[Day 2 EA] Coming Clean (Expecting)

[Yūrei]

"Yes, I do," she says, Koyuki's gaze doesn't shift in the slightest. Just focused exactly in the same position when their eyes met that brief moment. Shifting forward in the pool slightly she manages to maintain the position of her focus. Arms coming up to rest upon the cross of her legs just by where the thigh meets the knee. "And I think, Yurei-san. You have a much better idea of what I actually mean."

Politely"Perhaps Kuni-sama, but I learnt a long time ago that sometimes it's rude to know too much. I can only hope that what I think and you mean are one and the same."

Propping her arms up behind her head and smiling quietly
"Perhaps you mean that I seem unusually witty, personable and good-looking. Which would not be a bad thing to be described as."

[Kuni Koyuki]

"I understand your hesitation, Yurei-san. However, you must understand that if this conversation is to continue with you being so careful in my presence I will grow very tired of it, very fast. I will not chase you from this place and strike you down in the street like a dog, I would like to believe our society has evolved a little bit beyond that," but, with the way she spoke she did not seem to suggest that she believed it was anywhere near such a rosy future. No, she was very aware. Sliding down a little bit more into the water she let it reach over her shoulders and sat there for a moment before rising again.

"That is exactly what I meant, Yurei-san. A woman like you does not often last long," she says, relaxation settling over her once more.

Her face breaks into a wide smile despite her best efforts.

"That is kind of you, although I am not sure you could catch me, I'm fast on my feet when I have to be. That's how a woman like me has lasted so long. Well that and good luck."
Raising and dropping a hand with a small splash
"I know many Crab samurai prefer to speak more directly. But you know what they say about assumptions..."

Relaxing a bit, her tone now more casual
"So, have you been enjoying your time on the Planet? I hope the parties have lived up to your standards? If you're in here now then they must have been quite vigorous? I'm a bit of a partygoer myself, or I was until work started getting in the way."

"So far I've been carried away too much by the ease of numbing myself with alcohol," she says with a unrestrained groan as she lay her head back down again. Sighing wishfully as the pain yet wracks her head, even if it's settled a bit. "This bath won't cut it, I don't think. Working.. somewhat," she sighs again and lets that note sit for a moment.

"Do you have any places to suggest, Yurei-san? I wouldn't mind knowing a bit more about where I can make all the worst decisions of my life," she said, a sardonic quality of her voice seeping in.

“Well, you’re on the right planet for that Kuni-Sama. I’m sure you already know the Golden Frog and the Wicked Wasp? They’re both the thing for classy gatherings these days.”

With a smile
“But if you want to make some real bad life decisions I suggest any of the parties Soshi Kazumi-Sama hosts in the Pear Blossom Dome. They don’t give a lot of notice so you have to be in the know. But if you are the music and the company is as good as it gets, and it’s real.”
Pause
“And the booze is pretty cheap if either don’t live up to your standards. I could put in a word, if you’d like?”

"I.. think I was at the Wicked Wasp last night. I admit, I do not recall because I merely followed the sound of the music and crowds until I found such a place I was looking for. Hardly cared for knowing the name. Though Golden Frog does not sound familiar.. but equally possible," she gives a slight shrug, daring to test how it affected her balanced equilibrium that she was painstakingly maintaining. She was fine.

With the name there was perhaps a look of confusion, as her brow knit curiously. It was, however, recognition that dawned across her. "Please do, Yurei-san. I would be curious to see how that would play out. What are Soshi Kazumi's parties like?"

Yūrei looks a little impressed, the look communicating that she assumes this Kuni is clearly not afraid to get her party on. Or maybe she was a raging alcoholic? Or both? It was the World of Dreams after all and alcohol can guarantee a dreamless night.

"They're loud, cramped, tiring and can go on too long."
Smirking
"And they're also amazing, Kazumi-sama's music is fresh, you're hearing local soul. You can meet anyone there and have a good time. And they're probably as decent a Scorpion as you can expect to meet."

"This is the first I have been outside of Crab space. While I might have seen from other clans in our home territory, I am almost certain there is something different about it out here. That local soul" the phrase sounded foreign on her tongue, "you reference. Sounds like it's a perfect kind of place to get yourself lost in for a night, I look forward to the opportunity."

Pausing for a moment.

"And hypothetically, if people there are using illicit substances and being casual, you wouldn't feel any need to inform the local magistrates?"

"Hypothetically, I would leave such a thing to those whom are tasked with the duty of curbing that sort of behavior. It would not be my place to intercede on their behalf, and I loathe doing extracurricular activities that I will not receive benefit nor commendation for," she says, as if reading off a script floating around in her head. There were the slightly darker tones in her voice, that although a little bit creepier in the wrong context seemed to imply amusement.

"I would, however, find it an upsetting occasion if I was invited in as if a test before being allowed to truly partake of such an event," she says, sliding up to meet Yurei's gaze. Intent, conveyed.

"Oh no, nothing like that Kuni-sama. If you're in, you're in. Tests kind of go against the whole principle of having a fun night out. Plenty of folks turn up for the party and don't drink anything stronger than the outrageously expensive soda water. On the World of Dreams half of us are probably stopping by before going onto our next life or death job."

Raising her hands.
"Kestrel's honour."

"I suppose we shall see what the Kestre's honor is worth then," she remarks, with no smirk or rise to her voice. However, despite those markers missing it almost certainly seemed like it was intended as a bit of a tease. A unmistakably intimidating kind of tease, but a tease. Stretching out her back before she rose, Koyuki limbered up her limbs a little with subtle movements as to not be untoward.

"Perhaps, then, Yurei-san it is time I finally got out of this bath."

"I'll linger a little longer, it's going to be a busy day."
Bowing her head respectfully, impressed with the Crab's workout routine.

"Blessings be upon you Kuni-sama, I'm sure I will see you again soon."

Koyuki rises out of the water. Collecting up her towel she wraps it around herself, with no great rush as she does not seem to care to hold concern of the wandering eye. However, she dutifully wraps as to maintain modesty and respect. Yet the presence the woman holds, one might wonder if the latter of those two was something she could lose.

Looking back to Yurei she offers her a nod, "It was my pleasre, Yurei-san. Do take all the time you can afford. You almost certainly have earned it," and she promptly made her exit.
