[D1MN] Night Court? (open)

[Usagi Rei]

The steady beat of electronic music filled the air. Lights flashed. Dancers danced, amateur and professional alike, some with a goal, some without. It was a typical night at the Wicked Wasp, which meant anything could happen.

Rei sat near the fringes a drink in his hand, condensation running down the rim. He watched the dancers idly, his pale brown eyes tracing their movements without much interest. Away from the dance floor, the music was loud, but not overpowering; it would be easy enough to have a conversation without screaming yourself hoarse.

The song ended, a sudden drop in volume, filled instead by the sound of conversations now a bit too loud. "This is DJ Stingface, in the houuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse!" Some scattered cheers went up, but most people were too focused on their dancing or their partners. Or their drinks. Reminded, Rei took a sip of his, eyes closing briefly at the taste of the slightly sweet alcohol. After a moment, they flickered open again, returning to their scanning of the dancers and the crowd.

[Kuni Koyuki]

Not but a few feet away down the bar, Koyuki stood looking down at an empty glass. Though the woman's expressions were rather muted there was a slight twist that made a subtle sneer as she looked down at the glass. Setting it aside, the tender would check if she wanted another and she simply turned away from the bar. Message received, the tender sought out another customer. Glancing about the space Koyuki wondered at why she was even here, too much noise, drinks disappointing, and it was simply a veritable crowd of bodies without purpose.

She also kinda loved it.

Half-storming off she rushes her way along the edge of the bar and barely clips Rei with the whole side of her arm.

Not but a few feet away down the bar, Koyuki stood looking down at an empty glass. Though the woman's expressions were rather muted there was a slight twist that made a subtle sneer as she looked down at the glass. Setting it aside, the tender would check if she wanted another and she simply turned away from the bar. Message received, the tender sought out another customer. Glancing about the space Koyuki wondered at why she was even here, too much noise, drinks disappointing, and it was simply a veritable crowd of bodies without purpose.

She also kinda loved it.

Rei grunted at the impact, more out of surprise than anything else; after all, she'd just clipped him, not run into him. Still, in the wrong place, or with the wrong people, this could have lead to either a duel, or a lot of yelling, probably the word 'bro' shouted a few times, and awkwardly wrestling around on the ground.

Fortunately, this was not that sort of place, and Rei wasn't that sort of person. Still, a hint of concern flashed ever so briefly across Rei's handsome features before returning to his usual casual friendly smile.

"Hey, Kuni-san. You okay?" He asked, voice pitched over the ambient sound.

[Matsu Hide]

This all partially startled a nearby Matsu a tad, who was at the bar still after being served, as dancing a bit before really made her thirsty. She turned around to see Rei, a Hare, and Koyuki, a Kuni. Well, that was oddly nostalgic to the Matsu. Odd because the nostalgia was for something that happened just months ago. "Ah, excuse me, am I crowding the counter too much?"

[Kuni Koyuki]

Unlike Rei, Koyuki's voice dipped under the ambient sound first, "Shit."

Stepping back once to afford Rei space after the light impact she gave him a quick look over, making sure she hadn't caused any damage. Spilled drinks would have been rather unfortunate and she was quite glad not to find anything of the sort. With that breath of relief she nodded, "Yea. Sorry, Usagi-sama, I am alright," she says, and with only a breaths pause turns her head to Hide, "Sorry for the disturbance, samurai-sama," but her gaze lingers there a moment before snapping away back to Rei.

[Usagi Rei]

Smiling, Rei raised both his hands, some water droplets running down his sleeve. "Hey. No problem. Accidents happen." He gave a gentle head shake to the Matsu. "And no, don't worry. Plenty of space."

Taking one more quick sip, he set down his glass. "My name's Rei. Usagi Rei." He bowed to each, one at a time. "You need anything, Kuni-san? Maybe a glass of water? Hot or cold?" Turning, he waved a hand to get an attendant's attention.

[Kuni Koyuki]

"I am fine, Usagi-sama," she says, raising her hand in turn and waving off the attendant. Using her perhaps more intimidating demeanor to overpower Rei's own. With a satisfied nod she turns to Rei, bowing in turn. "Kuni Koyuki, I was headed-" she shakes her head. "Well, thank you again for your grace Usagi-sama. I should be leaving you to your evening. Not for me to be rude and interrupt."

Offering what she expected to be a final nod to Rei, and then to Hide, she was all about ready to walk off when...

[Matsu Hide]

Hide's brows rose, fumbling over herself mentally as she realized that she almost forgot to introduce herself and the Kuni was already leaving! That can't do! Hide definitely didn't want to appear cold or rude.

"Ah! Sorry! I almost spaced out there a moment." Hide gave the two a bow of her head, she rose with a grin. This Lion seemed all too oblivious to the intimidating aura the Kuni was putting out. "Matsu Hide."

