Susumu Kimurahime
Susumu Kimurahimi was present to support her husband, as well as potentially get some schmoozing done. Managing the household didn't exactly give too many opportunities for making connections outside of playing with building blocks and hashing out sibling diplomacy. She would make her appearance tonight in a green sequined gown with a mermaid skirt. Her mask was an elaborate lace design with onyx gems.

Which was why he now sported a traditional kitsune half mask from the nose up, over blood red painted lips and a long white wig to try and hide his distinctive blue hair. The wig having been added by the Embassy staff as there was no way Hinata would have remembered he needed to stay 'anonymous' tonight. They'd also given him a lecture on how to behave which he'd promptly forgotten.

Kimurahime quietly watched people gather about, catching little bits and parts of who they might be under the mask. Was the fun knowing who was underneath or accepting what persona they were adopting tonight?
She perked up when Yuji approached and smiled genuinely at the compliment. The outfit was a small secret she kept locked away for such an occasion. However, she suspected that Yuji's outfit was bound to turn more heads.
"Thank you, my handsome dark prince." She tittered with her smile. Her eyes looked rather pleased with how he wore his costume. "You are very majestic. I only hope to be a worthy consort tonight."
With the quests speaking in hushed tones, Yakumo was likely able to hear him smirk, even if his mask hid the grin that flickered on his lips, the lord magistrate letting his 'paw' drop. "Alas, my face is literally all over the place, not much unlike yours." Of course Yakumo's face was associated with posters telling about her Imperial tour while Mineichi's face decorated much of the local propaganda posters. "And honor is all mine. It seems that the whole city is talking about a certain lady peacock, yes?" He looked markedly at her, trying to catch her eyes with his for a moment. "So I figured to see myself and not trust the lesser birds and their words." Painted eyes narrowed in thought as she looked the man up and down. "Hmmm... I recognise you~" Yakumo's voice turned up somewhat as she connected the dots. Which was impressive enough as she had not seen the man in person like this before. But, she probably should not draw attention to it?
"'Tis an honor, esteemed cat lord," she settled on, figuring that he'd know that she knew.

The handsome man replies with a twist and takes the young Scorpion into a hold as the dance makes her lean back nearing the floor. In that momentum, still with the rose in between his teeth –– which adds a funny element to the scene –– he replies with a returning whisper, "Step by step, my darling. Bit by bit. Senshuken is very agile, but by no means that good of a dancer. So she decides to surrender herself to the masked man like a leaf in the wind. She has to admit that the Kaiu is a very funny man, too tall but admitedly funny with great responses to her teases. And brave of course.
