[D6 ME] The Concert

"Oh, Isee. They are so cute! Soshi-sama allowed me to play with a couple of them. She has done some tireless work there." She smiled fondly. "What other kind of animals live on Inari's Cradle, can I ask? Besides the foxes."

"Many. There are different terrains on the planet." he explained. "The Lion have their agricultural developments, which we assist with. Our villages are in the jungles around a mountain where we grow tea and harvest various herbs. So, we see a lot of jungle animals. Countless species of birds, rodents, lizards and snakes. There are large predator cats, monkeys and other apes. Elephants and water buffalo, as well."

"I could take you there someday." he offered. "As for my favorite animal, I am contractually and personally obligated to say the Detective."

The Detective applauded.

"Beyond that, however, there are these small sloths that hang on a tree outside my family home." he smiled. "I've always loved watching them, even though they barely move."

"Ah, I see. Such a legal burden." She waved towards the Detective. "Oh, I wouldn't wish to burden Kitsune-sama. The sloths sound cute though!"

He took it and bowed in gratitude. After that, he cleaned the glasses and put them back on. Finally seeing again, he looked at the samurai in front of him, "Thank you. My name is Miya Nsihida. I am in your debt, "he called over the music, normally he would introduce himself fully, but the music was too loud and too many details would be lost in the noise.

She bows again, a bit awkwardly as she gets herself upright again, but trying to be respectful. "Pleased to meet a servant of the Empire, Miya-sama. Soshi Kioku", then, now back to her proper footing, with a nod and a small smile. "And nothing to worry about, really!". Then, tilting her head pointing at the stage. "It's quite inspiring, ne? Yakumo-san is a phenomenon, of course, but she seems quite inspired today!"

He can notice what seems like some slight uneasiness at praising a Spider personality so openly... but she's a pop diva after all.

[Matsu Eriko]

“It wouldn’t have been tough out there on me as it was for you here. Sure they sent you somewhere you knew, but stuck you in the Embassy without anyone familiar.” Hide seemed more than happy to receive the touch on her forearm, her face visibly lighting up.

"Eh," she gave a shrug, trying to brush it off as no big deal. "I wouldn't be much of a born-Kuni if I couldn't tough out a bit of loneliness. Besides, you're kind of stuck in a metal tube in the middle of space while I'm here drinking bubble tea and snooping on people doing deviant stuff. Not with the woman I love, sure, but not quite Meido or nothing. Of course, now that you're here, it's sunshine and rainbows. I don't think there's anyone else I'd rather be while getting shot at."

She gave Hide another wink at those words. "You can bet that's a fact."

He chuckled. "Hotaru-san, I am running out of appropriate ways to compliment you and assure you of how much I enjoy your company."

Sakura kept blushing. "Sorry, I...I just am not used to it? Or at least not used toi t from such auspicious samurai." She sighed. "I don't mean to make things awkward to you I just...I guess, I just assumed you already have a betrothed, or someone who is as handsome or pretty to match you."

"No." he shook his head. "The studio didn't want any of us to be betrothed. They felt it would diminish our general appeal. It's a bit complicated. But, surely there are others who have complimented you."

"Eh," she gave a shrug, trying to brush it off as no big deal. "I wouldn't be much of a born-Kuni if I couldn't tough out a bit of loneliness. Besides, you're kind of stuck in a metal tube in the middle of space while I'm here drinking bubble tea and snooping on people doing deviant stuff. "That's actually true, and she appreciates good tea" he replied with a smile, "I promised her I'd be here, and maybe I'm somewhat complicit in this event...who knows." he had a little flashback about the little session with her in the park after.

"Although I'm not really a fan of pop, I'm really,... "he searhced for the right word, ",..excited about this concert".

She smirked. "Some...my old roommate was always kind with a word, or at least a backhanded compliment. We often use to check each other, before going out, offering advice and compliments."

But hey, I didn't forget that awesome idea you had during our date together. Might have to take a rain cheque on that but I still want to take you up on that."

"Ah, I see. I guess hte parties we are now attending aren't really new to you then, right? Like the sake brand unveiling. Or the masquerade. Or the other masquerade that's coming up." She shrugged. "Arigatou. It's...I don't feel like I've earned them? I'm just being polite, being myself? It feels...a bit lot." She blushed. "But I do appreciate them."

"You're right. I've been to quite a few wild parties. I mostly just watch from an isolated corner, though." he nodded. "If you weren't being yourself, I suspect I'd find you less appealing."

“We had to bunk with three other people on Asakaze. I mean, Mumei-san was a great bunk mate but probably best not to have more than just us in a room.” Hide couldn’t take that much teasing, truth be told. “As far as the date… Maybe if we can find your stuff soon, we can relax at the hotel. But I agree we should make finding that a priority.”

Very much something the Kuni relied on for centuries when it came to social situations. "Not saying I want that now, especially now that we're married. Hm, maybe we should consider..."

"As for my stuff," she let out a sigh on the matter. "I get the feeling that we might have left an important clue after dashing out of there so quickly. We should get back to the trail before it gets too cold. I'm thinking if we pin down where those True Scions are found around the city, we might be able to get a leg up on them before they even try anything."

Eriko looked up for a moment and took a sip from her glass, chuckling. This wasn't before she gave Hide's arm another pat before reaching for said glass. "I had to say, before stepping foot into the embassy. I've always thought of myself as a dog person. I've never had one, obviously, but every aspiring witch hunter always wanted their own dog. Dogs and witch hunters are just a natural pair, especially when it comes to the hunting part. Having a dog partner with me wherever I go, looking for clues and taking down bad guys. I really had my mindset on it for a while...you know, if it wasn't for that whole caring and nurturing thing. I'd probably know how to spoil one but not know anything about training. That's the hard part."

"I think we might have given up that lead the moment I reported it to the magistrates," she gave a shrug at that. "You really erased that guy's face to get much of an ID, if they even kept an ID on supposedly-ronin scum around here. I'd rather not get on the local magistrate's bad side. Messing around on some frontier planet is one thing but around here, there's less leeway."
