[D6 ME] The Concert

"You're right. I've been to quite a few wild parties. I mostly just watch from an isolated corner, though." he nodded. "If you weren't being yourself, I suspect I'd find you less appealing."

"Oh, really? I thought Kitsune-sama would be a hoot at parties. Or...whatever sound a fox makes, I guess? What does a fox say?" She asked idly, sidetracked. "ARigatou, well. I find Kitsune-sama being himself quite charming too, neh."

"Barking, mostly. I've never liked being the center of attention, which probably sounds strange." he explained. "On stage or before a camera it's different, a performance, something planned. Parties are just chaotic. You don't know what might happen or what to prepare for."

"Well then, I guess I don't feel bad for hoggign your time tonight then. Parties can be great, if there's a good..mood, I guess? Rhythm? A party by default isn't always fun, but if it has a good...groove, it can be great."

She took a sip. "Of course, a quiet walk in the gardens also has its own atmosphere."

Sakura smiled. "Certainly. I am sure the Detective likes long walks on the beach." She winked at Kiyoshi, to indicate a jest. "This concert as been great so far, thankfully. Been to a few busts lately." she looked down at her drink, which was nearly finished. "Is there any place Kitsune-sama wishes to visit here, that you haven't so far?"

"Gokuraku." he answered. "I don't generally frequent public baths, because the Detective wouldn't be welcome. But, I do like to indulge myself when I can. And, he's gotten used to the embassy now. I can leave him there for a few hours with out much of an issue."

Sakura nodded. "I haven't been ages. Usually I just use the embassy for a quick shower as appropriae, but a good soaking in warm water." Wow, that DID sound good. "Maybe we should make a date of it?"

Sakura nodded enthusiastically. "Great." Glancing up. "I think the concert is finished, and I need to help Yoritomo-sama set up at the party...oh, you're welcome to join, at the House of Storms." Sweet Skaura, ignorant of any bad blood between the Mantis and the Fox was bubbly as always.

"I'll be there. But, I'll take the Detective back to our room first." he smiled. "If we don't see each other at the party, we'll definitely see each other in a couple of days."

Eriko looked up for a moment and took a sip from her glass, chuckling. This wasn't before she gave Hide's arm another pat before reaching for said glass. "I had to say, before stepping foot into the embassy. I've always thought of myself as a dog person. I've never had one, obviously, but every aspiring witch hunter always wanted their own dog. Dogs and witch hunters are just a natural pair, especially when it comes to the hunting part. Having a dog partner with me wherever I go, looking for clues and taking down bad guys. I really had my mindset on it for a while...you know, if it wasn't for that whole caring and nurturing thing. I'd probably know how to spoil one but not know anything about training. That's the hard part."

"I think we might have given up that lead the moment I reported it to the magistrates," she gave a shrug at that. "You really erased that guy's face to get much of an ID, if they even kept an ID on supposedly-ronin scum around here. I'd rather not get on the local magistrate's bad side. Messing around on some frontier planet is one thing but around here, there's less leeway.”

Eriko wanted a dog. She ended up with a golden retriever wife. Hide looked excited still as Eriko mentioned she always wanted a dog. “Oh! Training. I know some places offer training classes for young dogs. And I could help with the training, of course. That is if you still want a dog.”

“As for the Scions… Would sure love to get the jump on them at some point. I’m sick of being shot at while doing other stuff.”

But, I don't think we should get a dog unless we can be in the same place, you know. What if the pup ends up liking you more than they do me? You're easily the more lovable one between both of us, I say!"

She nodded soundly at that. "You might be on to something there. I was honestly thinking about the same thing. It's very doubtful they'll all just be at this one motor garage either. Unless the True Scions are looking to expand their operations to space and land."

We kind of need a few promotions before we can splurge for a bigger place, if we're going to make it in a city like this one. Unless, you want to consider reassignment to some farming world. Inari’s Cradle could be nice, especially since we got married there. That's if, you know...you don't let other things that happened there spoil it for you."

"I'm pretty sure that our parents splurged a fair portion to make that possible, all that with the receiving guests and getting dressed up for the wedding and all that. I was under the impression that room was meant to be two rooms but they lowered the walls once we were married-married. Even if we could have a room half as big as that, it would be a drastic improvement! Hah, I might get a little mad trying to find a bubble tea place there but the switch might be still worth it, especially if you're around."

"Admittedly, getting married didn't exactly give me all that much time to do much sightseeing in the place. There were pretty much a lot of fields and forests from what I can imagine. It's not exactly a place I think they ever thought would host a winter court, so figured that they wouldn't have all the, let's call them, leisure of life." She shrugged. "And I didn't know that you were friends with Kitsune-sama! I guess no surprise my wife has friends in important places, huh?"
