"I worked with Miya-sama and his bot" Sumiko clarified "it looks like it's intended to either assist or replace servants? He said he received it during his visit to the Phoenix world Asakaze where he met his spouse. The Golden Frog was fantastic I agree, I've also had the Wicked Wasp and the Blue Moon. I've visited the latter but not the former. What does Otomo-sama do for fun? Is he a visitor of the night life or something else?"

She nodded to Tenma.

"I can understand that. Thankfully I have little to unpack, but there is plenty of meetings. Thus is the life of a diplomat, right?"

[Bayushi Tenma]

"A diplomat, hm? How exciting. As to me, I'm currently a magistrate for the province here."

Question answered she didn't elaborate for now, since Sumiko had asked a question to the Otomo herself in turn.

"A magistrate? How exciting! Finding evildoers and setting them to honorable behavior must be greatly rewarding." Koroshi mimed punching someone.

"But as to my own activities, I have spent the last few days being a tourist! And yes, I did go to a nightclub last night, the something Wasp, which I assumed was run by the Mantis but was actually run by the Scorpion! Very tricky the Scorpion. But it was great fun and I enjoyed most all of it, the beats, the crush, the dancing, and maybe too much drinking..."

"Ah, that must be the Wicked Wasp" Sumiko nodded "I can't say I'm so fond of being crushed, I'm very small as it is and easily missed in a crowd, but dancing and music I do enjoy. I see what you mean though about the name, mantis do eat wasps after all" she laughed "plus of course the Tsuruchi. I'll have to take time to visit now on your recommendation" she offered a respectful nod to the Imperial man.

"Maybe not tomorrow though, I hear there's a festival? "

[Bayushi Tenma]

Tenma visibly shivered as they talked about it but soon composed herself to follow the conversation, "Nothing big. Some sporting competitions followed by hanabi. Festivities more than a full festival. I hear they're even taking sign-ups for visiting samurai who wish to participate in a oshidama tournament, if the weather holds. Which I'm totally game for, even if I haven't played the sport outside of a few pickup games back at the dojo; I'll never pass up an excuse to compete and work up a sweat."

[Otomo Koroshi]

"This one has never played oshidama, though he did see a strange anime about it involving a dog who could play the game." Koroshi said in a ponderous tone. "Perhaps that was a fever dream though, as I cannot remember the name of the series. And have not often thought of dogs who could play sports."

"But turning to other matters," the Otomo continued after trailing off for a second thinking about dogs. "I do not miss festivals or festivities! It is important and honorable to celebrate the glories of the people and the Empire. Besides, hanabi is fun to watch."

"I've never seen nor played oshidama before, I'm not certain I'll join in the game but the festival will be wonderful. Even if from what I understand it has a very unusual origin behind it" Sumiko chuckled "shooting fireworks is safer than guns though. Well, kind of. Still wouldn't want to be hit by one, right?"

"I can say with experience that you most certainly do not. I trust that most of the hanabi will be set off in a controlled manner though; This isn't some peasant village festival where anyone and everyone will be running around shooting things off at random. As much as I'm sure that would liven up the streets."
