(D3, ME) Singing in the Mists (Open)

It was a busy day on the World of Dreams. People were hustling about getting ready to shoot fireworks at temple bells, play on the beach, fight deadly battles and do all the crime! As such, Hato was able to find a small spot in the garden to sing without hopefully disturbing anyone.
Separated from you, I'm asking the passed time
where I should go now.
On nights that were too long, I dreamt of going on a journey.
Staring at a strange world's sky, I cradled my loneliness.
As the flowing tears overlap the winds of time,
I can feel your unending sighs.
Dry your tears with love.
Dry your tears with love.
Loneliness... your silent whisper
fills a river of tears through the night.
Memory... you never let me cry,11
and you, you never said good-bye.
Sometimes our tears blinded the love.
We lost our dreams along the way.
But I never thought you'd trade your soul to the fates,
never thought you'd leave me alone.
Time through the rain has set me free.
Sands of time will keep your memory.
Love everlasting fades away,
alive within your beatless heart.
Dry your tears with love.
Dry your tears with love.
As the flowing tears overlap the winds of time,
the unending sorrow changes to a blue rose.
Dry your tears with love.
Dry your tears with love.
As the flowing tears overlap the winds of time,
I can feel your unending sighs.
Dry your tears with love.
Dry your tears with love.
Dry your tears with love.
Dry your tears with love.
If you could have told me everything,
you would have found what love is.
If you could have told me what was on your mind,
I would have shown you the way.
Someday I'm gonna be older than you.
I've never thought beyond that time.
I've never imagined the pictures of that life.
For now, I will try to live for you and for me.
I will try to live with love, with dreams,
and forever with tears.

The Otomo has gone all out this evening with his attire. He walked the paths of the Gardens with all the confidence in the world as glitter bounced off his shoulders with every step. Yellow stripes clashed in battle with lime green and purple squares dotting the outer kimono while a pair of raised paldrons with pink and red streamers stood like goblins of fashion upon his shoulders. His Otomo ring was on his index finger.
"HATO-SAN!" Koroshi noticed the voice singing in the gardens and waited until she finished to yell and wave as he walked closer.

Without even looking at him, Hato could almost see the Otomo coming before she heard him. He was just that bright.
She bowed deeply upon his approach.
"Lord Chrysanthemum. This one is deeply honored to cross paths with Lord Chrysanthemum yet again. This one hopes that Lord Chrysanthemum has been well in the lacuna between our meetings." she said, honestly happy to see the Otomo again.

Koroshi returned the bow with his normal energy before taking a seat next to the ronin. He didn't ask if he could sit but it didn't occur to him that she would decline.
"I have been very busy! Mostly tourist nonsense though some of it was real diplomatic work with my superiors. They seem pleased with me, which means that my glory will continue to shine until it breaks the clouds above!" He put his hands out to smash those dastardly clouds before remembering he was actually on the ground.
"But yes, yes, how has Hato-san been? Has she found any singing partners? Has she acted honorably? Does she need someone to remind others to be honorable?"

The Otomo probably could have sat on Hato's head like a garishly plumed bird and it was unlikely she'd think to voice a complaint.
"This one has been well, thank you for asking Lord Chrysanthemum. As a matter of fact, this on was fortunate enough to sing with a fellow wolf last night. Together we lifted our voices to the moons surrounded by no other audience save the evening songbirds. While he apologied profusely for his relative lack of skill, this one greatly enjoyed the experience nonetheless. No matter how talented a singer is, one cannot sing a duet alone." she explained.
The memory of it brought a brief smile to her face.
"This one would assume that at that time, Lord Chrysanthemum was attending the sake party that was the talk of the town. This one wonders if the party lived up to Lord Chrysanthmum's standards." she asked indirectly.

"Ah, is Benten shining upon the springtime of Hato-san's youth?" Koroshi asked while wiggling his eyes at her. "Tell me this ronin's name that I might make sure their intentions are honest!"
The Otomo thought back to the sake party. "Ah...it was filled with sake. I am afraid my tolerance was not up to the task, and while I was capable of returning home under my own power, I could not enjoy the party to the extreme!" He looked sad for a moment. "I succeeded as my lord asked as far as making friends, and I did not embarass him with any faux pas. But one cannot merely be competent, one must be excellent and spectacular!"

Hato smiled a bit at the Otomo's teasing.
"Ah, it was merely two wolves howling at the moons together Lord Chrysanthemum. Benten surely has more important matters to attend to. However, he did strike this one as particularly honorable and earnest. If Lord Chrysanthemum has a need for such men, this one would recommend Okuri-san." she revealed.
There was a small shake of the head at the Otomo's sake party description.
"Ah, while Lord Chrysanthemum's dedication to perfection is admirable, perhaps seeking to become the best at drinking is not the best use of Lord Chrysanthemum's time. While this one does not doubt a will as strong as Lord Chrysanthemum's could achieve it, this one has seen the ravages sake can wreck upon a man. Lord Chrysanthemum is too handsome to give himself over to sake so heavily. The loss of beauty would make Lady Doji herself weep." she counseled.

"Worry not, worry not. This humble servant of the Empire will not seek to drink unto success. Or perhaps it should be to excess." Koroshi laughed at his own poor pun before becoming slightly more serious. "Jurojin's balm is what I would seek to master, to whisper my wishes to the kami while drinking. That they may sap the power of alcohol from my blood and leave me clearheaded. But it is a frivolous wish unless I am ordered to do so by my lord! It is not wise to ask the kami for things that one should take care of on their own. Perhaps I am muddled, let me say this: I will drink too much when I must and never further."
He smiled and looked up at the darkening sky. "Benten watches us all, Hato-san. Okuri-san should be pleased to have gotten your attention at least, you seem most discriminating. Which reminds me, are you still available for some work? I will have to speak in metaphor to explain it subtly but in short, my lord has become interested in something that I thought you might want to do!"

Hato tilted her head at that.
"It would depend on what Lord Chrysanthemum was wishing to have done. This one does have some work that they have agreed to do, but this one could not agree to nor decline what Lord Chrysanthemum is seeking until listening to his request with this one's full attention. However, this one is not prone to gossip, so if an agreement is not met, this one will virtually forget the request to any who would ask of this one if a request was made. This one will have merely enjoyed listening to Lord Chrysanthemum speaking of a movie he has recently seen." she offered, as one possibility for subtlety.

Koroshi looked at her with awe, "Hato-san is very wise. Ok, so there is this horror movie where there is this big mine on an industrial planet. The main characters are overseeing the work as mechanical engineers and maintenance engineers and the movie starts with them being told that work is way behind. Workers are disappearing and the other workers are afraid to go into the dark pits."
Koroshi ran a hand through his hair, making it messier than normal as he tried to get to the point. "So the main characters go into the mine when something breaks and start getting picked off by some spooky dark thing that they can't see or whatever. I was wondering if you would be willing to look into the reviews of the movie and see if the special effects are worth the price of admission."

Hato brightened a bit at that.
"Ah, this one understands Lord Chrysanthemum." she said, honestly a bit relieved with the request. This one is busy tomorrow, but could comb through the reviews thoroughly the next day."
She looked down a bit.
"This one would need some funds for supplies though. This one would do such a favor for Lord Chrysanthemum if she could, but the supply merchants are not so kindly disposed to this one and require gifts for their time." she offered.

"Worry not, worry not." Koroshi waved off her concerns. "If your presence is not enough of a gift for such people then this one will see that something is given to keep all things balanced. It should be no great task."
"Now, tell me about the last place you saw a movie..."
(Fade to chitchat?)
