(D2, EA, Expecting) Ronin Calling

[Dai]

The ronin nods along though does not yet speak agreement as he ponders and scrutinizes one last time.

(D2, EA: Commerce unskilled - is he leaving money on the table | 4k4 ⇒ 28 (TN: ?) - Does this seem like a final offer or is she expecting him to push for more)

[Susumu Sumiko]

As far as the man could read, this may be the best he would get. If the girl was doubting her offer it certainly didn't show in her smile and confident look.

[Dai]

Finally Dai nods, "It seems we are in agreement then, Susumu-sama. Once the initial payment is made I will get started on the task."

[Susumu Sumiko]

Sumiko smiled warmly.

"Give me a moment" she took out the data stick that she had copied off and handed that back to Dai, before moving out of the room with her computer. A couple minutes later she returned, carrying a small package. She held it out.

"For you, the first payment as well as two targets are inside. If you are feeling brave you can attempt the embassy first, although I suspect that will be heavier guarded, so the second target may be a better one. I believe in you Dai-san, don't let me down."

[Dai]

Not an unexpected set of targets, all things considered.

He nods, "The first will likely require more preparation time but the second seems like it could happen soon. You will not be disappointed either way."

[Susumu Sumiko]

"I know I won't. Seeing how you performed in the Desolation showed me that."

She took out her communicator, pulling a number up and holding it out.

"My contact details, I think it would be important to stay in contact" she smiled at him "we're partners now, so if you come into any trouble you can reach me and I'll see about making it go away."

[Dai]

Dai pulls out his communicator and enters the number, sending it a quick message to make sure he had it correct... and also thus providing her with his own.

"I appreciate that. Though... uh... as far as subterfuge goes you likely don't want me calling if things go badly."

[Susumu Sumiko]

There was a nod as the message was received, and she added a name to the number in her communicator.

"Of course not, at least not digitally Dai-san" Sumiko said with a chuckle "I meant in general. However, I like to operate on the safe spot method for more sensitive topics, so if you have a few safe spots to leave a paper note I can always check there."

[Dai]

He nods, somewhat relieved he had not entered into a deal with a complete novice, "Of course, Susumu-sama."

[Susumu Sumiko]

"Please, call me Sumiko. We are partners right?" Sumiko smiled at the man "is there anything else I can assist with, Dai-san?"

[Dai]

"Sumiko..." It was definitely a novel and strange experience, "Right. I think you have done more than enough so far Sumiko-sama. Uh... thank you for this opportunity." He still wasn't entirely sure the offer was genuine but first few coins were at least real.

[Susumu Sumiko]

"I believe in you Dai-san. I know you'll prove my belief correct" Sumiko gave the man a respectful bow "I look forward to hearing the results. Let me show you out, the corridors are all very similar here."

[Dai]

A slight morbid chuckle, "Well, if I disappoint I'll likely be dead. So no worries there." He returns the bow and follows the small Spider through the halls.

[Susumu Sumiko]

"Then don't" Sumiko said simply with a smile as they reached the front of the embassy.

"Have a good rest of the day and keep me updated."

[Dai]

Dai bows once more, "Of course, Sus... Sumiko-sama."

The ronin then makes his departure.

Sumiko gave the man another bow, watching him leave with her signature smile. Only returning back to the embassy once the man was out of sight.

Don't let me down Dai. I won't hear the end of it otherwise...
