[D11 LE] To The Victors

[Matsu Eriko]

Once Hide's choice was done, Eriko was quick to go back to fiddling with the karaoke-pod machine's control to find the next song on their list. As mentioned previously, she was going to do an encore to their first duet on Asakaze. It seemed like a fair time to call back on that moment. She let the sly beat play out in the beginning with the finger-snapping, looking at the attendee to see if it run a bell. It seemed Eriko thought she made a clever song choice for some reason as she asked if anyone recognized the song, "Eh? Eh? Anyone?"

She looked to Hide and grinned. "Should we switch parts or did you want me to take guy parts like last time?"

[Usagi Rei]

Rei nodded recognition of the song at least; he spent enough time in bars and clubs to recognize anything popular from the last five to ten years.

However, while he wasn't quite at Doctor Badass levels of cynicism, he at least pretended indifference to anything that was too popular. And so his applause was fairly measured as they started up.

[Yūrei]

Yūrei's applause is muted only by it mainly being yelling into Sakura's shoulder as she raises a fist and sways in time with the music.

“Whatever feels right to you, Eriko.” Hide tapped her foot to the song, looking to the audience for a suggestion perhaps?

"Do I Wanna Dance With Somebody! That's the one that's the song for dancing like nobody's watching."

"That's the only way I'll dance." Rei murmured with a smirk to no one in particular.

Reki smiled mischievously and hooked her arm through his. "Well we are here to have fun Usagi-san...neither of us sing but...."

Rei looked at her, smiling, even as he groaned. "I think I've just been outflanked." He said, shaking his head.

He turned his head to look at her. "I'm worried about the nicknames you might have for me after you've seen me dance..." On the other hand, this wasn't a refusal...

"I seem to recall you leap in feet first." Reki pulled him up, "Besides..." She leans in and whispers, "...your dance partner here is almost assuredly worse."

She looks to the Matsu. "Take it away ladies!"

He was used to Scorpion women trying to get him to dance, who he could usually deflect with a bit of clever repartee. Not determined Lionesses. And besides... he kinda wanted to dance with Reki. And so, arm in arm, he went with her to the open space in front of the machine.

"I hope you're ready." He murmured to her as he paused, waiting for the Matsu couple to get into things.

Another quiet whisper between the two, "You have to dance better then you shoot right, Rei-san," She winks at him and kicks off her heels and a bit louder, "I'm Akodo, we are always ready."

As it turned out, he was not better at dancing than he was at shooting. But, encouraged by the music, and his partner, he managed to at least start off well enough, a fairly basic shuffle more or less in time with the music, his eyes on Reki as he did so.

Reki smirked, "Naomi-chan taught me a few tricks..." The tricks she referred to were clearly not dancing.... The Lioness matched the Hare's shuffle, holding her hands limply at chest height and shuffling on her feet.

The scene was pretty bad, embarrassing really...but Reki didn't care. She was having fun, the cat ears whirring on her head excitedly.

It might have been the drink or it might have been her being rusty in her rendition, or maybe she wasn't she wasn't used to her particular part. But Eriko...was not great and she might have realized this halfway to her singing before she just merely defaulted to the familiar chorus. That was the easy part, right?

"I'm Trou-ou-ou-ouble! Trouble! Trou-trouble maker!" She would unintentionally boom into the microphone, that was something she needed to work on too...

Meanwhile, Hide was surprisingly a better singer the more she drank. Of course she may have been trying to show off just a tad for her wife.

Because of course Hide would show off in front of Eriko. That was her entire thing the last game, more or less.

She pecks Sakura on the cheek before jumping up placing her own glass on a table and heading to the dancing.

For his part, Rei was pumping his arms, twisting one leg at a time from time to time as she shifted his balance from hip to hip.

Still, when he looked at Reki, eyes flicking between her funny hand thing and her cat ears, he couldn't help but grin. "I think we match pretty well." It was about fifty percent compliment, fifty percent tease, but there was no mistaking that Rei was enjoying himself as he did his weird twisty dance.

He did pause a moment, blinking at the skillfully spinning Yurei, before resuming.

Eriko would grin at Hide as she got into the song. Oh, she knew that she wasn't getting outdone but perhaps pleasant that she was able to join her on this rendition to make it fun...or at least tolerable.

"Ah-ah-trouble maker!" She would finish off the song so that others could have time with the machine but suddenly seeing all of the dancing made her a bit wary, almost like they had caught her weakness somehow. Would it be better to sing all night rather than join in the dancing?

She would slowly turn to Hide before she got any bright ideas and she had to nip this in the bud. "I'm going to need to get pretty smashed before anything like that happens..."

[Hotaru Sakura]

Sakura let out a whoop at Yurei's dancing.

"Go babe! She smiled at Rei and Reki dancing, and took a sneaky (blurry) picture with her communicator.

Holding Yurei's drink as well as her own...she took another sip from both.

Still for Reki it wasn't a competition, just some friends...she paused again and smiled at that.

Careful Reki-chan, people might start think you are something horrible...like someone who knows how to have fun.

That would be horrible Naomi-chan.

Reki laughed and resumed her 'dancing'.
