“Ah! No need. I’m cutting back on drinking a little.” Hide herself could not stop smiling. “Well, we did go to the concert the other night! Though, we have been busy with a few other things I do hope to have a couple of nights out with other couples. I offered to Yurei-san once she spoke with you that I would be happy to have a double date kind of meal, my treat.”

"Ah, really? Sounds like great fun!" Sakura did not squee, for that was unbecoming.

"A glass of water perhaps?" Her mind started thinking. If Hide was buying, they should at least buy her and her wife, Eriko, a gift in return. What does a Matsu even like? Besides guns.

"Sounds lovely. I've never been on a double date before."

"Gunso. I'm honored then. I am the aide to the Spider Ambassador here upon the World of Dreams. A very different battlefield than what you may be used to." He responded with a similar dip of the head.

"As do we all. As gracious guests, of course. Still, sometimes the... lack of subtlety even with the airs that are put on can take one breathless. I'm pleased to see that not everyone gets so easily swept up in it." His smile, painted vibrant red, stood out from his features.

"How have you found your time here so far?"

"Staff Officer actually," Reki smiled, "My time is split between battlefield, HQ, and court."

"Given the effect, I suppose they didn't feel the need for subtlety or are playing 6D Go. And we are all still caught up in the plot." Her smile turned to a smirk, "It seems more than not got pulled into this particular dream."

"As for my time... it's alright. I am on leave and an Ikoma personnel officer decided here would be a good place."

[Asahina Hinata]

"It can wait," she says. Koyuki's manner wasn't as comforting naturally, perhaps. Yet, there was a certain finality to it when she said certain things that ultimately was comforting. Like suddenly the worry wasn't there because permission was granted to a different solution.

"Should I continue then? There are a few more familiar faces. Some new ones came in too."

He'd been stuck between going to ask for Hide's comm code and staying to talk to Koyuki, almost hovering over the seat, but her simple 'It can wait' had him sitting back down.

"Oh more people?"

He looked around the sea of Scorpion with little islands of other clans.

"Oh I think I see some people I know now!"

[Kuni Koyuki]

He'd been stuck between going to ask for Hide's comm code and staying to talk to Koyuki, almost hovering over the seat, but her simple 'It can wait' had him sitting back down.

"Oh more people?"

He looked around the sea of Scorpion with little islands of other clans.

"Oh I think I see some people I know now!"

"Suddenly you are already getting better at this. I do not think you have any limits Asahina-san," she says, a put on sort of friendliness but there was earnest intent behind it.

"My apologies for assuming, Akodo-san. I have to ask, was this personnel officer a friend, or were they looking to ruffle your mane, as it were?" He asked softly, keeping the conversation between them. Yuji had to admit, she had a winning smirk that suited her features.

"I've been here for several years, yet it always has new surprises over the course of every day."

Definitely been there more than a few times but she just nods. "Definitely. Kissing girls," she nods again, "and boys sometimes, why not, is always on my mind. Especially if it comes with the extra perks of liking it and forget who they were right after."

She raises her glass for a toast. "May you relive it soon, Usagi san. Not recently just won't do. Not under my watch!"

The over-tall Rei grinned, toasting with her. Ah, youth.

"Well..." He shrugged. "I'll admit, I've had a certain interest in remembering who they are lately. What can I say?" He shrugged. "I'm getting sentimental in my mid-twenties." He smirked. "Besides, this way you can find the really good kissers again."

Smiling, he bowed. "Still, despite the eviscerating I've just received, I'd be pleased to find us new drinks." A quick glance around, his eyes narrowing. Rei swooped in, swiping two drinks from a waiter carrying them to a distant table.

He returned, offering one to Senshuken. "Hopefully that will do for brains. I guess you'll have to see my abs next."

Sudden yet inevitable servant was a Crane speciality so Hinata wasn't surprised at all. Despite trying to follow the instructions he was totally lose by the third one and just had to hope it came with umbrellas and maybe a plastic spine drake on a stick.

If she was honest, she'd added a few directions in that she didn't need to add. Koyuki never did answer Hinata's question either, but just sat with him looking at him occasionally as they waited without seemingly a care. When it did eventually return, the drink was set down in front of Koyuki and she slid it over to Hinata.

The drink in question was a orange-red mixture with most of the red sinking to the bottom, a clear mixing of these two colors about 2/3'ds up the glass garnished with a lime. When tasted it would be very sweet, cranberry being the major component but the potent pineapple juice flavor there not being forgotten. Alcohol felt like it practically wasn't even there.

[Otomo Koroshi]

Koroshi was at the event in a purple felt suit with black tie and sneakers that lit up with running red lights when he walked. He was busy drinking and thinking about how all the Scorpion do is drink and fuck.

Kazumi had been a little late and was apparently off their game tonight. Instead of flitting around conversing happily among the guests the Scorpion seemed to just be nursing a drink a little away from the main throng.

Keeping quiet and still . . . well maybe not still as he had fidgeted around for most of the wait, was a monumental task for one such as Hinata. Somehow (probably because day flip has happened and I can't roll his paltry Willpower for this) he did manage to wait without going off on a random tangent of distraction.

Then the drink arrived. What the Crane called a 'Danger Cocktail'. Bright, colourful, sweet, fruity . . . and with hidden alcohol. Far too easy to get drunk on these. Young Crane were warned not to drink these at official events and taught to recognise when someone had given them one. Hinata . . . . Hinata though . . .

"Oh WOW! So pretty!" Slurp! "Oh that tastes divine. I'm even not upset by the lack of little umbrellas or plastic birds on a stick."
