Uninterrupted By Fireworks (D3, EE. Closed)

[Susumu Yakumo]

Yakumo was the type of performer who was mostly focused on herself as she performed - focusing on projecting the emotions along with the words, but still she did her all to keep her eyes on Koyuki - gauging her reaction to the song, and the words. But once the music came to an end, she could now fully look at her.

Without breaking the silence yet, she slid back down to the seating area, this time next to Koyuki. "Passionate enough for you?" she murmured, leaning n slightly.

There was no inner voice chiding her, no typical reminder of how stupid this was. Just silence. Those amethysts of eyes so close, the allure of the slight sheen of her lips. There was a different kind of haze settling over the world where everything beyond her focus seemed to lose importance. Just the one central point, the woman before her. Leaning up, in matching the same commitment there as Yakumo to a closeness.

Koyuki's hand dares upward, coming to rest gently upon Yakumo's cheek. Meeting her eyes, she returns in like, "That was beautiful."

Most people would probably have some sort of panic attack to have a Kuni touching them, but for now Yakumo just leaned gently into the touch. "I'm glad you like it," she murmured, sounding pleased and maybe a touch relieved.

Now.. what ever would Moriko think? You sly-

Shut, up.

Koyuki blinks, her hand stiffening against Yakumo a moment. Glancing away from Yakumo's eyes only briefly down to her cheeks, not fully breaking contact and yet giving herself the chance to soothe herself with a breath. When she looks back up to meet the woman looking back at her it just happened.

Koyuki noticed the placement of her hand first, the pressure it now felt from resisting gravity's pull on her body. Touch of hair in the other hand, the warmth of a breath not her own on her upper lip, eyes closed to the world. Just the overwhelming presence of the woman opposite her. Lips parting away again, Koyuki's gaze traced the barest smudge from Koyuki's own left behind. Shifting her attention back to Yakumo focusing on those impossibly beautiful orbs that looked back at her.

Vibrant crimson stained Yakumo's paler pink-hued lips. A touch of white also stood out on her likewise pale skin. Shoulders rose elegantly as she breathed in deeply, lingering in the scent of the other woman.

"... Do you trust me more now?" she asked in hush tones, eyes seeking hers and what truth might lie there, as she waited for an answer.

Muddied emotions, there was a distance that came over her at the question. A pain, hidden in those eyes. She couldn't conceal it because she was focusing so hard on not looking away. It was a struggle, one that took her no short amount of time but always appeared to be arriving. In the distance a firework went off higher than the others, the colors flashed faintly across her visage.

Finally, "I want to.." but she couldn't, she couldn't bring herself to. How could she really trust anyone? Even a little bit, just give someone a little bit of trust and you're already lost. She didn't say it, but it was a pain that was hard to miss if you've seen it before.

"But you can't because...?" she asked, leaning in closer and shifting her position to allow for her arms to slide over Koyuki's shoulders.

Yakumo saw something there in her eyes, in her face. Maybe not with pinpoint accuracy, but there was something there that felt familiar. "... do you think I will hurt you?"

Conflict. Those eyes shifted very clearly toward that internal conflict within the question, a slight darting every other breath as if she couldn't decide where to focus while she tried to think. Arms resting over her shoulders became as much a cage as they were inviting. Locked into position she froze. Koyuki bit her own lip, hard. Hard enough that the bite drew blood to the surface and ruined fully the clean mark of lipstick but didn't break the skin. Just enough pain to bring her back into focus.

"Don't ask me that," she said, but her voice broke. Holding none of that same grit, nor steel, within the spirit.

"Why not?" the words were surprisingly blunt, coming from here, without the teasing that so often accompanied her voice. Instead there was something like concern echoing in them.

Yakumo saw the stain of red, and one hand moved back, across Koyuki's shoulder once more - and up to her face. With a gentle touch, the thumb covered by a black silken glove touched against the red, wiping it as one would wipe someone's tears away.

"I thought you wanted to meet again, so we could speak more openly. More at ease. Is this not such a place?"

That gentle touch may as well have been the heaviest iron shackles in the world when it came to doing anything physically. Run away? Push forward? It wasn't a matter of something physical, Koyuki long had the understanding that if it came to anything physical she could probably have overpowered Yakumo with ease. Yet, that was so far from what restrained her. Anything that would disturb that touch felt like she would be struck down for simply thinking to attempt the action, it simply wasn't something she was allowed to do.

Warmth rose in her chest, behind her ears, and the full of her face that was almost totally covered by white paint. Pulse quickened, eyes dilated, she found an intense focus overcome her right here and right now. Tomorrow suddenly ceased to exist and yet..

"Yes-" her voice hitched. "But not that. I- you don't know what you're asking. I wanted- want.."

Indeed, the spider seemed frail and probably would not be able to put up a fight - but she did seem to have entrapped Koyuki somewhat in her delicate webs.

"Shhh..." the thumb against the red lips were exchanged for her index finger. "Take your time, dear. Find the words. Don't stress them." It was an oddly comforting tone she spoke in, perhaps a bit like a sweet poison of comfort or understanding.

"You can speak freely to me here."

That slight pressure, the presence of the index against her lips was overpowering in its way. Koyuki's eyes searched the space in front of herself, only finding Yakumo. Eyes, nose, cheek, chin, lips, all places her eyes briefly traveled as she took that pause between them just as Yakumo had instructed. There were so few things on her mind, so few things that rang out as true in the moment as any other, and yet- she still tried to get in her own way.

Because you're pathetic, aren't you? Run toward just to run away. What a foolish game you play.

And then Yakumo came back into focus, Koyuki's eyes happening onto Yakumo's own. A soft, short inhale created the only sound in that brief pause. Eyes cast down toward her lips, a preamble to a womans hopes and desires. Voice held on the softest of breath as if to be anything other than private and warm was to invite the moment to break and blow away like so many leaves.

"I just want you to kiss me."

Sometimes, words were a waste of time, for only actions mattered. This was one such instance where that was quite true, and Yakumo knew it. The hand still over Koyuki's shoulder pressed encouragingly against the nape of the Kuni's neck, while the fingers at her lips traced a path down to the painted chin - marking its passage in the snowy white surface there - to bring those red lips up to meet her pink ones.

No sound but their clashing breaths now as Yakumo claimed Koyuki's lips for herself in a passionate embrace.

Sharp inhale turned into a soft murmur as Yakumo pressed in. Koyuki's steady position, how she held herself up enough to meet Yakumo's eyes, tested against the welcoming of that embrace and holding steady at first. Then, alike so many controlled demolitions before it the support slowly started to be removed. Koyuki slowly descended backward, toward the assortment of pillows that made up the sitting space upon which they found themselves. Arm bending slightly, steadily, as to not force herself away from Yakumo's grasp- and in essence almost seeking permission for it every step of the way.

Off in the distance, a host of fireworks shot too high again and exploded high in the air. High enough that the colors streaked out for miles around, briefly lighting up the interior of the room in a kaleidoscope of colors.

Koyuki would find the consent and permission in the yielding motions Yakumo had in response to her touches. The Spider did not shy away from the touches, and passionately encouraged Koyuki to give her more, to feel her more, to touch her more.

The silken touch of her gloved hands in return found the edges of Koyuki's clothes, pushing at their borders and caressing skin as it became exposed to the pleasant air of the hotel's interior.

Words were murmured between the kisses, but they were almost swallowed up by the intensity of the moment and body language had to make up for it. But they were doing a good job of that for now.