[Asahina Hinata]

On the dance floor there was a whirl of blue hair as a young Crane continued to thoroughly enjoy his first few days on the planet. Now wearing a tight silver, sleeveless top with blue cranes apparently embroidered into the fabric, matching silver shorts and thigh highs, he was lost in the music for now, unawares of any shenanigans at the bar.

[Soshi Kazumi]

Coming down from the stage as Stingface took over, Kazumi had gotten a table that was held for them. It wasn't VIP but performing at the club had its perks.

Kazumi had just had a drink delivered when they noticed a small incident nearby. Huh not too many kuni on the planet they thought to themselves as they opened a slot in their mask for drinking and took a sip of clear liquid.

For now Kazumi seemed content to watch the events as they unfold rather than injecting themselves into the situation.

[Kuni Koyuki]

"Perhaps it is Matsu Hide-sama who needs the glass of water?" she suggests, expression unshifting. Shifting her body so that she included them both a bit more, at a diagonal to each, she focuses a bit more on Hide. Watching her with intent following the slight tease.

[Matsu Hide]

"Well, probably should have more water than alcohol at this point!" Hide took to the teasing quite well, her grin certainly did grow. She stood up straight as she looked down at her half-finished drink. "Last drink of the night or I might be in trouble when I get back to my room."

[Yogo Tamiyo]

It's been way too long since she's been to the Wicked Wasp, her schedule simply didn't allow it, but she really, really need a night of clean and irresponsible fun. Getting her outfit and look just right had already been a hoot and left her more than a little pleased as she winked at her mirror image before heading out.



Tamiyo obviously doesn't bother with getting in line though she beams a friendly smile at the waiting hopefuls as bouncers usher her in. 'Can't wait to see you inside!'

Seriously. Been way too long! She grins impishly as she makes her way to the dancefloor and flips open her com.

[Asahina Hinata]

The silver, shiny, short Crane spiralled out of the dance crowd and bounced over to the bar with a happy smile. A smile which didn't even falter at seeing the distinctive face of a Kuni. Kuni were Crab. Crab had said bad things about him. . . . . . . Nah, he'd already forgotten about that anyway.

Instead the small Crane tried to get the bar staffs attention and a drink.

"Well, probably should have more water than alcohol at this point!" Hide took to the teasing quite well, her grin certainly did grow. She stood up straight as she looked down at her half-finished drink. "Last drink of the night or I might be in trouble when I get back to my room."

Koyuki takes another glance to Rei, offering him a brief nod, and then steps up more toward Hide instead. Leaning in somewhat so that she could speak more easily over the ambient sound of the club, "Someone waiting for you there, Matsu-sama, or is there some other reason?" she asked, and then leaned back enough to gauge Hide's response, vocal and otherwise.

There was no sense of embarrassment or shame from the Matsu, far from it. She happily puffed her chest out in pride. "Of course! My wife! I don't want to come back to her smelling like a drunkard!"

It would be a safe assumption that this Matsu was the excitable sort.

[Kuni Koyuki]

"That is darling. No, you wouldn't would you," she says, laughs actually. Koyuki wouldn't have believed it herself but she didn't quite notice over the sound of the music. However, that was also because she was a bit distracted with herself as well. Now, in some small way invading Hide's personal space by reaching forward and putting her hand on Hide's drink. Not pulling it from her by any physically forceful means but there was a rather present insistence in her presence and gaze that communicated her desire for Hide to hand it over well enough.

Rei watched the curious interplay between the Lion and the Crab, eyebrows raised. Was this going to lead to a fight, or making out? Or both? Although if the Matsu was happily married... "You know, I think I'm going to get some water."

Chuckling, he turned back to the bar. It was an interesting night. He could see the previous DJ relaxing; Rei raised his drink in their direction. Over there was some sort of Scorpion personality. And here... ah.

"Hey, barkeep!" Rei waved, then gestured with open palm, indicating Hinata, using his extra height to generate attention for the short pop star.

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh thanks Usagi-sammaaaaaaa!"

To be honest Hinata had been about to resort to climbing up and sitting on the bar to get someone's attention. He also didn't want a repeat of proving his age like he had had to do at the door. He really didn't like having to wave his wakizashi around.

Once finally noticed for service he ordered something multi coloured with three umbrellas and a plastic Shimmerwing on a stick in it.

"That is darling. No, you wouldn't would you," she says, laughs actually. Koyuki wouldn't have believed it herself but she didn't quite notice over the sound of the music. "Oh." Hide looked down at the hand on her drink, brows knitted in slight confusion. "OH! Right. I probably shouldn't finish this off, huh? Might be a little too much."

The Matsu handed the drink over as she gave the Kuni a grateful smile. "Thanks for that. Hey, I got a question. So, let's say my wife was like a former Kuni and maybe I was a bit concerned that she hasn't gotten comfortable and settled in with the Lion... Is there anything I can do to help with that?"
