[D8, MM, open] Outrun the heat

[Hitoko]

Hitoko, clad in the black tank and copper-colored short-shorts she'd worn for the oshidama tournament, but with her hair rather more carefully put together, goes for an extended jog through the Diplomatic District this morning. A native of this world, she's seen it all before and knows a few places to cut through in support of her image as some low-level diplomat out for a jog before the day's heat really sets in. Aided by predictions of a sweltering day, she gets the best kind of cover for her work: other functionaries of various clans out for similar efforts at physical activity before outdoor activity becomes untenable.

It's still more than warm enough for the young woman to work on a glistening sweat as she loops through the district, significant portions of those loops wrapping around a particular location...

[Yogo Ono]

Ono found himself in a weird position of not having to fake his identity for once, since he was a Scorpion functionary, technically. That meant that only his pale patches needed to be covered...

Screw this! Let's swim. After all, I just need to goofy around and work out. He smiled and said the magic word. He decided to look like a courtier.

When he was done he was looking like a random low-ranking dignitary and he started working out with a skateboard and a bike.

He fell lots of time and the skateboard was of course trashed in the process. The camera Jun had installed on his helmet did most of the job by recording stuff around.

[Hitoko]

After a couple of her slightly unpredictable loops took her past the Scorpion who seemed to be... Trying to draw a crowd with his antics? He's clearly no great athlete - Yeah, and neither are you - but Hitoko pauses for a time to observe, and even applauds a little when one of the man's tricks lands successfully.

At a lull in the display, Ono checking his equipment, Hitoko sidles closer, arms crossed in front of her. "Do you do this, ah, show often, Scorpion-sama?" It's a lighthearted question, curious rather than mocking.

[Yogo Ono]

The ronin's question prompted a smile.

"Not as often as I should." He replied.

"Blessings of kami to you and yours. This one is Yogo Ono, a mediocre skater." He introduced himself and bowed.

[Hitoko]

Hitoko bows, a degree deeper in respect of her station, and smiles as she straightens. "Yogo-sama's kindness and humility are both notable. This one is Hitoko, a mediocre..." She pauses, careful not to give too much away. "A mediocre runner," she finally says, grinning.

"You seemed to have no trouble drawing a crowd, mediocre or not," she suggests warmly.
