Yamako had her driver drop her and Utaku-san off a little ways out, so as to avoid looking quite so much like a target. While this was not her preferred method for dealing with the need for information for the clan, she felt a burning need to atone for her mistakes the night before that had cost the clan valuable information. Utaku-san was kind enough or itchy enough for something else to do to accompany her.

This was one of those moments where a diplomat had to pretend to be as fierce as a bushi. But how did one find a ronin to help one accomplish...less savory deeds? Coming across Yurei the first day had been a boon but that work was going to be slower. She needed something in case that fell through.

On their way over, Yesugen double-checked all the functionalities of her sidearm. Once satisfied, she reholstered the weapon, safety on, then looked back to the Ide. "This destination is not suited for you," she said. "Nor is it for me. But for you, especially not." Still, she wasn't the sort to fuss too much over the diplomat's choices. This was, after all, a chance for her to add some excitement to her life.

As soon as they were out on the streets, Yesugen began scoping out the area. Unlike piloting a video game ship, she seemed quite apt at navigating a brand new place in search for, well, not-so-savory types. "Follow me, please."

"Duty calls and a samurai does not ignore it. Even if duty takes us places...we would rather not go." Deeply grateful that Utaku-san is with her regardless, she follows.

"Does your duty demand that you come here? You could have sent me by my lonesome." Yesugen kept her pace casual. Though their clothing ultimately revealed that they weren't local, she didn't want to earn unwanted attention; she only sought the right type. "I would think your duties would mostly call for you to sit in cushioned rooms, sipping tea, finalizing plans which could shatter worlds."

“I felt it would be the coward’s way to send you alone. I am not without my defenses. Plus, you are on vacation.”

"You are much unlike other courtiers. They would be more than glad to send a bushi into danger without thinking twice." Yesugen smiled, one that taunted the Ide for caring. "But yes, you are correct. I am supposed to relax and you aren't a babe I need to nurture."
