on the task at hand.

He grunted as he began to navigate through the files. "Wow. It really does add up, huh?" He said, grimacing at his screen.

[Hotaru Tsuyo]

Tsuyo nods "I mean there's also shippin' records, contracts, prospectin' data....and it's still takes up less room than the more lurid stuff. But operating'here, Hotaru-sama's got access to some of the best stuff. Soshi illusionists are amazin' artists." She gets quiet for a moment shifting rapidly through file activity in the sector she was working on. "Think we can loop them into recordin's of the Shrine's weekly livecasts instead? " She grins and yanks a copy of the cast from last week's briefing, before flooding a drive with hundreds of copies and walling off what looked like one attackers' access there.

"Shit, they just keep poppin' up. Every hacker on the planet havin' a holiday today?"

[Usagi Rei]

"It's gotta be a coordinated thing." Rei said. "Or something that's been in the works for... months, at least. Maybe years. Or both. It could be both."

Rei blinked as a sudden thought occurred to him, his face growing a bit more pale. "Does anyone know what they're after?" He asked, voice tense as he worked.

[Hotaru Sakura]

Sakura shrugged. "Anything that can be sold on the black marke- GOT YOU YOU FUCKER!"

The lithe, petite Firefly yelled like a space sailor. "I fucking got you, I fucking got you! Think you can hide in apartment 34B/XY Torotise Butterfly, but you fucking can't. Take this!"

She hit a button to download ALL the porn onto the hacker's computer.

[Hotaru Tsuyo]

Tsuyo nodded approvingly at the tirade. Girl could hold her booze and swear with the best of them, she really was perfect for the Firefly.

That said, she also coded the address into a note for security to go smash the door of while they were distracted by their windfall.

"City of Secrets. They'll use whatever they can. If they're hittin' everyone, I doubt they have a particular secret in mind." Unless the whole operation was a feint to hide their theft of some particular big secret...but that would probably be something in a Great Clan's system.

[Hotaru Katsutoshi]

"Take THAT and party you useless pile of pyrite!" Katsutoshi was hammering some keys quite ably with his one hand. "How is everyone doing? I think we're winning this... Oh no you don't!"

There was muted grumbling and some muttered expletives as his burn routine missed trapping the intruder in his part of the system. "Damn it. Plan B then..."

[Hotaru Jun]

"Fucking newb, I hope you enjoy that recipe." Jun said laughing to himself. Why they were plentiful these cybe attacks were obviously not prepapred to meet a building full of firefly.

He did grin tough, Sakura was certainly born to be a firefly, with that language she fit right in. "Fuck I want to hack the shit out of that tortoise butterfly building now. Make all the the other tenats think that fuck molests spiny drakes or something."

"Probably should avoid illegal activity though and just go drinkign tonight instead."

[Hotaru Katsutoshi]

"Oh, drinking sounds like a great... Haha! Take this you shitbag!" Katsutoshi's lovingly crafted Shark ICE tore off after the intruder. "Mmm hmm, now that's satisfying. Everyone doing okay? I think this one's running." He punched the air and then threw down a few spoof codes just in case.

[Hotaru Sakura]

"Oi, Katsu-sama is a pro! One hand only, neh?" She hoped she wasn't stepping over any bounds, as she did mean it in a friendly way.

"Nah, let's just drop his address to the magistate's office in an anonymous note. They will have some fun with them for sure."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

Kiyoshi had taken a very long, very thorough shower after being covered in indescribable ichor at the sanctuary. He still wasn't certain he'd washed it all away when he rushed out in response to the yelling. He walked around in little more than a towel, with the Detective and Goldwing following him.

"What's going on...?"

[Hotaru Katsutoshi]

"Oi, Katsu-sama is a pro! One hand only, neh?" She hoped she wasn't stepping over any bounds, as she did mean it in a friendly way.

Katsutoshi chuckled and repeated the gesture. "Imagine the damage I could do with two!"

Kiyoshi had taken a very long, very thorough shower after being covered in indescribable ichor at the sanctuary. He still wasn't certain he'd washed it all away when he rushed out in response to the yelling. He walked around in little more than a towel, with the Detective and Goldwing following him.

"What's going on...?"

"Oh, Kitsune-sama! Thee is a data breach going on! Hackers trying to steal our data. They will be after yours too!" He hoped the Fox knew his way around a console. Or maybe the monkey did?

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Oh! Like whatever was happening at the studio?" He quickly found a terminal and logged into the Fox systems. "What would Akira-chan do...?"

Anyone who watched would assume he had no idea what he was doing. For the most part, they'd be correct. But somehow, he managed to lock the intruders out of any sensitive data, leaving them only with a few videos to watch.

One of the videos came up on his screen.



At first, it seemed like a static image. However, anyone who paid close attention would eventually see movement.
