D10 MM - So Innocuous

[Yoritomo Seika]

Seika has to smile a bit at that image, shaking her head. "We don't actually live in the oceans on the water planets. There are cities, you know?"

She sips her tea, sobering a bit. "I get what you mean, though. It'd be a big plunge into the unknown and all that, even with a landing pad lined up. You don't have to decide right away or anything. Just thought you should know that... if you want it, or if you need it, I'd consider it owed. Service rendered to the lost souls in those rocks, if nothing else, right? And there's other stuff to delve on a place like, say, Zuiryu too--cities, jungles, deepwater reefs, polar caves..."

She chuckles. "Don't worry, you still get the koku either way. A deal's a deal with a Mantis."

[Dai]

Dai nods, "It's tempting, in its own right, but terrifying too - I'll admit it. But, in any case, I truly appreciate the offer."

[Yoritomo Seika]

"I did watch your delve vid. I don't think you're a coward." Seika smiles to herself as she sips her tea. "Well, you'll do what you want, neh? But if you think Yoritomo Dai sounds all right, just know it's doable. At least while I'm around for the season."

She crunches a bit of ice that had found its way up through the oversized straw. "Or maybe there's still more freaky industrial accident ghosts for you to discover here, that's fine too."

[Dai]

"That... is a very weighty offer Yoritomo-sama. I thought you simply meant leaving this world." He shakes his head a little, more in disbelief than dismissal, "It is not something a ronin ever expects to truly hear."

Despite his survival instincts laying out all the benefits something stopped him from snapping at the offer right then and there. Perhaps it was too good to be true. He hadn't actually even succeeded at her task yet after all.

"I... I will take some time to think on this. But know that I recognize the importance and value of this offer. Thank you, Yoritomo-sama."

[Yoritomo Seika]

"Oof, you don't have to be that formal." Seika shrugs uncomfortably. "Thinking is good. Having options is good. The best choices are the ones you make for yourself, and don't let other people make for you... well, anyway, that's how I feel about it. Meanwhile it's a nice day, and the company's decent."

[Dai]

He tries to let the weight of the topic go as he nods and smiles, "Very fine company indeed."

"Whatever happens, I still gotta watch more of your back catalogue," Seika adds with a chuckle. "Or if you're making new stuff after this. Even after I'm off planet, the House of Storms can handle a little mail for me."

Dai grins a little, "Well you've definitely seen the best one so far - but there's some other solid episodes as well."
