(D1, ME) If You Don't Dance...

Tsuyo had a tall, colorful glass of her regular Rainbow Moonshine close to hand as she leaned against the bar, watching the patterns of the illusions swooping overhead in time to the music. It was early yet and felt like the DJ and dancers were still in warmup mode, knowing that the real energy kicked in as the hour grew later. With the court starting up, she'd expected more people, but they were probably busy getting their plots running. She'd figure out the prime people-watching spaces soon enough, but perhaps tonight was going to be quiet. May as well get a bit of work done in the energetic ambience.
Pulling out her densai and setting it on the bar, she pulls up a sculpture image to work with, the hologram turning in the air in front of her as a shimmering skeleton of itself, cloaked in a transparent surface. Roughly urn-shaped, she began tweaking the 'skeleton' to add asymmetric bubbles, shapeing the ephemeral surface across them...maybe a bit more texture there... She was soon engrossed with the slowly turning shape, a somewhat odd sight at the end of the bar.

Dressed in a lovely cocktail dress, Hashinako finds her way to the bar section herself. The loud music wasn't necessarily... to her taste, but as her official return to public life it was necessary to make a proper appearance. A soft sigh escapes her lips. This was a lot.
Still, there was a lot happening. Including someone paying far more attention to her densai than much going on around. She slipped nearby, smirking just a bit. "Not interested in the loud music?" She asks with a light, cheery demeanor.

Not yet looking up, the Firefly answers, "can hear it just fine...gets better later in any case." Her outfit is bright. Wide-legged pants woven with a bright geometric pattern in gold, blue, and violet, soft-edged gold tunic, and long, dove-grey vest with deep pockets catch the light flickering from the dance floor holograms. A perceptive eye can see the quality of the fabric, while the bright colors speak of relatively little wear and tear. This is not a miner who wears their clothing to rags.
Turning her head to the side, she looks sideways and up to see the Scorpion, freckled face illuminated by the light of her densai as the projected object slowly spins before her. "I'm honestly a bit more fond of ballads an such, but then I'd be missing Dechen, so some energetic club pulses're just fine."
She straightens, shifting the prosthetic leg awkwardly to put weight on the other as she turns to better face Hashinako. "Hotaru Tsuyo, artist kinda in residence," she offers with as much of a bow as the bar allows. When she rises, her head tilts a bit, examining the actress. "An you're an actress from one've those show Dechen watches, yeah? So just arrived?"

"Does it, now? I'm not familiar with this particular club," she says with a smile.
"Dechen is your spouse, then?" she asks with a curious chime to her voice. "It is good to miss one's spouse, I must imagine. Better than being arranged to a spouse that one wants nothing to do with."
As Tsuyo turns to face her, she turns in return. "Shosuro Hashinako. If Dechen is familiar with Life of a Togashi, it isn't unlikely she's seen my work, then."

Show sounds familiar. She has a couple that she collected when she had better access through Imperial media." One hand snakes her rainbow-shaded drink closer, "and yep, she's my wife. But headed back to handle some tetchy finds for our cluster 6 months back. Havin' a priest on hand makes some things so much easier to figure out when you run into them while minin'."
Something mildly sympathetic crosses her face--a softening around the eyes and shift of her lips. "Yeah, there's some sorry matches out there. They don't stick together much past replacin' themselves among us, since that's a good way to get some murders when you're stuck in a wee ship for months and months. Better ta just split 'em up and pretend there's no reason for 'em ta know each other." She lifts the drink with a gaze focused elsewhere. "Here's ta the good matches, then," and takes a sip.
Tipping the glass toward the Scorpion, she adds, "You're welcome to add anythin' you like about your spouse, or lack of one....or, we'll just never speak of it again, if ya like."
"With a show like that, and not bein' familiar with the club here, I'd guess you're either not livin' on World of Dreams, or they do the holorecording and such in another district and folks maybe don't cross over much between 'em. Yeah?"
