[D10 MM] Before The Storm, Figuratively Speaking

[Matsu Hide]

“What else do they do?” Hide tilted her head to he side, having given Eriko a curious look. Was this another question she should know the answer to? Probably.

[Matsu Eriko]

Eriko would smile sly before beckoning her closer for something. She would get to an intimate distance from her ear to whisper something that she had in mind. "They...make sure that there's something for breakfast in the morning. We kind of ran out of instant congee yesterday and with everything happening and going on, there wasn't really a chance to hit the grocery market..."

[Matsu Hide]

Hide was still for a good few seconds. That wasn’t what she was expecting when she leaned in. Not one bit. But, it was kind of funny to her, enough so that as she pulled away she couldn’t help but snort out a laugh. “Okay, I guess we can go out and get some breakfast since we are so lacking.”

[Matsu Eriko]

"Go out for breakfast?" She sighed and leaned more into Hide until she was resting her head on her shoulder. "It's honestly too early to get ready and dressed. I should still be in bed at this hour. I was kind of hoping to have some breakfast here, actually. You could make a run and nab something for me. Do you think the embassy would let you walk around in those pants? That might be grounds for instant promotion."

She looked down at said pants with a smirk before something dawned on her. "...Hey, here's an idea...Do you think we can get sushi for breakfast?"

[Matsu Hide]

“Sushi? You think they even prep it this early?” Hide looked down at her pants and sighed. “Well, I guess I can put something else on and go get us something. I doubt it would look good on me to walk around the embassy in my pajama pants.”

[Matsu Eriko]

"I'm sure there's somewhere we could get sushi this early. Besides, it's never too early or too late on the World of Dreams. Our morning must be half the city's night, somewhere. If you can get yourself a Nari-chan pillow replacement delivered to you in the middle of the night, I'm sure asking for sushi being sent to you right now is a pretty short order." She said as she let go to Hide and tried to reach for her communicator on the side of the bed so that she could start looking for places to get said sushi.

"...That said. I kind of like the idea of seeing you at the embassy rocking those pants." She brought up the idea with a growing grin. "I'm pretty sure with all of that rice and fist, Chiyo would so very much approve and instantly become your biggest fan!"

[Matsu Hide]

“She might also try and bite my legs!” Hide slumped back down on the bed and rolled onto her back. “Then again, some bites are affectionate.”

After a moment, Hide looked over to Eriko. “What kind of sushi do you like best? Like I’m down for anything normally. I even had that Unicorn style sushi before. I think it was called gimbap or something like that.”

[Matsu Eriko]

Seeing as Hide was laying back down, Eriko was going to do just that with a happy sigh. She supposed they couldn't stay in bed forever, especially with crazy the day was going to turn out. Brushing some of her hair off of her face after she laid down, she would look to Hide with a mischievous smirk on her face. "If you're saying that I should start gnawing on you, that's a bit weird...but I'd totally do it if that's what you want..."

She giggled after that thought. "Gimbap? I haven't tried that before, so we could give that a go. Honestly, I was thinking of something in a roll, probably some eggs and some fish. Definitely on the fish. Nothing with too much sauce. Actually, I haven't had ikura in forever. Might be a bit more fancy but it's what I'm craving!"

[Matsu Hide]

Hide didn’t quite expect that from Eriko. She couldn’t keep the red rising to her cheeks, but she tried to play it off in a cool and flirty way. “Well… I’m definitely not opposed.”

“As far as the sushi goes… Gimbap is just a different kind of roll. The ones I had as a kid were a bit bigger and there was one with a fried cutlet in it? It’s been a long time. My youngest brother and I would go out into town with my mother a lot after my two older brothers started schooling. She was a Moto before marrying into the Matsu, so I guess it was a comfort food.”

Hide turned her attention up to the ceiling, now very hungry. “Eggs sound good in general. I’m gonna get some tamago sushi. Find any place good to order from?”

[Matsu Eriko]

Eriko blinked at Hide's response and smirked at her, definitely seeing the red on her cheeks. "I didn't know. All you have to do is ask now, then." She gave her a mischievous and suggestive waggle of her brows at that.

