[Kaiu Setsu]

'The Crab berserkers manifest their unique and dangerous gifts after spending some time – often months, sometimes even years – on the most dangerous worlds in the galaxy. Some berserkers call on maniacal fury to power their rages, while others enter the notorious 'dead eye' trance, but the result is the same: superhuman strength and a near-immunity to pain."

He reads the initial description of his training routine from his densai, and then sets it to the side to begin the harsh training within one of the most dangerous place he could reach, without really getting into trouble.

Then, with a loud kiai, he begins!

"HIIIIDAAAAAAAAAaarrggggghh!"

[Mirumoto Shigure]

Perhaps temples wasn't his thing or dojo, Shigure came exploring the grove. He looked to the side and chuckled as a whispered joke fell flat. He heard the cry and it came like a shock as the grove was quiet except for the whispers of the wind brought. Shigure cleared his throat loudly hopefully to be heard.

[Boogiepop]

"Holy fuck!" An approaching voice exclaimed from the adjacent path.



It seems the commotion managed to drag someone else to the clearing, a Kuni dressed in a loosely worn jumpsuit with a satchel on her shoulder. She had a holorecorder in hand and while she wasn't shooting the Kaiu directly, the active red light indicated that the recording function was on. "Sound like someone here was suffering from a really bad stroke or crying bloody murder. Shit, for a moment, I thought I was going catch a live nailing."

[Kaiu Setsu]

Setsu is caught flat-footed in his hulk-like pose as he was flexing a shirtless dad bod moments before starting his first set of exercises. Noticing it is a painted face Kuni makes much much more at confident to ask in an alarming tone of voice. "Holy damn. Have you heard the forest shout back to me?" That was in reference to the Dragon's shout since Shigure wasn't still visible to the Berserker to-be.

[Mirumoto Shigure]

As the second figure entered the grove, Shigure sighed. Hee seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I looks like a Crab reunion and the call sign was such about. The Dragon moved in between two trees and sat in saiza to try and pray.

[Boogiepop]

"What?" The Kuni said with a very clear look of disbelief on her face, her eyes just looking directly at him. "Do you mean all those wailing and groans you can hear in the wind when people aren't using this as some public community centre? I think there's some Dragon around here that's hosting Contemplate & Meditate session. Kind of weird but could be a thing. And what are you doing here?"

[Kaiu Setsu]

“I meant the shout that responded to my fierce Hida battlecry.” He says and then puts hands at hai waist scanning to find the Dragon. “But yeah, most provably that someone else shouted back instead of the spirits.”

With a sigh of disappointment, he explains, “I though I had tapped into my ‘dead-eye’ technique. Doesn’t seem to be the case. False alarm. I definitely need to train more.”

[Boogiepop]

The Kuni fiddled with the viewing screen of her holorecorder as he called before holding it into the device, seeing as there was nothing notable to record. "Are you someone with actual dead-eye berserker training?"

[Kaiu Setsu]

“I have the predatory techniques to enter that path, yeah.” He says nonchalantly, but doesn’t lie.

[Boogiepop]

The Kuni tried to give that some thought as she adjusted the strap of the satchel on her shoulder. "Kay...So, predatory techniques, then. Like, what does that even mean? Are we talking like motivational 'Dead-Eye' energy, like a weekend seminar-workshop thing where you hit the hibachi bar for some beers afterwards or are you talking about powers from a role-playing game? "

[Kaiu Setsu]

“Preparatory, I meant.” Kami damned typo that will be treated as minor dyslexia with a rub of his chin, “Which yes, include the predatory genetics of a son of a Hida mother. You being a Crab I am sure would understand. It is a long path, but very achievable with utter determination. I am talking about…” Setsu takes his Sendai again to repeat the text, “And quote, ‘superhuman strength and a near-immunity to pain’.”

He offers the densai and reconfirms, “It is official. Here. Crab certified training drills for Bushi.”

[Boogiepop]

Just when the program was shown to the Kuni, she immediately rolled her eyes and let out a rather displeased groan. "Oh, Kami...this is absolutely that seminar-program self-help bullshit. You know, if you're going to be more authentic about it, you could have at least gotten that stuff in a book. Or maybe in an inked stroll? Yeah, let's go with a scroll. The transference of ancestral energy to awaken those dormant genetics would have been a little more possible if you were to read in the same way as dead-eye berserkers of old. This is so lame, you're never going to get anything by looking at a densai! Your ancestors didn't have that back then! Get your eyes on some parchment."

[Kaiu Setsu]

He checks his densai again, looks to the Kuni and then says, after taking a deep breath, “Fuck!”

Another deep breath and he completes, “Fuck-fuckidy-fuck. You’re probably right. I have to find a scroll to tap into that maniacal chi to awaken mine.”

[Boogiepop]

The Kuni looked at him sternly, almost predicting that he was going to have that sort of reaction "Damn right about that. While you're at it, maybe you can look into getting some proper get-up so that you can do it right. Get some feudal-world handmade hakama or something. None of that mass produced Yasuki stuff from Fish. I don't know, maybe ask that Dragon I saw around here. I'm not sure if they use paper notebooks as their densai or anything. Maybe they use one of those magnetic sand-based densai?"

She gave the strap of her satchel a tug. "Anyway, I'm not going to stick around all day for you to find yourself while you're having this identity crisis, that's on you. Back to getting some sick spooky shots of this place."

With that, she strolled down the path once more as she activated her holorecorder without any giving formalities.

He provides a bow as she leaves and then he mumbles words while walking toward the Dragon, “Another fucking Kuni giving me a lecture… acting as if they knew everything in the universe just because they can detect taint and shoot green light that doesn’t do shit anymore.”

Once near the man, he bows and asks, “By any chance do you know about any place that has a feudal-world handmade hakama?”

The Dragon looked up and shook his head. "I don't know... why do you need such specific garment?" Shigure wondered why can it be a cheap replica or an modern take on it?

[Kaiu Setsu]

"I figured you wouldn't. Don't worry about it. I just want to make sure that I am covered in my training. I guess a replica suffices." He mentions with some frustration. "First time I see a Dragon samurai around these parts. I am Kaiu Setsu. Nice to meet you."

[Mirumoto Shigure]

"I am Mirumoto Shigure...maybe you should try with a Crane. I have heard that they are fashion experts... but one also might want to be a bit careful." Shigure shook his head.

[Kaiu Setsu]

"Yeah, I'm always careful with Cranes. They might drop heavy shit on you if you stand underneath when they pass above the buildings." He jokes a bit like a dad would, although he's not a dad. "I hope I didn't disturb your... what it is that you're doing here, again?"

[Mirumoto Shigure]

Shigure lightly laughed at the joke. "Meditation and prayers for the lost souls." The Dragon nodded. "I am finished with it. What about you what are you doing out here?"
