The servants led Sakura up to the room, who was holding a bag of Schrodinger's cloth. Was it spine drake leather maybe?!!!!!

No, of course it was not spine drake leather.

But something else.

She bowed deeply. "Hello Asahina-samaaa." She subconsciously mimicked his manner of greeting.

"Thank you for this great opportunity!"

The duel of Manual and Hinata interrupted, the singer/shugenja/professional derp jumped up to welcome her, causing the hat of his blue trimmed, white sailor suit to be dislodged.

"Hotaru-samaaa! Hi . . . ack!"

He managed to grab his hat before he flung it across the room. Just.

Sakura raised a hand in front of her mouth as she giggled. "Asahina-sama is always full of energy, it's a wonder really."

Maybe he's on drugs, a cynical part of Sakura's ronin-brain thought.

"I hope Asahina-sama enjoyed the party the other day?"

Plonking his hat back on his head . . . and then making sure it was at the right angle, he was a Crane after all, Hinata grinned and waved Sakura over to the machine.

"Oh it was great. The Mantis Embassy is soooo cool!"

"Asahina-sama was so cooooool at the concert!" She carefully sat down, looking at the machine that might save her life. Or looks, at least.

"With the Lord Magistrate??? Oh wow. Well couturier-sama can certainly help with that. Wait until you see what he made me for the Pageant tonight!!!!"

Hinata then picked up the manual like it was nuclear fuel or something.

"This tells you how to use it but it's sooooo complicated. Much easier once you know how. The cloth goes here." He pointed at the very obvious fabric intake openings. "But we need to set up the . . . . parameters of your requirements . . . ."

Obviously reciting from memory . . . or manual.

Sakura accepted the manual, and started looking it over. "Hm...I see. Oh, what a clever algorithm. Oh, this is truly genius. Sheer elegance in its simplicity!"

Those words meant absolutely nothing to Hinata.

"Couturier-samaa is really good at guessing what will look good. Oh, it will need to scan you for measurements. I can't remember what step it does that though."

Sakura leafed through the booklet, nodding along. "Wow, Asahina-sama and the Crane are truly wonderful." She bowed deeply. "And so generous. Okay, so I feed the clothe in..." She raised the Schrodinger's cloth into the machine.

"Now...measurements. I should strip, I assume?"

Hinata hadn't when he used it . . . but he tended towards tight or even skin tight clothes.

"Oh . . . I don't know. Maybe enough that Couturier-sama can get the shape right?"

Sakura looked down at her stick figure of a figure. "Mhm....maybe I'll just hold my clothes tight, or..." She sighed.

She stood up, and looked nervously around at Hinata. "If it's not a problem Asahina-sama, I'll just get this over quickly?"

He looked at her blankly before conditioned Crane manners kicked in.

"Oh! Ok, I'll be outside, shout when you're done!"

He jumped up and traipsed out of the room into the corridor and stared out the window.

While Hinata was distracted by looking at cloud that looked like a bird trying to be a cloud, Sakura quickly undressed and got her measurements, hastily dressed back and called out.

"I'm ready! Feel free to come back Asahina-sama."

When (if) the Crane comes back Sakura bows once again. "This looks so cool! I just...I am really honored Asahina-sama!"

"Oh did you see that cloud???? Looked totally like a falcon!!!! Awww it went behind that skyscraper."

He flounced back in, upset the pretty cloud had disappeared.

"It looked like it was ready to pounce on the cloud below it too!!!!"

he'd obviously completely forgotten why they were here already.

"Oh? Wow, sounds cool! Did you take a picture?"

Sakura beamed.

And sat there awkwardly. Coutererererer-samaaaaaaaaa was busy doing his work.

He grinned.

"So is this a date with the Lord Magistrate? Or are there other boys you like?" He puzzled a moment, proving he wasn't absolutely a space cadet. "or girls?"

"Ah, Asahina-sama is an expert!" She clapped in admiration.

"Ano..I wouldn't think so? Yoritomo-sama and myself are both invited, so unless he wants to have a threesome suddenly, I wouldn't think so." She shrugged, not ruling out that that was the plan. Scorpion nobles, you know.

She started blushing. "I...erm...I mean, there are lots of handsome and pretty people here...is there anyone Asahina-sama has his eyes on?"