"...but, it has to be after we decide on food first." She nudged Hide a few times to get back on track. "Hm, sure, let's get some of this gimbap. You can't exactly talk to me about food and not make good on it, after giving me a whole song and dance about it! I guess we're both in agreement when it comes to eggs, it just feels appropriate for breakfast, too. I know that Turbo Sushi delivers. They aren't exactly great on quality but I guess we can get it in 30 minutes. That's good but might leave you craving for some actual good sushi. Plus, they don't do ikura, that's a shame. There's Funaki's, but...it's so popular that it might take a while to deliver."

[Matsu Hide]

"Well, depends on how hungry you are and if you're willing to wait for better quality stuff. Like how long is the wait for Funaki's? We talking like an hour?" Hide picked up her own communicator to check the time. "Not like we have plans until later, anyway. We can get the equipment later in the afternoon and be good."

[Matsu Eriko]

"Probably an hour...Ugh, too long!" Eriko said on an uncertain note as she was honestly getting more hungrier by the moment just thinking about that delicious sushi. "Well, I guess you're right about plans. I've really opened up my entire day, although I wish I could just spend the afternoon restaurant hoping with you. I have to tug on some sleeves to see if any of them will turn a blind eye to passage for six through the border. It's going to be a long day just talking to people and buttering them up."

She nodded grimly at that with purpose on her expression. "...And that makes this morning sushi all the more important."

[Matsu Hide]

“Well, if you’re craving sushi that much, let’s just get some of the cheaper stuff to start with. Then, later, I can go out and get you some ikura. Y’know, the ‘why not both’ approach?” Hide rolled over onto her side to face Eriko, her amused expression quite obvious. “It’s gonna be a big day, so an extra sushi treat is totally fine.”

[Matsu Eriko]

Eriko smiled sheepishly on that note and moved to face her on the bed. She gave her a quick peck on the lips and grinned. "Sorry, I guess I'm just being a bit grouchy for not having my morning tea either. But you have the best idea for it: Why not both? We're going to need all that sushi and then some." She grinned.

"...maybe not too much, don't want to be fighting on a whole stomach or anything." She chuckled.

[Matsu Hide]

Hide smiled after the kiss, but it couldn’t last too long, as someone had to provide the caffeine. So she sat up again. “Well, you can order us the sushi for breakfast while I get us some tea. Do we still at least have some tea around? Or is that all gone, too?”

[Matsu Eriko]

Eriko laid on her side with one elbow propping herself up.

"I'm pretty sure that breakfast, rice, noodles..." She narrowed her eyes as she tried to think of something else that was in abundance around here. "...Air is going to run out sooner than tea being gone around here. I made sure to stock this place up while you were touring. I think me starting the day without tea is bound to get someone kicked or punched, which I wouldn't put the Lion through that situation. Probably bad enough they had to write me up once when I was in the Crab."

[Matsu Hide]

"Hah! That must have been the situation, then. I didn't think the Crab would write up something like that unless you broke a Hida's nose or something." Hide easily found a stockpile of tea while she also started up with heating enough water for the two of them. "Which, admittedly, I would be amused seeing. Especially if they were like... Massive."

[Matsu Eriko]

"Admittedly, it was a number of things that got me to that mood and not just the lack of tea. It was a punching every object in the hallway kind of day. Sometimes a person ends up looking very much like a vending machine or a trashcan along the way. Not my fault, just an honest mistake! Kind of wish the other person was a bit more understanding." She laughed before growing a bit serious. "It was only a one-time thing, I don't want you thinking that your wife is a delinquent or anything."

[Matsu Hide]

“Vending machine damage is something I’ve been written up for before, so I getcha.” Hide raised an eyebrow at her wife as she turned back to face her. “Well, I do recall you were rooting for that delinquent-stylized wrestler back on Asakaze. Not that makes you one.”

[Matsu Eriko]

Eriko narrowed her eyes on her for a moment before hassling herself to sit up finally. "I don't know what you're implying, lady...but I've been a Delinquent Club fan for a few years now. That was back when they had other members before they did their own thing. Well, Hiruma Kazuo is still kicking around there too, even if he or less grew out of that roster pretty quickly and is very underrated. They probably don't have much of an idea to do with him sadly enough. He probably should have been champion two times in a row now if he wasn't so lousy at speaking. So yeah, I'm very much a Delinquent Club fan for life."
